The house was quirky and fun. Creaky wooden floors. Plenty of pillows and soft surfaces. Loads of character throughout. There was plenty of space for all five of us. This was a fun house to stay in for a vacation. SUCH a great location if you want to explore Southport.

Wifi is iffy. It kept going in and out. Not a terrible thing but for my family who likes to unwind at night with a TV show or a YouTube video, it was a little annoying. No bathroom downstairs also wasn't a big deal, but might be challenging for some.

It was different and cute for our family.

Pretty much everything! Perfect girls trip for me and my 20 y/o granddaughter. Appreciated Melissa letting me know when the place was ready for occupancy. A lot of attention to detail. Did not realize before hand that the house would be supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish detergent, coffee etc. I enjoyed walking around outside discovering lily of the valley blooming (my mother’s favorite flower and haven’t seen in years). Enjoyed seeing wild strawberries blooming and the azaleas already beautifully in bloom. The location was great. Loved the coffee bar and the coziness of everything.

The lack of a bathroom on the main floor was a little bit of a problem for me due to a bad knee and requiring me to ascend stairs each toilet trip. Considerable dust appearing throughout that I didn’t expect to see when cleaning fees are charged, also several areas with spider webs indoors. Felt the cleanup fee was excessive when also requiring the tenant to leave the place in the same way as found.

Location was definitely one of the best attributes of this home. I wanted somewhere we could walk to restaurants and shopping and this house was perfect. I liked the layout of the first floor where we were able to sit on either side of the breakfast nook, or for meals and game time, at the spacious dining room table.

There was a hiccup on our arrival date. Melissa had us down for January 13th when we were actually scheduled to arrive on the 12th, my daughter's birthday. I could tell the property manager felt terrible and wanted to do whatever it took to make me happy. At that point, I didn't want to dwell on things but rather enjoy the long-awaited weekend with my daughter.

The house was extremely clean and comfortable. The downstairs area was excellent and had everything needed (comfortable furniture, more than adequate eating areas, nice coffee/breakfast bar). All supplies were there and everything neatly in its place. Dishes and cookware was more than adequate. Cute courtyard with fireplace and grilling area. Lovely home overall.

The only issue for us was that the master bedroom was on the 3rd floor. We had our dogs with us and my 13 yr old dog can't get up and down the stairs so I ended up sleeping downstairs with her.
