This is our second stay at the pelican beach resort, the first time was very great and this time was great as well, it seems like the rules have changed quite a bit since the last time I stayed, the rental agreement was kinda intimidating with all the potential fees and etc on every other line item it seemed, but we didn’t run into or had any of those issues to deal with so it was fine. Didn’t care much about having to wear a bracelet, that was definitely new to us as well along with a $25 fee if you lost one - kind of ridiculous. Other than that the place was nice clean and worked perfectly for our family and we would encourage anyone else to visit here, make sure to check out the new rules and all the potential fees that are now included .
Make sure everyone in your party knows the door code because apparently after the third time of entering the wrong code it’s going to cost you at least $35
I say this because in my emails I was sent two different door codes in two different emails, but luckily, I figured it out before it was an issue.
So definitely do your due diligence and make sure that you’re not going to get one of these many many fees they list.

A wonderful stay for our family of four, with two young kiddos! Julie’s home is a warm, elegant and tranquil space. It was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped for us to cook family meals. Super convenient to enjoying the gorgeous beach, and the umbrella service is definitely worthwhile. Beds were a little soft for us, but we are used to sleeping on firm beds. Would definitely return on future visits! Thank you for hosting us!

We loved our time in Destin and this condo. It was exactly as described and the unit was well stocked with everything we could have needed and more. The kids loved the bunks with their own smart TVs. The views from the balcony were amazing. The unit was clean and comfortable. It was so nice of Julie to leave us welcome gifts and call to check up on us. The resort property was well kept and clean. The Tiki Hut bar and Cafe were super convenient. We will definitely be back to Destin and would love to stay at this resort and this condo again!

Everything in the condo was lovely! It was clean, fresh, well-appointed, and beautifully decorated. From the outset with check-in until we left, we had a totally enjoyable, relaxing get-away. The accommodations and setting were truly phenomenal--white sand, emerald water, dolphins, a tiki bar, pools, and a lovely balcony from which to take it all in.
This was our first visit to the gulf, and I must say that it couldn't have been more enjoyable! We look forward to returning! Thanks, Julie!

I just have to say that the pictures of this place do not do it justice! This is the most beautiful view I have ever had. This condo was so extreamly gorgeous that I was shocked! I travel a lot and I am so overwhelmed by how beautifully it was decorated. Julie is the owner and she made us so comfortable . I called her to just ask a couple questions about the area and she had a huge binder with all the best places to eat and visit. I am just thrilled by her kindness . I will be visiting there again soon!

Julie was so kind and easy to work with. Her condo was clean and beachy! We celebrated my birthday, my first Mother’s Day and we found out the gender of our first baby! Such a special week and we would definitely return. Having beach chairs and an umbrella available at the unit was thoughtful. Julie ensured we had everything we needed during our stay! We had a great stay at Julie’s place! Check in and communication was great. It was clean and had everything we needed. The view is amazing! Beds were super comfortable. The kids loved the bunks. We saw dolphins off the deck almost everyday. Very family friendly resort. Felt very safe. It well kept and the staff was great. Cafe food and drinks were great. Even a waitress on the beach. I would highly recommend the beach chair service. It’s expensive but so worth it and especially to be able to see the kids in the water. Destin is beautiful, a place we will come back to!

Our family had a great time staying in your property. Everything was very clean-and fairly well stocked. We were surprised there wasn’t any salt and pepper-but that was an easy fix. I will also say there isn’t much space for storing things-but we figured it out and made due. The location was great-a beautiful view of the gulf. The elevators were VERY slow-and one was always broken-so that just allowed us to work on our patience. The pools were nice and warm, the beach bar was convenient. We didn’t love having to rent beach chairs-but understood that’s how it works there. We didn’t see any bugs or anything that other people mentioned. Beds were comfy-the kids loved the tv’s in each bunk.

Julie is great to work with! She was always available if needed and was great with communication through this whole process. The place was amazing with views of the sunrise and the sunset. Lots of kitchen accessories to accommodate for our meals and the set up was great. The toys in the bench were a great addition. The heated pools were wonderful for the days that is was too chilly to venture to the beach. What a wonderful stay! Thanks Julie!

Barefoot bungalow was beautiful. Great views of the ocean. We had a wonderful time, our daughter loved the pools. It was clean and beautifully decorated. Mrs.Julie even sent us recommendations for things to do while down there. Such a sweet lady and she was a wonderful host.

Barefoot Bungalow was by far the best condo we have stayed in at the Pelican Resort. It is beautifully decorated and felt like home! Extremely clean and amazing view of the beach! Julie is the absolute best and was so kind and considerate of our family! She even left gifts for us upon arrival! We will definitely go back to any room that Julie has going forward.

Great place for a couple get away or family stay! Plenty of sand toys, chairs, umbrella available for use. Kitchen had more than enough dishes for our family of 5 staying the week. Julie was very responsive and made sure all was well as soon as we got in. Even had welcome gifts for the adults and kids! Destin beaches are beautiful and the kids loved being able to see thru the clear water and try catching fish. We will definitely come back!

Clean room had everything you need to cook almost any meal. Only con was that the beach was private and they did not allow personal setup in front of the rental company so you could only set up after 5 rows. This was an issue with us because we had small kids.

First time to Destin and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We took our 8mth and 30 yr old daughters and they loved it too. Julie was an excellent host, very responsive to anything we needed. The unit was updated and had a great view. We appreciated the washer/dryer in unit. We loved the option of going to the pool, of which there were 3, or the beach. Unit had chairs and umbrellas or you can rent. We rented just because it was easier with the baby. It felt like a home away from home, Julie was very caring with making sure we had a great stay and recommended a wonderful restaurant that my husband and I loved (Louisiana Lagniappe). We went to the pool the first day with the baby and was very happily surprised that there was food and cocktail service poolside. Food at the cafe on the property was really good. We tried the pizza, club sandwich, and hot dogs. All delicious. Drinks are pricey, $12-$15 but we were drinking some of the specialty drinks and this was to be expected. No tents on the beach unless for babies which worked out fine for us. Water was beautiful. Carts were easy to find when we got there but more scarce the day we checked out. The only downside was that the room is ready at 5pm the day you check in which is kind of late and check out is 10am. However, you can still use the facilities as long as you have a wristband. Security was excellent which is appreciated. 10 out of 10!!

we loved the place so much. it was very clean and julie was amazing. the condo is well furnished and has everything you could need. the view is perfect. the facility its self is also nice, but is still under quite a bit of construction. no fault whatsoever to the host. it was nice having the tiki bar and if you rent chairs you receive beach side service. makes you feel like you are at a resort. my family will definitely be booking again, probably before the end of summer :)

This was a great condo for our first time to Destin. Being right on the beach was amazing and having a few pools to use was great as well. We had a few things going on with the condo but Julie was on it when we contacted her. The area is great and close to everything! If we stay in Destin again I would be booking there again.

My husband and I celebrated 37 years of marriage with this wonderful long weekend getaway! The condo was perfect, the beach was beautiful, and the sunsets were so peaceful!!! We watched the sunset all 4 nights! Lunch/drinks at the Tiki bar was always satisfying! Nice to just walk up from the beach!
Julie was so sweet! We have rented condos on many occasions and never once had the owner/mgr call us and make sure all was well!!! She was wonderful!

Lovely little condo with great beach access. We had our 8 month old daughter and 6 yr old son with us and the quarters we’re a little tight for fitting in the rental crib, other baby gear, and keeping her room quiet during naps but that’s no fault of the owner and unique to our situation. The condo was lovely! The kids loved the bunk beds. Everything was clean, and smelled great. I loved the little toiletries in the bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bench on the balcony had a variety of beach toys for the kids which I thought was a special touch.
