located just outside of town on gorgeous green grass. spacious glamping tents. hosts were fabulous! they let’s us in way earlier than check in! greater us with a welcoming smile! the beds and pillows… ooohhh so comfy!

There is nothing to dislike about this place!

The bed was amazing

The rate of $450 per night was overpriced . The bed was amazing however the experience of the tent during winter was limited....either have a bath or go to bed. The price of the food options that you offer is overpriced. The location is too far out of town . There is nothing to do and no where to go on the property when it gets dark , (5.30pm)so you are in you are in tent .... very disappointed in the experience

The was the most amazing experience! The glamping tent was fanominal! Every comfort of a hotel rolled into a really unique experience. The staff were amazing. The little touches like marshmallows for the camp fire and little chocolate to the bath salts, just perfection!

The accommodation was everything we could’ve hoped for with all the amenities. Nothing to do except relax and enjoy the fire. Remote, yet close enough to town. It was spotless, comfortable beds and nice soaps etc

we enjoyed our breakfasts especially the warm bread. The area was so quiet and the facilities clean and comfortable. It really was a totally different experience for us. The heat coupled with the very strong winds made it not quite as we would have liked but that is no fault of the property. The air conditioner worked very hard and we were grateful for it and the ceiling fan. We would love to go back in winter and be able to sit by the campfire...which we did not dare to light due to the very strong winds. The deluxe tents were super and roomy and the bed was very comfortable.

Our stay would have been perfect apart from something we cannot control and that was the weather. The heat coupled with the very strong winds made it not quite as we would have liked but that is no fault of the property.

Breakfast was delivered fresh every morning and each day we received a different mix of goodies. Always generous, delicious and tasty. The accommodation and fit-out have been carefully thought out. We had everything we needed and more, it was comfortable and spacious. The tents are far enough apart to maintain privacy. Local hotels offer courtesy transport to and from the town in the evenings.

The breakfast basket was well presented, the little extras like the port and chocolates were great.

We loved everything about our stay. The stay was a real treat for us and we were made feel welcome from our time of arrival to departure. The bed would have to be the most comfortable we have ever slept in. A lot of thought has gone into setting up Mitchell Grass Retreat. Very well equipped with everything kitchen related and the delivery of a gourmet breakfast hamper topped it off. An absolute credit to you David and Tanya.

There was nothing we could fault.

Where to start OMG amazing bed so buying one when I get home clean functional big bath to soak in great products for the bathroom great water pressure from rain shower head. Asked for barbecue pack as well meat and salad provided enough for two nights. Breakfast fresh baked goods and home made compote and yogurts. Quiet and peaceful watching eagles soar kangaroos hop by and family of emus this morning. Watched sunset and sunrise from verandah. Personal firepit with marshmallows and chocolates provided. Cant say enough about how wonderful this trip was. Would give it an 11 if could. Best part I was taking with the owner about how my mother was born here and he found wedding notice of my grandparents in local paper. Made my mothers day as she hadn't seen it.

Only thing missing was laundry facilities as we had been travelling for few days and could have done with some washing

The ambience of the interior was good. The breakfasts were tasty and the children enjoyed the marshmellows.

The tent edges flapped very loudly at night. There was too much noise from neighbouring customers.

The rooms were a great size, the bed was super comfortable and hosts have gone above and beyond to make the stay special, ie fire pit and marshmallows, delicious breakfast hamper each day, plunger coffee the list goes on. Would fully recommend a stay at Mitchell Grass Retreat.

Breakfast hampers were delicious, tent was clean and well set out, bed was super comfortable. Staff were super accommodating.

Lovely tents - nicely decorated, comfortable bed, great bathroom. Wood for fire pit with marshmallows to toast. Night fire and the night sky are amazing . Landscaping will be good once it is more established (will increase the feeling of privacy). There is a pool (not heated). Great internet. Has an upmarket feel. Breakfast included in the price. Nice for one night

That we didn’t stay longer

It was very over-priced for what you got and then being asked to pay extra for wood was ridiculous. I would stay there again but definitely not for that price, for half the price definitely.

The concept is good. We have stayed in similar places overseas. The accomodation was very comfortable and clean. We really liked the bed and bathroom products. The communication was very good prior to our arrival. The fire pit was a great touch. Good barbecue.

We felt that the rooms were close together and if the retreat was full it could have been noisy especially with the swimming pool in the centre. Obviously there is no sound insulation in the "tents". I would have enjoyed a more secluded spot. We liked our own fire pit but were disappointed when our neighbours played music around theirs. (This would not bother some people.) Breakfast was enjoyable. We were surprised that it appeared that no attempt was made to remove the finished breakfast items each day. Overall good with some service teething problems.
