The house was very nice, clean, well provisioned, comfortable furniture. Excellent view of tge St.Louis river. Had a nice fire and enjoyed an evening around the wood burner. Stayed a week and used the washer/dryer frequently. Easy access to Duluth and a short trip to the Black Bear Cssino.

Nice location. We enjoyed the deck and view of the water. A bit outdated but clean. Liked the big table for playing games.

Its just a quick jaunt into downtown, if you want, or a nice place to sit and watch the river.

Owner is great and thoughtful! House decor is dated but it’s part of its charm and homeyness. The rooms are great size. It has a great view of the river. Quiet neighborhood and easy access to many of Duluth’s attractions. We will stay here again!!!

We were in Duluth for a wedding and this location was within 15 min of everywhere we needed to go. Very nice view. Loved the fact that we didn't have to do alot of cleanup before we left.

My spouse, parents, and I stayed at Larry's place at the end of October. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and was warm and comfortable! The decor is dated as others have mentioned, but that's not why we stay at vrbo's - we want a place we can sleep at while we explore our destination during the day. My parents are both in a pool (billiards) league so we played pool every night before bed - and we were pleasantly surprised by the table tennis set-up as well, since none of us remembered seeing that in the listing and my dad also plays table tennis! So while we didn't spend a TON of time at Larry's place, we definitely enjoyed our stay and had plenty to do while we were there. Also, I have to mention how much I appreciate that there was NOT a large list of "chores" to do upon check-out. I've stayed at places in the past where I feel like I have to spend the entire morning checking chores off a list in order to check out. Not here! Larry is very accomodating and flexible for his guests. A fantastic choice for us!

We had a good time and enjoyed our stay. It was clean and there was plenty of towels and soaps, etc. Just was not aware of the extra fee for more than 2 guests.

Rained almost the entire week, so unable to take advantage of outdoor deck view. House had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Had everything we needed for a girls weekend great location unfortunately they are dredging and we had diesel engine running 24/7 Would have been nice to know. And beds were to hard for us all. Would consider coming again when river project is done

Nice 3 bedroom house over looking the St. Louis River. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Duluth, yet close enough to drive to all the tourist attractions. Which included Jay Cooke State Park and Canal Park in downtown Duluth.

We’ve stayed here before and will definitely stay again. We love waking up and coffee on the deck. It’s a great place!

We were looking for a property with a water view but also close enough to Spirit Mountain so we were not driving an hour to and from the wedding venue! We lucked out and found this gem. A little outdated, but so homey feeling and fun! Exactly what we needed for a 19m.o. and 6m.o. plus 4 adults! The location to canal park was amazing too! Such an amazing city! Beautiful backyard and deck! Overall we had an amazing time!

Everything was as advertised. Hopefully, we can come back next year when the nearby boat ramp is open.

Very nice neighborhood, large lot, with backyard View of the St Louis River. Nicely furnished home, with all essentials provided. A short drive to all the sight seeing, museums, and great restaurants in Duluth. Larry was readily available to answer questions we had. Definitely would recommend this host, and residence to friends, and family!

This was a great property for our weekend fishing trip. The house was amazing with the pool table and horseshoes, we were kept busy when we were not out and about. Would definitely recommend it.

We loved staying here and would like to return in the summer. It was cozy, fun, accommodating, and adorable! No complaints at all!

We rented this property a year in advance. We arrived in the middle of a snow storm. Larry had the lights on, and the drive way all plowed out for us. Everything was clean and ready to go when we arrived. Larry communicated prior to the arrival for the check in process, and it was easy! We had firewood ready to go for the fire place in the game room. We had a wonderful time, and we hope to return next year.

Place had a lovely view. Was very clean , quiet and spacious. Newer beds would’ve been nice, but still highly recommend.

Great proximity to Spirit mountain Nordic center. Clean, comfortable, good communication with owner, fully stocked kitchen, quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table. Would defiantly stay again!

We were visiting Duluth for a wedding and the house was very comfortable. We enjoyed our down time on the deck overlooking the water. It was equipped with everything we needed.

Property was clean and as advertised. Garage was nice to have. Pool table and ping pong for entertainment down stairs. New furniture in the living room not the furniture in the pictures. Really nice and comfortable. Check in and out was easy. Ice make in freezer was an added plus. Deck with furniture and fire pit ready to be lit was nice also.

For the cost, this is a good amount of space. Access to river a little different than expected. Needed some deeper cleaning, but was mostly cozy and comfortable.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay tremendously. (6 people would be very comfortable here as well). As other reviewers have noted, the house is like staying at grandma’s (very 1970s), however you can’t beat the space: 3 bedrooms, large deck and backyard with a beautiful view of the St. Louis river. We also enjoyed the ping pong and pool tables in the basement. It was very clean, quiet, and Larry was an awesome host. You are about a 15 minute drive to Canal park and maybe 20 minutes to Jay Cooke State park. Close to Spirit Mountain too. Nice place to relax after a busy day of hiking and seeing the sights in Duluth and along the North Shore.
