Harmony Hill was a very nice place to relax, enjoy the Finger Lakes region, and build great memories as a family. The location is very quiet, within ten minutes to downtown Canandaigua, and is a restful place with room to spread out and enjoy time alone or gather as a family. Indoors and outdoors are enjoyable, and the pond had some great fishing! Indoors is decorated very nice with some very attractive woodwork. We had a great time here!
The reason for the 4 star overall rating is as follows. With a few improvements and attention to a few details, this home would be top of the line.
One, the kitchen inventory is a bit spotty. Basics are there (silverware, plates, mugs, etc); however, we found the cookware and storage items lacking in order and inventory.
Secondly, there are no ceiling fans. This is seen in the pictures, and while the AC kept the place cool, we ran the box fans throughout our stay in the bedrooms. Additionally, the comforters on the bed were for winter and were a bit much for summer.
Lastly, and this isn't a big deal, but would be nice to have - no dressers in the bedrooms. You are living out of your suitcase.
None of these items are a reason not to stay at this home. It is a lovely location and very comfortable. Just preference and perhaps a bit of creature comforts.

Wonderful property that is decorated and furnished to fit into the rural and wooded area. The hot tub and spacious deck were fantastic and the trails and paths and large lawn were wonderful for our pup. Thank you for being so welcoming with our girl - she is well behaved and we enjoyed everything and treated it as our own. Thank you for the gracious welcoming gifts and the clean home. Well done!!

I highly recommend harmony hills the property was amazing we loved the hot tub and the fenced in area for dogs was a huge plus. We did have problems with septic / plumbing maintenance came right out but was unfortunately unable to fix the problem so we had to cut our trip short. the owners of the property very kind and did everything they could to resolve the unfortunate circumstances. We are planning a trip to return in the future and thank you for going above and beyond for your guests

We are from the area and enjoyed the get away from home. The property was cleanly, stocked with cooking essentials, dinnerware, and a gas stove. No dishwasher. They have a single point drinking filter for water, no need to bring water. The grill was great and easy to use. Hot tub was nice. Ideal time to stay(to me) would be during peak fall colors, or if you like to ski I’m sure it’s beautiful in the winter. There are walking trails behind the home, a fire pit, and a dock with water entry on the larger pond. The only warnings I would give is that their are a lot of stairs and the side of the jetted tub is high(also the shower), we both wacked our feet getting in and out the first time. Nothing to complain about just warnings for those who need to take those items into consideration for renting.

Family visit
Property and location were perfect. Nice and relaxing and the fishing was really a joy for kids and grandkids along with the walking trails. Jacuzzi was a real plus. Very dog friendly.

Only real issues were the grass was too deep to do anything really until Saturday when a crew came and mowed. And the hot tub needs some care… otherwise we absolutely loved the place

Spring Break
Overall the property was amazing. Only draw backs were the constant traffic and the proximity to the road. The other was the water pressure which was almost nonexistent and made the jet tub not useful and showers not refreshing.
The welcome package and the thoughtfulness of the dogs was great, the trails where easy enough for our yonger children (4&6), and the ponds were fun to fish in. The cozy atmosphere was relaxing and very enjoyable.

Harmony Hill
Beautiful property, beautiful views, lovely home! Close to many attractions in the Finger lakes. Wifi was great also! The only suggestion I have would be to tell folks that you have to carry all your gear up a lot of steps to enter. My husband and I are in our 70's and we had a hard time carting cooler, food supplies, etc. up the stairs. I would recommend this house to anyone!

Beautiful cabin with room to roam
We had a great experience at Harmony Hill. The house was well stocked with all of the cooking utensils and dishes you need, as well as a regular coffee maker and a Keurig. The property is very private with trails to hike and we loved the dog pen area out back for our two dogs. We were only 10 minutes from town and discovered that Instacart would deliver our groceries there so we had groceries delivered shortly after arrival.
The air conditioning wasn't working the first night we were there but they sent someone right out to fix it as soon as we called to notify them. The board games were a nice touch as our kids enjoyed playing them. We will definitely book this property again in the future!

What we needed
Everyone loved the property. We enjoyed breakfast outdoor/indoor. It's a great location, close to Canandaigua, and with so many things to do. This spot was exactly what our family reunion entailed. Also, it was awesome to have a fenced yard for the pups!

Fantastic stay!
Our family of 7, parents, kids, and grandma & grandpa, greatly cherished our time at Harmony Hill.
Old and young alike loved fishing from well stcked ponds. The kids could not believe the size of the sunfish! We hiked a little bit around the property and found well cared for trails. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub too! The fireflies at night put on an amazing show that we enjoyed watching from the many windows!
The home is very clean and provided enough privacy and together space. My only PSA is that the upstairs railing is not safe for small children or pets as it is not up to code. We made the grandparents stay upstairs and did not allow our kids up there. Also, side note, there is not a dishwasher, so you may want to bring paper plates, etc. The home is about a 10 minute drive into town.
Overall we greatly enjoyed our trip & would recommend this property to anyone looking for some R&R.

Excellent property!
This property is beautiful and the house was exceptionally clean. Everything was exactly as shown and stated in the description. We loved all of the windows, especially the giant picture window. The small fenced-in area was perfect for our dog when we couldn’t take him for a walk in the woods or around the grounds. Unfortunately, on one of our days there, three separate landscaping activities took place. Two different people came at different times to mow and a group of landscapers came to put mulch down in the plant beds, including the ones in front of the giant picture window. This activity took the entire day. I contacted the property manager when they arrived but they said that it had to be done that day. We were unable to enjoy the outdoor area that day and we had to constantly coax our dog away from the windows where the workers were. It seems that better planning would involve scheduling all day yard maintenance for when the house isn’t occupied. Other than that day, we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property.

Short but sweet
This property is absolutely amazing! My family and I enjoyed the hot tub, the grill and the beautiful scenery of the pond and mountains! I especially loved the fenced in space which my dog made use of. Everyone had their designated space. We could not ask fora better place to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of NYC living! I only wished we could’ve stayed a bit longer!

Relaxing getaway
The house is beautiful and relaxing with all the amenities one might need for a getaway of any sort. Close to town but private! It’s like staying in a fairy tale cottage! My dog loved it too! Highly recommend!

Cozy and Relaxing
Property was clean and centrally located. Beds were comfortable. Basic kitchen. Great for dogs and children (9-14 years). Nice jacuzzi. Would stay here again.

Items to be aware of:
No dishwasher
Full bath is on first floor, half bath on second floor with master bedroom.
Bath/shower is a high step.
Could use more table surfaces such as coffee tables and puzzle table.
Upstairs has an unguarded area, my dog and children were old enough not to go near it, but if you have young children or an inquisitive pet bring a baby gate to block it off. It's dangerous.
Upstairs can get warm, but there is a loud central fan and box fans available.

Great cabin
We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The property was beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The location was good too. Not far from many of the wineries and places of interest. Would definitely recommend this place for a visit to wine country!

A house we'd want to own
Loved the woodwork in the home and how clean it was. We enjoyed the different types of rooms in the house, and of course the hot tub that was already hot when we arrived. Our family also got out for a hike on the property. Wonderful stay!

A wonderful place!
We really loved our stay here and will be back for sure. The cabin was absolutely wonderful , the fenced in area for the dogs was great to have , the kids loved the hot tub and caught fish in the pond . Our daily walks in the woods we’re enjoyed by all.

Loved this property, It was a family vacation with my adult boys and there wives. we enjoyed a hike, the hot tub and the fire pit. All of our favorite things, and we got to bring our dogs. which was the main reason i chose this place. Plus loved the privacy

Overall great time
The property is beautiful! And about 10mins from everything! Our stove did have issues but we were able to get ahold of the property manager who sent someone out to look at it, wouldnt recommmend coming without bringing a coffee maker if you dont use kcups, it took almost 2 hours to brew coffee in the regular pot provided, and the back door handle kept falling off the door! Once again minor issues! Would love to come back!

The property and home are beautiful!
There were some issues with the cleanliness.
The kitchen sink and bathroom sinks and tub needed to be scrubbed with cleaners. The water in the tub was not going down so we had to remove a very large clump of hair .
I found several bags to dog waste tucked in the flower beds . The previous guest must have left behind.
These were minor annoyances and I mention them because such a quality property should shine .
I would stay there again without hesitation.

Great house in the NY Finger Lakes
The house was exactly as advertised , it was clean and well equipped for our families week stay there. The property has lots to keep kids entertained with the ponds for fishing and the hiking trails behind the house. The house is well located and is only 10 mins from the Lake, wineries and breweries as well as the town for supplies . Highly recommended property for a family getaway
