This was our first year staying in the Jake House but we will be back! The location, size of the house, cleanliness, and views were perfect. The only downside were the stairs to and from the dock but everything else more than made up for that. The boat lift was helpful as the water can, at times be a little rough. The availability of the kayaks and paddle board made down time at the house a lot more bearable for our “kids (all young adults except one). The beds were comfortable and the bath was a wonderful bonus, even though the hot water ran out before the tub was full. We’ve already talked about coming back next year!

Great location. Minutes to public boat ramp if you’re bringing your own boat. Great cove to wakeboard and surf. Comfy house! Great kitchen space.

We had an awesome stay at this property. The landscaping and layout made it feel surprisingly secluded. The view was amazing. Everything in the home was clean and comfortable. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and even sent a text after we checked in to make everything was good. The water in the lake was low due to seasonal water-level management, but there were still a few fishing boats out and we had a great time with kayaks. The 50(!) steps down to the dock were all well-maintained. We also really enjoyed enjoyed the stone patio and fire pit. Jordan-Hare was an easy 35-minute drive away, so this house was perfect for our weekend.

We had an exceptional experience with this rental. The property was as described, very clean, and everything ready for guests upon arrival. The check-in process and instructions were very easy. We experienced very good communication with the owner throughout the entire process; very simply, if you have a question - ask it and you will likely have a response very quickly. All the listed ammenities were available and worked great for us. We spent lots of time on the back deck taking in the great view across the lake. The dock and stairs from the house are in great condition - the owner has clearly done a nice job keeping them in good shape, so no loose boards or hazards for bare feet.
Basically - everything worked great for us and we had a very good experience. We would definitely rent this property again next summer when we return to Lake Martin. Three of our guests also own properties on Lake Martin, and all commented on what a great property this was.

Nice home would prefer a later checkout and bedding for the fold outs. Toaster and kitchen pots and pans could use updating.

This house was perfect for us! We LOVED it! The fire pit was awesome and the porch swing to die for! We didn't want to leave! Lots of steps to get down to the lake so be aware of that if you have anyone that is mobility challenged. Highly recommend this house! And the hosts are VERY responsive & great to work with!

This was our 10th year for our summer trek to Lake Martin. The lake and this property did not disappoint! Very comfortable house with excellent lake views and fantastic water access.
We are looking forward to our next trip already!

Wonderful location!
This house has whatever you may need. We had 8 adults and were very comfortable. The kitchen is stocked and the dining table seats 8. There are barstools also, so plenty of seating. The porch and view I can’t say enough. Loved it!
There are close marinas to rent a boat. This house sits in an inlet are that is low on boat traffic. We swam off the dock a lot. It’s also near goat island and chimney rock. Ver good location. This is our 2nd year in this house and we loved our stay.

Beautiful View Great Location
The house is everything is it represented as, views from the back porch are amazing, house is clean and well stocked with supplies. Great covered boat dock if you have a boat. Enough room for another boat to dock as well. Floating dock and lake toys like kayaks and SUP were a big hit! Communication with owners is very good. Only drawback is lots of stairs for elderly folks, but the stairs and rails are in great shape with resting spots along the way. Overall great place to stay, highly recommended!

Vacation at Lake Martin/VRBO
We had a wonderful time at Lake Martin! Our VRBO was beautiful and very comfortable! It was like our home away from home! We made amazing memories during our stay and are incredibly thankful for the owners of the VRBO for allowing us to stay in their home. We will definitely be back!

Great Location
The house was clean and had everything you could need. We had 13 adults and everyone had a bed to sleep. We were near chimney rock and goat island . Also 2 of the marinas were close. The porch has a wonderful view.

Best Place Yet!
We stay at Lake Martin every year for a summer trip. Our usual VRBO was being renovated and we had to find another location. This home more than exceeded all of our expectations and we will now try and book this location from now on. It has plenty of sleeping space, room for both of our large trailers in the driveway. A lot of safe mooring space for our four SeaDoo’s and 30’ boat. The home is on the back side of a peninsula so there is minimal wake as well. Host was super nice and very accommodating.

Perfect Lake Martin Home
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lake home. The house was clean and comfortable. The exterior of the home is fantastic with multiple outdoor spaces available to enjoy the scenery and the lake. The wharf and boat lift are ideal for the fishermen. The owner was exceptional to deal with, tending to all of our needs, and answering any questions, yet giving us plenty of privacy. I hope we are able to visit again next year.

Spring Break Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The house was very clean, had everything we possibly needed and an incredible view! The owners were accommodating and answered any questions we had. We had a relaxing time with our two teenagers who also agreed the house was amazing. We look forward to another trip in the future, hopefully with warmer weather!

Best Christmas Ever!
We decided to take the family to my hometown in Alexander City for Christmas and couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at this wonderful lake house! The views were amazing from every window! The porch you will never want to leave! Christmas morning felt like we were waking up at our own home. Everything felt so cozy. Opening presents and drinking mornings coffee while looking at the lake was so beautiful on Christmas morning. The owner Chris was so friendly and thoughtful. He made sure we had everything to make our vacation wonderful and pleasant. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back.

Perfect Place for an Extended Weekend
10/10 recommend this place. The owners were helpful with any questions we had. The pictures do not do the view justice. I don’t leave reviews unless they’re positive and I would rate this every day if I could. this place is perfect. We had 15 girls and everyone had nothing but great things to say about the house. Fun, fun weekend!
This house was perfect for 3 couples. We had a great weekend fishing, pontoon riding and playing cards & dominoes. We enjoyed grilling and sitting by the fire pit! Looking forward to coming again!

Great lake house on lake Martin
Awesome house. Amazing location. Had a great time hanging out on the lake. Chimney rock was a very short boat cruise away. Would highly recommend to all of our friends and are already planning a trip to come back.

Great house, amazing views, perfect location
The views from this house are top notch! It had plenty of room, very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Great boat dock and swim platform, loved the paddle board, kayaks and fire pit! Very close to Union boat launch and Chimney Rock. The owners were very helpful and responsive. Made some great memories!

Great place to stay! Plenty of room, beautiful lake views from the wrap around porch, awesome location with short boat ride to chimney rock & goat island. Brought our boat from TN so the boat slip with electric lift came in handy. Property owner was very responsive and helpful with all of our questions. Looking forward to making it back soon!

Quiet spot great for families
We had a family of 6 and my two parents join us for 10 relaxing days on Lake Martin. The location is fantastic. Via boat, we were easily able to reach Chimney Rock, Goat Island, Chuck’s, Church in the Pines, and many more. The view of the lake from the porch is one of the best aspects of this house. It’s elevated and there is plenty to see from that veranda. We caught glimpses of deer, chipmunks, and a variety of birds. The interior is spacious and very comfortable. Plenty of room for sleeping in the three bedrooms. The boat dock is well appointed for a boat and/or swimming. We would like to come back to this house for future vacations at the lake.
