The bed, the facilities, the comfort, help from the owner, the rides down to the supermarket

The only thing I suggested was a door mat for wet or sandy feet. (Maybe the sand could be washed off somewhere but there is not much else to do in a downpour to keep the room free from soggy patches.)

The front deck is literally 30 feet from the ocean! It was great to sit on the covered deck and watch the waves and birds while having a cocktail or beer. The property location on the peninsula is about a 5 minute drive to the airport and about a 10 minute drive to the town center which was perfect IMO. It was also close to Maya Beach Hotel Bistro which has the best food in Palencia and possibly all of Belize. Jean and Steven were great hosts, not intrusive at all, but there to help if needed. The king-size bed was very comfortable and the breeze off the ocean kept things comfortable without the need for AC, but the AC unit is there if you need it. There's also a hammock on the deck which was super nice to relax in. Coco's partners with Captain Jak's at Sirenian Bay Resort which allows access to their pool, bar and restaurant which was very convenient and VERY nice. I can't say enough good things about Coco's Beachfront Cabanas.

If you don't like Coco's Beachfront Cabanas, you probably are an unhappy human being and/or related to Donald Trump.

It was just what I needed

It was a bit difficult to find so a better sign would have help.

From the time you drive in to the villa resort area you are in Wow mode. The villa's are wonderful, and when you walk up and see the ocean, well, its wow mode again. The rooms were spotless, bathroom shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. Kitchenette (in our case) very well equipped with the things you need to cook in occasionally. The deck and chairs and hammock and beach chairs etc all great. We felt safe and secure the entire time, and Placencia village and bars and food are close (10 min drive or so), as is the Maya beach area. The owners are both super nice, willing to help you with whatever you need, and gave some great tips on what to do and where to eat. Go to cockscomb jaguar preserve for sure, Tiger Fern trail was super with a waterfall at the end where you could take a dip if you want to cool off after a nice hike in the jungle. We liked Tipsy Tuna for drinks/food with great ambience and service and prices, but many places were quite good. Coco's is great, don't hesitate to stay.

Coco Beachfront Cabanas is the ideal mix of privacy and proximity to Placencia's buzzing downtown. We greatly enjoyed our stay with Jean. The cabanas are very spacious and have everything you need for your beach vacation. The pool is wonderfully refreshing and the beach is breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of the waves... doesn't get better than that.

The place was more than we expected. We are planning on visiting again and requesting the same cabana.

amazingly clean and comfortable cabana. open windows to hear surf only 30 feet away! hosts were great communicators. quickly addressed minor light issue.

The owners were super nice and gave good information. They were available when we needed them but not smothering. It was amazing being off the ocean. We kayaked in the ocean, took beach walks and enjoyed the cabana. The grounds were very clean and it was a fun hidden gem. We would definitely go back again.

Paddle boards would have been fun.

Very quiet location with security and everything you need for a couple or family. The location is very ideal, close to town but in a secure neighborhood.

The resort was amazing! Can't say enough positive things about it! Jean and Steve were very sweet and did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable from the beginning to the end. The cabanas were well equipped and a great size. The ocean view is breathtaking! Great communication with Jean before I arrived. I'm really glad I picked this place to stay for a week.

Jean and Steve were excellent hosts. Had things exactly as requested. Went the extra mile with additional requests. Nice property and amenities. Quiet and relaxing and pier access and views were amazing. Would definitely recommend.

We LOVE CoCo's - Steve and Jean had renovated the entire property since acquiring it (sadly, right before COVID hit) and the pristine setting, beautiful pool and wonderful owners make this our "WILL STAY AGAIN!" top pick. Great extra for us - the cabana had a full kitchen so we didn't ever have to leave the property; that was a HUGE plus, as we hate having to go out for every meal. Jean will happily take "pre-orders" and fill your frig for you so you literally can just hang on the beach walk out on the pier to the gazebo out on the water, relax at the pool or merely lounge on your private veranda in 110% relaxation mode.
