New Build Luxury Detached Stone House in Idyllic Village

In a word 'fantastic'.
This property is securely located in the heart of a lovely, quaint and very friendly little village. The property (the Barn), is stunning and equipped with its fair share of technological enhancements for your enjoyment.
If these don't impress you, you can always have a game of snooker in the extra large lounge area, or take a very short walk to one of the several pubs or restaurants available to you.
Kathryn and Trevor were very friendly, helpful, and on hand if required. Communication was excellent, fast and efficient, with a welcome pack on site that extended to menus from the local restaurants as well as other local information.
For comfort and enjoyment? Faultless! We loved it!

This property has to be one of, if not the best that we have rented in many years. Everything that you wanted was in this property, comfort and every modern convenience.
We have never stayed or visited this area before and it is not short of local attractions and excellent places to eat and the weather was great! We will certainly try to get here again if the opportunity arises.
Kathryn was the perfect host and helped us in many ways and in a timely fashion.
If you enjoy excellence you will enjoy The Barn.

We stayed at the Barn, Tickhill for a long weekend, primarily to visit our son who lives in the next village. We received a warm and friendly greeting from Kathryn & Trevor the owners who were helpful during our stay. The property did not disappoint, built to a very high specification, with a great deal of thought and attention to detail has gone into this home, modern yet comfy. The snooker table, very large TV and the games available gave us lots of fun and entertainment. The Barn s situated in the heart of this beautiful village with an abundance of eateries and shops right on the doorstep, yet the Barn is so quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Stay
We stayed at the Barn, Tickhill for a long weekend, primarily to visit our son who lives in the next village. We received a warm and friendly greeting from Kathryn & Trevor the owners who were helpful during our stay. The property did not disappoint, built to a very high specification, with a great deal of thought and attention to detail has gone into this home, modern yet comfy. The snooker table, very large TV and the games available gave us lots of fun and entertainment. The Barn s situated in the heart of this beautiful village with an abundance of eateries and shops right on the doorstep, yet the Barn is so quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

The property has a high class finish with everything you could require. It is secure and well situated in the village and only a short drive to Doncaster and Sheffield.

Some great pubs and restaurants within walking distance, Scarborough Arms worth a try on Weds for their pizza van (get there early, they sell out quick) and the Royal Oak one minute away has great home cooked pub food and a lovely ambiance. Accommodation stunning with amazing open plan lounge/kitchen, had loads of fun playing snooker whilst watching the Euros on the 82" Smart TV. Beds super comfy and both en-suites are delightful, so much thought has gone into making this property a dream to stay in. Communication with the owners was superb and they are always on hand if you need anything but not intrusive. We cannot wait to come back to this truly superb property, thanks to Trevor & Kathryn for such a wonderful stay.

Perfect for us as 2 couples meeting for a weekend away
We are friends who live at opposite ends of the UK and were meeting in the middle for a weekend away. This property worked perfectly with its large open plan downstairs area and two lovely bedrooms upstairs with their own en-suite bathrooms, meaning we also had our own space.
The property is modern and has lots of mod-cons but is also comfortable/cosy with 2 large sofas. It is very well equipped with everything you would have in your own home. The snooker table and massive TV with surround sound was great and we were lucky enough to have fabulous weather so made use of the decking area and bbq.
Trevor and Kathryn were great hosts, both prior to our arrival in being quick to respond to any questions and also during our stay.

Stunning accommodation!
Perfect getaway to relieve the stress and to celebrate my partners birthday. The property is stunning & was absolutely perfect for us we had a lovely peaceful pleasant time. We could park our car at the side of the house. Upon arrival we walked inside & thought Wow this is awesome! 👌 We received a lovely welcome from the owners Kathryn & Trevor. We also had a lovely welcome gift which was a very nice surprise we enjoyed it thoroughly thank you so much. There is a toilet downstairs as well as upstairs, two lovely on-suites two lovely bedrooms. Gorgeous kitchen with everything you need. It is set in a lovely village with nice pubs & restaurants. Perfect & would love to come back again. Ohhh the snooker table was awesome really enjoyed beating my partner! 👍🤩😁💯👌❤

Everything was spotless! A beautiful house made for a relaxing stay. There were plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. A lovely village too!

Outstanding all round
The Barn is a wonderful space and its photos don't do it justice. The owners are that delightful combination of not being obstrusive but very helpful and genuinely great hosts.
The high quality of stay was particularly welcome because this was not an ordinary 'midweek break', it was part of the 'business' (necessary evil) of transitioning to a new job and location. The logistics of moving and starting a new role and place of work, well over 200 miles away, is challenging enough before factoring in a pandemic lockdown.
Huge thanks to the Taylors for making it so much more bearable... and some credit is due to the delicious take away food to be found during lockdown at the Taj Cottage restaurant and The Pizza Trail's van at the Scarborough Arm's carpark on a Wednesday evening!

Very modern and extremely clean new property. Lots of mod cons and high quality finish throughout. Owners on hand to help when needed. Good base to explore Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. Lovely shops and cafes locally. Would definitely recommend for adults or family with older children

Spotless place and owners were super friendly and helpful. Not far to The Peaks which was a bonus for great days out.

Break away
I found this house on home and away for a few nights away for me an my boyfriend. The house was amazing especially the 82” TV with surround sound and the snooker table. My boyfriend took full advantage of the table as I can’t play to save my live. There was lots to do around the area since we were staying for 3 nights.
