We loved eveything! Very kind hosts upgraded us to an even bigger room as it was our honeymoon. They gave us lovely tips about Lucca, Pisa, Florence . Wonderful garden, comfortable bed, very good breakfast with everything you can think of! Would go back again without a doubt!

everything was perfect

To say that we liked the property is to say nothing. We LOVED it. Owned by the beautiful family this place is very well run and managed. Everyone in the family is involved in making guests happy and enjoy their stay. It does feel they put their hearts into creating beautiful and cozy atmosphere. The rooms were super clean and beds were comfortable. We regretted we stayed only for one night here. Barbara, the owner, provided lots of info on where to do for sightseeing. Private villa Reale was the best highlight of our trip. Thank you thank you thank you

Our expectations were high based on the reviews we saw before making our reservation but they were blown up in the brief time we spent at Villa La Preziosa. The room had all we needed and the central cooling system created the optimal temperature without the noise that AC units make. The hosts were amazing, making a great time spent there even better. I only wish we'd spend more time here, but we will definitely come back.

We loved the easy intimacy of the Villa. The pool was beautiful, the rooms were cool and clean, the breakfast - delicious. The proprietors were kind, generous with their time and their knowledge. They were utterly charming.

I can’t recommend this property enough! The owners were so kind, welcoming, and accommodating to us. We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed using the bikes they had to explore. It’s about a 10 min bike into the city center. Although it is far from the train station, it was totally worth making the journey for the amazing hospitality and gorgeous property.

We loved everything about Villa La Preziosa. Our experience could not have been better. The beautiful family running the property were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed down to the smallest detail. The rooms were beautiful and perfectly appointed. The food was amazing and the grounds were beautiful. It was a 2 mile walk to the town of Lucca, doable, if you have a car it is better. This was the last stop of our two weeks in Italy and after the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence it was a peaceful end to our amazing trip.

The hosts were lovely and they take pride in their villa- the put a lot of work into transforming it and it is indeed special. They were always available and invested in their guests. I loved my room, so spacious and comfortable (the bed and bedding too!) Breakfast in the garden was my favorite.

it’s located far from most attractions. you do need a car

The villa has been beautifully restored by its current owners. Bedrooms and gardens are stunning with a lot of attention to detail. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and the owners put candles on all the tables and brought us local wine and nibbles! The delicious breakfast was a buffet of cold meats, cheeses, pastries and fruit with a choice of cooked eggs. Recommend hiring bikes from owners at £18 per day and exploring along the river and stately home lived in by Napoleon’s sister. We also took a train to Pisa for a day (7 euros) and that was extremely easy.

Ideally you need a car as we spent a fair bit on taxis to and from Lucca (£15 each way). We hired bikes from the property at £18 per day. It was perfect for a few days’ stay.

The breakfast was amazing. The hosts went out of their way to make sure you had a great time. The villa is remote and quiet. The room itself was extremely comfortable and everything around the villa feels new and premium. Great pool area, easy parking on the premises.

3 nights was too short of a stay

We enjoyed everything about Villa La Preziosa! A wonderful boutique hotel just outside of Lucca. Beautiful grounds, very comfortable rooms. Excellent eye to detail in every aspect of the hotel and grounds. The grounds are a labour of love! Very attentive staff made us feel very at home! Highly recommended!!

One of our best stays ever. Very pleasant owners who do everything they can to provide the best customer experience. The villa itself has been beautifully renovated, everything is new and very clean. Car can be safely parked behind the gate. Keep up the good work!

The property is beautiful and quaint. It’s very well taken care of, the rooms are stunning, and it’s very quiet. Excellent ambience, they had bikes for us to ride through the city for the day, and made reservations and a tasting for us at a local winery.

Villa excellent, service excellent, breakfast excellent. The owners Gunther and Barbara were welcoming and attentive to our needs at all times.

More storage space for clothing etc. would have been helpful.

Everything was perfect in order.

I particularly enjoyed hiring bikes and riding around Lucca's City walls.

Unfortunately there are very few taxis in the whole of Lucca and when you do not have a car, as with us, it is an issue. While the hosts did everything they could to arrange taxis into town (which was very much appreciated) getting a return taxi after 9pm is almost impossible. This meant on two occasions we had no choice but to do the 40 minute walk back, once in torrential rain.

Barbara and her family is fantastic! So fun and serviceminded. They really go lengths to make youre stay fabulous. The Villa and the room smelled so nice and where beatiful decorated. The garden and the pool was stunning. We will come back again.

The perfect place for a getaway! Excellent service and good people. The beds were comfortable and spacious rooms. The garden and swimming pool were the icing on the cake.

very charming B&B conveniently located at 8-10 mins by car from the center of Lucca. The place is wonderfully maintained with a very nice garden, spacious and clean rooms which were always maintained at the right temperature despite the 30+ degrees outside. But above all it was the warm welcome received from the landlords that made our stay even more lovely. Highly recommended if you plan to stay in Lucca !
