The location is not too far from centre in a more quiet area, even a little bit hidden. They have a beautiful garden, where it is nice to rest from the busy town. The suites are spacious with balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Again and again there was some technical noise at night, I suppose it is a water pressure pump. Breakfast quite simple, and the breakfast room is dark and ugly (but you can take your food into the garden).

Big room, big bathroom. Staff was friendly. Hotel restaurant was decent for breakfast & dinner. Overal very decent value for money. We had a very nice view of mount meru.

Bathroom had a bit of a weird smell at times. Shower was just a showerhead above a bathtub which didn't work that great. Laundry was expensive.

The staff was incredibly friendly. The food was great. It was very comfortable with a very nice garden where we can have meals and relax. Perfect for a one-night stay before heading to a safari.

I had a reservation in this hotel, but when I came they didn't have available room for me! They offered me to stay in another hotel (Lush garden hotel) for the same price, but it was terrible stay. Moreover, I met another people who had absolutely the same experience with this hotel on same dates!

we stayed there twice - pre and post safari. on the first night we got a good room with balcony, good bathroom and very clean. on the second time for whatever reason we were downgraded to a room that had an ant invasion, no cover on the toilet and no curtain on the shower…

the grounds were beautiful and the staff bends over backward to ensure your happiness.

not near any good restaurants, but a taxi or Tok tok is easily arranged. it’s ok for a stop before the safari- especially for the price.

- Breakfast is decent with some choices of crepes, porridge and vegetables - Hotel accepted to keep part of our luggages for free while we were climbing Mount Kilimanjaro

- We stayed 2 nights one week apart, first in a triple room and then in 2 double rooms. Hotel must have been nice 15-20 years ago but has not been maintained at all and is now at a state where it becomes UNSANITARY for guests with risks of electrocution, insects infection, mold in the walls, etc - In all rooms, the bathroom is full of mold and has a strong smell of chemicals that doesn’t go away. On top of that towels and sheets are left with big stains and cigarettes holes - One of our rooms was infected by thousands of ants going out of the wall (see pictures). The personnel tried to help by moving the bed but we needed to sleep with ants going over our bed and suitcases - Outside of breakfast, restaurant is to be avoided as the crew is extremely disorganized. We had dinner twice there and waited 90 minutes for very simple single dishes with only 1 or 2 tables and still with wrong dishes being served. Taste is ok. - Even though advertised on their reception, they don’t take credit cards. You can only pay cash - Rooms were not ready upon our arrival - one time at 11pm, and once at 4:30pm we had to wait 15 minutes for the rooms to be ready.

I like their garden. Their breakfast buffet is the best

They are providing used cloth slippers. Better to provide rubber slippers so we can wash it. Their lavatory inside the bathroom was clogged esp room 105. Better stay away from that room

We didn't had proper cleaning. The badroom need to be renovated. The housekeeper do their best to clean it, but because its old and need to be renovated it kinda still looks dirty. Breakfast was OK, depending on the days. At checking is wasn't possible to pay by card, because of the issue with their machine. They wanted me to pay with cash... i refused because the cash I had on me was for my activities and I wasn't planning on taking cash from the ATM. So I told them to fix they issue with the machine because on booking.com they mentioned accepting credit card... I had a feeling that their machine really didn't had a problem...they just wanted to evoid bank commission which they added to the totaal cost. Not very professional of them. Try to pay in advance or at check in to evoid this kind of situation.

the receptionist was fantastic, Mwaji was so attentive and polite.

The first room was very dark and felt moist. Then we switched to another room, which we actually booked via Booking. The first room was only the night we arrived since our actual booked room was already occupied but eventually we could move the next day.
