I loved staying in the Flamingo’s nest. It was a very short walk to the beach (across the street and down a short side street) It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The decor was absolutely adorable and added to the beach experience. Heather and Rod are the ultimate hosts! They’re friendly, accommodating and really care about providing a great experience for all of their guests. Communication was top-notch; I would rent one of their units again and would recommend to anyone staying in Manasota Key.

We had an amazing time in the Flamingo Cottage at the Beach Shack. Communication was easy. The cottage was extremely well equipped and super clean. We enjoyed exploring the nearby beaches and of course hunting for shark teeth. We could not have asked for an easier or more enjoyable time! We hope to return soon!

We absolutely loved our time at the beach shack. The outside shower was a hit for my 4 and 2 year old and also made it so convenient to get them cleaned off from the beach before going inside. The reviews I read before booking kept mentioning the hosts thought of everything and it’s true. It was perfect for our weekend getaway.

This was a perfect place for our family. It was an easy walk to the beach (everything you need included, umbrellas, chairs, toys, boogie boards, etc. ). We have 2 small children (6 and 3) and we were able to kayak and relax at the beach as a family. We will stay here again. They really think of everything.

Heather & Rod are amazing hosts. The house is clean, totally updated and equipped with tons of goodies. Just a few steps to the beach and very peaceful.

My family and I loved staying at the Beach Shack 2 vacation rentals. It was clean, well decorated and had everything and more than what we needed. The communication with the property owner was great & they were so nice. We will be booking again.

We really enjoyed our stay! VERY close walk to the beach and restaurants/bars. Nice sunny patio at the back. The owners were very quick to respond to questions and requests.

The property had everything you needed to have a relaxing break. Location was great, it was a 3 block walk to many local eateries. The beach was very nice and close to the unit. The owners also offered many toys for your beach and surf entertainment.

I just want to say a big Thank You to Heather and Rod. It was a Beautiful place just like pictures . I traveled to have a Happy Birthday for my Mom and sister at property my Mom 87 yrs young. Thank you Heather and Rod for opening your beach house to me on Manasota key. Celebrated my Moms 87 Birthday. Heather was so kind I had stepped on something and stung my foot and she brought me a bottle of apple cider vinegar right away. This property was amazing bed comfortable and very clean and they thought of everything including snacks and drinks with a bottle of wine. Beautiful and the chimes out my door to hear was lovely. I want one like that very relaxing. Thank you again Heather and Rod

We loved this house so much. It was so cute and very clean. We stayed for 3 nights with our two young children and felt right at home. Every kitchen, home or beach item we needed for our stay was already there for our use. The host was amazing and quick to respond to any questions we had about the area. Great little back patio and the private outdoor shower was amazing after a day at the beach. Location was great and a short easy walk to the beach. Would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay from entering and having refreshments to leaving. Every thing was so cute and clean! Beds were comfortable. Heather even made it a point to stop and introduce herself to us. The kids loved the bikes and we love that we had everything there provided to us. We would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flamingo's Nest! The unit was spotless, adorable, and in a great location! So many amenities were provided to help make our stay perfect, despite tropical storm Elsa passing through! We really enjoyed exploring the island on the bicycles. We hope to return in the near future!

This place was perfect for my 2 teenagers and myself. It had everything needed for the beach. Short walk to beach and outdoor shower was a treat! Heather and Rod were wonderful!

This was a great place to stay for a quick weekend getaway. The interior is totally updated and it's super cute. The outdoor shower is so much fun. Love all the beach amenities including beach bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrella, kayaks, sand buckets for the kids.... The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need. Fully stocked and there were even a few cans of soda, bottles of water and chips in a welcome basket. The only thing missing in the kitchen is a dishwasher, but for the size of the place I understand why there is not one. It's about a block from the beach so transporting the kayaks was a bit frustrating but it is doable. It's also a very short walk to a bunch of local restaurants, the public beach and park. The only thing that I would recommend is to have better blankets. There was no blanket for the pull out sofabed. Just a sheet a sheet. Oh and internet is very shotty. Overall it was awesome and I would definitely consider staying there again.

Heather is extremely accommodating. No details were spared with this rental, kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. Loved the outdoor shower and back patio area. Less than a two minute walk to the beach and five minutes to restaurants. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We had the greatest time! So many “extras” were provided to make it feel like home. Short walk to the beach that was never crowded. Restaurants within walking distance. Place was very clean. We loved the laundry units. Bed was awesome- firm yet comfortable! Will stay again!

We were THOROUGHLY impressed by this cute little 1br home so close to it ALL!!! We rode bikes and went to search for shark teeth at Stomp Park and it was awesome! You can walk or ride bikes to the local restaurants. It was truly awesome! We can't wait to return. Thanks Heather!!

This place was exactly what we were hoping for. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The location is so close to the beach and all the local restaurants. Heather was so sweet and accommodating. We will certainly be returning.

Flamingo's Nest exceeded our expectations. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and comfortable! Housekeeping was superb upon arrival, and the starter/welcome basket/supplies were much appreciated. Attention to detail is obvious throughout the house, and the outdoor areas very well kept. House is conveniently located to the beach (beach chairs, umbrella, and cart provided) as well as a short walk to dining, shopping, and nightlife. The owners were enjoyable to work with and gave great local recommendations. Truly one of the best cottages we've booked. Definitely visiting one of their properties next year!

The Flamingos Nest was just perfect ! Beautiful little place, clean , comfortable (the King size bed was VERY comfortable) and all amenities you could possibly need. Conveniently located and short walk over to the beach . The owners were so nice and very accommodating. I will definitely be back!!
