For the previous 8 years, we have stayed in a home rental located in North Cape May a few blocks from the bay. Last fall, we bought a boat and wanted to take full advantage of it during our vacation this summer so we switched it up. It was so AWESOME to be able to board our boat at any time and either go for a cruise or hang out at the dock. A bonus was how many people swam, kayaked, etc. right in the harbor - we had no idea! Our sons were more active than they have ever been during our summer vacations taking full advantage of this great location and opportunities for playing outdoors. The home is smaller than we would usually rent but it fit my husband, my two teenage sons and I really well. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our 3rd year in a row renting the condo on the bay. The owners are awesome! The condo is always in pristine condition when we arrive and the owners are quick to reply if you need anything. We will be back next summer!

We had the best time at this property. It is the perfect beach spot for a single family; walkable to everything and the best outdoor space with bay access. We hope to stay again in the future!

I stayed here with my husband and three young adult kids for a full week. The bay view is even better than the photos show. It was so enjoyable to sit on the balcony and watch the sun set. And the location is ideal; we could walk to any restaurant in town in under five minutes. The condo is also only a couple doors down from Island Water Rental, where we rented kayaks and paddle boards and docked back at our place when not in use. We usually rent a place to stay closer to the beach, but all five of us agree that having waterfront access to the bay opened up a whole new dimension of activities. Kayaking in the wetlands was a highlight for all of us. And the beach was still only a few blocks away. We would definitely return here. At first, I thought the condo might be too cramped for five adult-sized bodies, but because we rarely spent time inside, it ended up being fine. Everything was in very good repair; AC was in top form, there is a full-sized W/D in the unit, the dock and ladder are new, and the kitchen is good-sized as well. Check in was seamless. Furnishings are basic but thoughtful. We could have used a dresser or set of shelves in the bunk room, some additional power cords in the bedrooms, and maybe a few 3M hooks in the shower, but these are all minor. The latter two were quickly solved with a run to Hoy's. On the whole, the major factors--location, view, two bathrooms, three bedrooms, W/D and useable kitchen-- were perfect for our stay.

Great place to stay in downtown area of Stone Harbor. Park your car and walk to everything that you need. The included boat dock and deck overlooking the bay are a great place to start and end your day. We had coffee on the deck and fished from the dock. It’s a short walk to everything downtown and the beach. We found wonderful food options including formal fine dining, pub and bar options and carry out comfort food. Many downtown shops had end of season sidewalk sales and we found several breweries a short drive away. Overall an awesome couples week at the beach.

Had a great time and the place was in a excellent location. Very well maintained and my dog went crazy with all of the great views from the balcony. We all had a great time.

If you’re looking for the best location in Stone Harbor, this is the place you are looking for. You get the best of both worlds- 2 blocks to the beach and the bay in your backyard (not to mention all the shops and restaurants within a 2 minute walk). With a 2 year old, we loved having the option to do the beach in the morning and then hang on the dock and in the bay in the afternoons instead of lugging our gear back to the beach. We had a few issues on check in (such as keypad entry wouldn’t lock) that John was quick to respond to and resolve. We have never had such a responsive VRBO host- throughout our entire stay (2 weeks) he was a available via text or phone for any questions or concerns we had. He also provided us with some beach chairs and a beach cart that came in handy. While there are many “fancier” rentals on the island to rent, ultimately we would choose to stay in John’s property over and over again due to the perfect location and how responsive he was as a host.

We had probably the best vacation ever. This home on the bay - the views, the swimming off the dock and into the bay, was unreal. the location is everything. You would walk right out of the house and right on the busy street of stone harbor, shopping, coffee, ice cream, resteraunts, the spa - I mean everything is right there. It’s very quiet and to yourself but you’re also right in the heart of stone harbor. We will sure miss the deck view over the water with morning coffee and late night cocktails and dinners down on at the table leveled with the water. The neighbors were so nice. The only negative (which barley is a negative) was the small, compact living area. There are three bedrooms and they’re just on the small side so not a lot of room to lay suitcases and such with the bed in the room, but we made it work and moved some little furniture pieces to lay the suitcases - we def made it work but that would be the only negative and low ceilings. and maybe it would be nice to have a little tiny tv in the bedrooms for at night. But they are the only negatives and they’re minut. The owner john was very nice and friendly and quick to respond to anything we needed . You’re close in walking distance to rent jet skis, paddle boards and kayaks! Truly the best vacation ever and we’re so sad to leave. Thank you for hosting us john and for forever family memories.

Property is centrally located to town with a great view of Shelter Haven bay. Residence comfortably fits 4 adults and 2 children. Host is welcoming and provides excellent communication.

We loved being right on the bay. We had the option to be on the beach or in the bay all day and night. Being in the inlet was perfect!!

We love this condo! This is our 2nd summer renting here and we were lucky enough to stay for 2 weeks this year. The owner, John, is amazing! He truly goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is wonderful! The place is very clean and the location is perfect! My kids love fishing off the dock & swimming in the bay, and we enjoyed family meals in the backyard. Everything Stone Harbor has to offer is within walking distance. We’ll be back next year!

The bay front location was perfect for 3 teens, they preferred it to the beach even! The location right in town near everything is so convenient & makes for a very relaxing trip - you really don’t need a car. The beach is a very short walk. We spent way more time on foot, bike and paddle board than in the car! Would say it’s not a gigantic space so 4-6 people is ideal …Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely amazing time in Stone Harbor this rental was in the perfect location for everything you could need walking distance to everything ,restaurants ,shopping ,bars, the beach! We loved the bay, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming. Everything in our rental was exactly as described and our host was fabulous ! If you stay there definitely check out the two restaurants directly across the street the Panini‘s were outstanding and dinner at Spiaggetta was fabulous ! Sad to leave, can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful week! We brought our boat down. The boat slip was easy to get in and out of and it was in a great location. The place is small but exactly what we needed. John was such a great host and always helpful. We would definitely stay there again!

Very comfortable and clean condo with a great view of Shelter Haven! Terrific location in the heart of downtown Stone Harbor; walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. John was terrific and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely return - Val T.

It was an overall great trip. It’s on a busy street so with a dog you have to be careful walking them across streets. The grass was a bit of a walk so have to take dog for a bit of a hike. There were small bugs biting on the back deck when the wind was a certain direction. The beds had a plastic mattress pad which made it nosy to move and hot sometimes. It’s a small place but efficient. The view is great but is a long walk to beach when you are carrying beach supplies and children. The kitchen had very few cooking things such as no cookie sheets . Tall people hit there head in slanted kitchen ceiling. The margarita machine was awesome. No ice machine. It’s walking distance to awesome restaurants and ice cream and coffee shops. A lot of great places and beautiful area. I love Stone harbor. Easier with just adults and few people!

Location is perfect. Its clean and some furniture and kitchen gadgets were recently upgraded. We hope to return again.

Spent a week with my wife and kids coming down to Stone Harbor throughout the week. What a terrific vacation spot. Can't get a better location in the heart of town yet so peaceful with stunning views and sunsets on the bay. Ownership went above and frankly beyond to make our stay perfect. Your own dock to swim, kayak and hang out. Beach a short 2.5 blocks away and we rented bikes from across the street to pedal there in minutes. Place is clean, cozy and we hated to leave. HIGHLY recommend.

This cute apartment is, in some respects, deceiving. You wouldn’t think that a walk-up second floor apartment would have much space, but the owner has done a great job updating the apartment. The apartment comfortably sleeps eight, although in our case we had two adults and five children ages 12-17. There are two very nice bathrooms (one for the master bedroom and one for the other two bedrooms), and both bathrooms are well-lit. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need for cooking your own meals…but then again guests have access to several very nice restaurants within easy walking distance - including an outstanding Italian restaurant right across the street. The location is absolutely phenomenal, putting guests in the heart of downtown Stone Harbor directly adjacent to the back bay. However, the apartment is quiet and the hustle of 3rd Avenue is barely noticeable. A short walk gets you to the beach, and the adjacent dock (accessible by guests) as well as the deck off the back of the apartment give you ready access to the back bay and beautiful sunsets across the harbor and estuary. We will definitely hope to return (except we will probably leave the kids home haha!)

We enjoyed this centrally located apartment and had everything that we needed for our stay at the beach. We were 2 1/2 blocks from the beach, on the bay, and within very short walking distance of downtown shops, restaurants, and eateries. We started our days with fresh goodies from the Stone Harbor bakery and morning coffee on the 2nd floor rear deck over looking the water. We finished out our days watching the sunset and evening lights from the same deck. Watching the boats cruise by was enchanting. We had everything that we needed including a modern granite countertop kitchen to prepare meals when we didn’t go out for dinner. We had a wonderful stay and will be returning again. This is a great place to reconnect with friends, relax, and enjoy life.

The location of this property checked all the boxes - Bayfront & downtown, within walking distance to anything we needed. John's customer service was exceptional and his communications were timely. The unit had all the accommodations necessary for an enjoyable vacation. We cannot wait to go back!

This property was exactly what we were looking for in Stone Harbor. Eight of us stayed there and though the inside is a little tight for that many, the outdoor spaces more than made up for it. We loved being just a few blocks to the beach, the downtown shops/restaurants, and up against the bay for swimming and hanging out in the evenings.

The location of this property was great! It's so close to town and the parking spot was a bonus. John was available and very responsive when needed. Can't beat the view for sunsets!

John’s place was amazing! The deck, outside grill and dock made it picture perfect for every dinner, morning coffee, and afternoon swim. It’s a perfect location to everywhere you could want to go. My family and I will be back!

On the bay with direct water access. Walking distance to great restaurants, shops, yoga, nail salon, water sports, spa and beaches. Beautiful sunsets from the deck and dock. We were a mixed party of ages, genders and interests and something for everyone. Apartment is clean and has everything you need, and owner is responsive if needed You won’t be disappointed!
