Amazing property!! It's a beautiful home with the best feel. The backyard was a little overgrown by the pool, which created a bit of a mosquito problem. Overall a wonderful day and would absolutely stay again!

Great stay in a historical home with current day upgrades. Grounds were immaculate, the cleanliness was superb and the bedrooms were as promised. From ages 10-69, we enjoyed our 3 night stay. When questions came up, the management answered promptly.

We had a group of 8 adults and 5 kids and fit comfortably in this house. It is a really cool setup, with large beds and plenty of space for everyone. The pool was an added bonus, but it made our stay awesome. The kitchen was fully loaded with everything we needed.

This place is in a perfect location. Close enough to walk to most things. Beds were comfortable. Frig would not make ice or water. Anything in the back of the frig froze. House needs more coffee cups and silverware for large parties. Chairs in the dining room were very uncomfortable. Armoire in one room wouldn't stay shut which was dangerous at night. Kitchen counter top has a large crack. Backyard has a lot of protentional but over grown & full of weeds. Place could do with a little upgrade but again the location was excellent.

Wonderful large historic home with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms plus a beautiful pool and fire pit area. We had a group of 8 family members - 3 couples and two adult children. The bedrooms are large. Two have bathrooms adjoining. The upstairs bedroom has four twin beds.
The house is well organized but needs a little TLC. For instance, light switches are labeled but quite a few of the lights don’t work. One of the bathrooms had no towels and we had trouble finding some. One of the toilets needs some attention.
The pool was beautiful but needed cleaning. It was a bit too cool for us to use.but was very nice to sit out by the pool in some sunshine. We enjoyed a nice fire on a clear star filled night. (Need a much more sturdy fire poker).
Great place for extended family to stay - great to be together and still have privacy.

The house was clean, very spacious, and supplied with the necessities for cooking! The kids enjoyed their space upstairs. We were originally told the pool was heated when we asked, but when we got there, we found it was not. The property manager made it right when we contacted her about it, and she was very prompt in replying to messages. It was a nice getaway with family! We enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again!

It was a beautiful, clean home with plenty of bedrooms & baths for the 6 of us. The pool area was lovely, just needed Adirondack chairs cleaned & all the inflatables picked up & stored. We loved our stay here!

My family’s stay was the end of July early August. House was fantastic, pool not so much. When we arrived the pool was green. Contacted Vacation Rental who had pool people out the next morning. Unfortunately after heavily shocking the pool and multiple visits we couldn’t use the pool during our stay. Six very disappointed grandkids. Vacation Rental was kind enough to refund half our rental for our inconvenience. I would recommend the property just make sure the pool is useable.

We enjoyed this beautiful home located just a couple miles from downtown. The only drawback was the yard was not maintained and the pool was very dirty. We specifically booked for the pool so that was a slight drawback to the overall stay.

The house has a great location near downtown. It accommodated my parents, in-laws and adult kids comfortably (9 people). We really enjoyed the pool. House was not clean/ready on arrival but this was rapidly fixed after talking to management.

The house is beautiful, the beds are heavenly and there is so much room to spread out. We had a wonderful stay, Loved the master bath tub and spent most evenings relaxing by and in the pool. We didn't want to leave! :)

Overall my experience was positive. The house itself was beautiful, clean, and clearly well maintained. However, the primary reason for selecting the house was the pool - which was green for the entire stay...needless to say that was tremendously disappointing. I did call customer service and they sent someone out but the pool was still just as green by the time we left and no compensation was offered for the inability to use the pool (again, the whole point of booking the property).

Pool was unusable but house was nice
We rented this house six months in advance for a three generation girl's trip. The house was very spacious, well equipped, and a short walk to downtown. The pool clearly had not been cared for properly, as it was so green with algae bloom you could not even see the steps. Clearing a pool in this state takes at least three days, by which time we were gone. We were very disappointed not to be able to use it, as the temperatures were in the high 90s. In addition, there is an ant problem in the backyard. VRC was easy to contact and did give me a partial refund to compensate for the pool use loss.

Fantastic home!
Gorgeous home in a great location! Very quiet and plenty of room for everyone. The swimming pool was a plus after a day of shopping or hiking. Would definitely rent again.

Not really walking distance to downtown in the summer months in the Texas heat.
Pool could have been cleaner.
5th bedroom was upstairs with no bathroom. It was a room with 4 twin beds and a window unit. Didn’t really understand this before booking.

Squirrel get away
Great home but improvements need to be made. Microwave did not work but the host brought us a "usable" one for the week. Host knew microwave was a problem before our arrival. The bedroom in the front room is hot they do provide a portable fan but it's not enough. The pool area is amazing to watch beautiful birds and squirrels. The pool area needs an "ant" removal party. The kitchen and supplies were amazing!

Perfect for Family Reunion
This lovely house was perfect for our family reunion. We loved that it was walkable to town, in a quiet location, multiple king beds, and a great backyard where we could reconnect. We will be back!!

I was fortunate to be able to take my three daughters and four grandaughters with me to Fredricksburg for my 75th birthday. The house was perfect! Really comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, all of the amenities and lots of room. We will come back when the weather is warmer to get in the beautiful pool!

Holiday shopping trip
The house was fantastic for our needs. We where able to walk just about everywhere. We made breakfast and dinner in the kitchen and had everything we needed. The beds where super comfortable. I would book again.

There were four of us staying the weekend and the house was just perfect! Plenty of room for each is us and very well stocked. Close to Main Street yet on a quiet street. Highly recommend!

Perfect property for a big group!
We visited this property for a girls weekend in Fredericksburg and it was perfect for our group! Plenty of room for everyone. The property was clean and the management was so nice and very accommodating. We had a couple of small issues and they were so fast to respond and have someone come out. Overall it was a great experience. We will be back!!
