there’s really nice staff and it’s a bargain as soon as you get off the train you just have to walk down some steps and your there

just little things like the windows not closing without having to slam them a couple marks in the walls still a work in progress some of the rooms were getting refurbished during my stay but by the looks of it they will be good when they are done

Mmm because its undergoing refitting and repairs and decorating it was just our room window wouldn't close because it was broken and a block in place preventing closure. Thus meant the bus station below kept us awake ⏰️ till midnight with the engines running and buses coming to and from till midnight. Then from 04.45am bloody tired I was . Not the hotels fault but I'd say complete 1 room at a time then move to another to fix.

The hotel is under renovation, hopefully this will soon be completed the carpets in the room were well passed their sell by date.

Very central location. No frills check in.

By the bus station but that was fully expected and is tolerable if you are used to city noise.

My room was nice and spacious, pleased with that,be better when they have kitchen facilities.

Out of the 3 members off staff that we had dealings with two off them where extremely helpful however the woman on the front desk at night was not polite or helpful as she ended up arguing with other guests over a mistake made by the hotel and I found it very distressing.

Everything. From the moment we arrived to be told they didn't have our booking and no room for us. Our booking was made back in March for August as we had a wedding to attend. The staff ended up putting us in a room that was being refurbished so was not fit for purpose. The room was unfinished, the TV would not plug in, no remote, no kettle. No wardrobe. I was told that there was ironing facilities however this was not the case. The staff on that day did Everything he could to help. I ended up with a dirty kettle that was taken out of the staffs kitchen and when he finally found me an iron I had to iron our wedding clothes on the floor. The window was very old and I didn't dare open it incase it broke, so the room was hot and stuffy. There was no bedside lighting which ment that there was only the main light. This hotel is out dated and badly run by management leaving it badly organised for the staff who where not that old and inexperienced to deal with matters that arouse. I most certainly won't be returning. Was a waste of money

this is a hostel masquerading as a hotel. it is dirty, dangerous and unfinished. the room we were given had a bed, 2 bedside drawers and a bathroom. the tv wasn’t working, no wardrobe, kettle, no lamp, we we’re actually given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival because there was no key for our room, we were told that we could lock it from the inside when we were in there but if we left we’d have to ask reception. we decided that for one night we’d be able to make do. we left the property to attend a wedding, we asked reception to please lock our door and also requested that they put two extra pillows in please for when we returned. we came back at 11pm, a different girl was on reception. we asked if she knew if any pillows had been out in th room, she said she didn’t know but that if we went up she’d bring some, we said yes please do but could you also open the door as we have no key. she went through to the bar and was gone around 15 minutes by which point another couple arrived wanting to know where their missing bag was. we waited a bit longer before my partner opened the ‘staff only door to reception, admittedly he possibly should’ve waited longer but at this point we were extremely tired and just wanted to go to bed. the girl came flying out and pointed at the staff only sign before threatening to call the police. I told her we wanted to go ti bed, she told me stop being so entitled and that she had other things to do. it would’ve been laughable if it wasn’t almost midnight by this point. both my partner and I became annoyed, she then involved a manager who didn’t help to resolve anything. I asked her again to open our door, she stormed up the stairs with a key and shouted at us because it was already unlocked. the same door we had no key to and that reception said they’d lock so our things would be safe. the girl from reception couldn’t understand why we were now really annoyed.
