My family and I (5 adults 2 children and a dog) are just back from staying in this property. The property is a large villa and has many bedrooms and bathrooms situated over 3 floors that will accommodate all types of visitors. All the rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean on arrival and had fresh towels and linen in all. The ground floor has a large double bedroom with adjacent bathroom and shower, the first floor has 2 large master bedrooms with en suite and there is another 2 bedrooms one with 2 singles and another with a double. On the top floor there is a double bedroom down one side and another bedroom with 2 doubles down the other. In between these is another bathroom with a shower. All the rooms were spacious and had plenty of wardrobe space. The house obviously used to be multiple occupancy so there are large fire doors separting the different levels and the bedrooms on the same floor. These can be noisy at night when opening and closing if someone’s in bed while others are moving about the house but they are not a drawback by any means. Downstairs there is a cloakroom with a small tv room adjacent with lovely views of the meadow. Next door to this there is a large kitchen area with almost every utensil you could need for a short break as well as a large dining area. During our stay we had a plumbing issue which the host dealt with quickly and professionally and she was a pleasure to communicate with. I’d recommend this villa to any family looking for a staycation

The property was ideal for a large family geting together. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. My only concern was problems with getting hot water in one shower and the almost lack of water in a basin in a bedroom. More cutlery and larger cooking pots would have been helpful for such a large group. But none of that spoiled our stsy. Gillian was very helpful whenever I contacted her.

All round brilliant stay. Location & owner & property was all fantastic! We plan to return again some day!

We had a lovely stay at Taynuilt. Our family ranged from 4y to 64 years and we all loved our time here. Plenty of rooms to spread out, comfy, cosy beds, welcome pack, well equipped kitchen, good outdoor space for kids and dogs to run about. Always plenty of hot water for showers and baths. A great time was had by all. Thank you x

The property was big and very clean, it was well equipped and the hot tub is a plus. Overall our stay for the weekend was really good and the location of the house is amazing.

Wonderful house and location. Had a great stay with family. Couple of downsides, hot tub was nice however this time of year could perhaps benefit from some sort of shelter, such as gazebo, not so enjoyable in the pouring rain, and nowhere dry to keep towels, so had to leave all inside. One bedroom heater didn’t work, underfloor heating not noticeable despite turning this up. But overall great stay. 😀

Had a great stay with friends, accommodation was exactly what we needed as a group of 10 adults and 2 dogs. Just a short walk to the train station made it very convenient. Property manager was great, very helpful. Would recommend and would stay again

Here for 3 nights and didn’t want to leave! 10 of us from aged 13 to 87, everyone had a room that suited. Everything we needed in house, got a Tesco delivery so didn’t have to worry about food. Gillian the owner so helpful. Would absolutely recommend, beautiful house with fab views. Loved it!!!

Spacious bedrooms, comfy double beds. 9 ladies there for the weekend. We dined out in Connel (Oyster Inn) and Oban (Cuan Mor - both excellent and lovely scones and soup at Robin's nest in Taynuilt) so we didn't do cooking but it had what we needed for breakfast. Lots of storage space in bedrooms though a mirror a chair and some decor would have been nice. Fab view from my room! Layout plan photo of first floor was incorrect. it looked as if there were 3 ensuite rooms when only 2 and a separate bathroom. (bathroom door marked in wrong place). Bathrooms generally could do with a bit of an upgrade. eg missing plug, dripping taps. Garden furniture was 2 picnic tables. ( and 2 benches round the corner). Owner replied quickly to our queries. We had a lovely time.

House has mostly all you need for a big group of people. The host was very helpful throughout and the check in process was simple. Setting is lovely also.

Very roomy house with a lovely garden and view and ample parking. We had a lovely stay. Some parts of the house could do with a bit of maintenance and updating but this did not affect the stay. Would love to come back.

Nice place for a family holiday. The kids enjoyed playing in the garden and in the TV room. Reasonable close to Oban for the tourist experience. We especially liked Taynault for Robins Nest cafe and the chance to attend a local ceilidh

We had the best time staying at the house for my mum’s birthday! We loved the hot tub and the grounds and the house was 10/10 !!

All guests and dogs were very impressed with the house and we had a brilliant time, even the sun came out for us. The hot tub was enjoyed by us all and I would definitely recommend any large family get together booking this property. The one thing we would suggest is some USB ports for charging phones etc

Great size for large group. Good area for exploring. Gillian was very helpful before we arrived and very quick to respond with some minor matters while we were there.

This was a fantastic rental. Gillian was a very responsive host was was easy to reach when we needed to. The property was better than advertised. It worked out very well with our highland sightseeing. The village center was just a quick walk away and the tearoom, grocery, and free book closet were well used by our group. Absolutely enjoyed our stay and would book again if we vacation here again

Property generally as described. Perhaps slightly tired in places (internal paintwork), but met our needs as intended

The layout of the house was perfect for the size of our party (7 adults and 5 children); however the yale locks, numbers and the heavy automatic closures (a few small hands trapped) on the doors and the Fire Exit lights did make the appearance less homely. No television connection. The garden was great and well off the road, but marred by a couple of dilapidated garden sheds and glass and other debris around the perimeter. Safety devices to prevent the windows opening wide would have been appreciated since there were small children who thought nothing of climbing onto the wide window sills to look at the sky. Lots to do; a visit to Kerrera, Airds Bay, Taynuilt Pier, Angus's Garden and Inverawe. Excellent and very friendly local village shop and butcher.

we stayed here to celebrate my mums 50th birthday, 14 woman. House is absolutely beautiful the village is gorgeous and peaceful. Would 100% recommend for anyone doesn’t need to be a group of adult it’s acceptable for all age groups. The hot tube was cleaned daily and the wee welcome basket was appreciated.

Overall good. Owner(?) quick to respond to any minor issues. Unfortunately heating did not work in downstairs bedroom and toilet. There was an electric heater, but when underfloor heating doesn’t work that means the floor is very cold. There were 12 of us comfortably accommodated but apart from the dining table, there was nowhere we could all sit together, which was a shame. Bins were packed full when we arrived and only the general waste was emptied the afternoon before we left. Hot tub was only at 24deg when we arrived. Not comfortably hot till the next day. Apart from these minor inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay.

The house was very comfortable and big enough for 16 of us. The only downside I would say is on the day of check-in we tried to reach the host as we were having trouble locating the house & lockbox. The host didn't pick up and never returned my call.

A lovely house with a great conservatory for entertaining. With a straight road just a 15 minute drive from Oban, the location is great for exploring too. Clean, very well equipped and plenty space to ensure the kids got an early night without being disturbed by noisy adults on NYE. Fantastic communication with Gillian and very much recommend!

Wonderful property, perfect for a family weekend away celebrating my mums 60th. Plenty of space and bedrooms. Great communication with Gillian and so helpful as vrbo app not working for check in. Issue with the tv not working and dealt with promptly - even on a Saturday! Only criticism was one bed was uncomfortable but we had a spare room to change to! Great trip and would love to return ❤️

Myself and a group of my friends booked this for a surprise birthday for one of our friends and we had the best weekend. Amazing space for all couples/guests. Big hot tub which managed to fit a good view of us. Will most definitely recommend to others and will definitely return

Overall it was a great place, not too near main road. Rooms very spacious. and had plenty of storage for clothes. Ample supplies in the kitchen even cheese knives and a toastie machine. Cleaning products provided. Two large american style fridge freezers was a bonus for our large family of 14.. Separate sitting area and a seating area in the large kitchen with a couple of sofas.. Plenty of parking and although it was near other houses it was far enough away with the hot tub at back of building which made it quite private. Nice views of the hills. Towels provided for hot tub and tub ckecked daily. Not too far from Connel and Oban.. Shops within the village including grocers, post office, butcher and tea room. Nice walking area.. We visited Bonawe Furnace and the two small piers nearby. Only downside was doors in communal toilet areas didn't alway lock . A chair and mirror in the rooms would be appreciated.. Lack of hooks for hanging towels in somer rooms and pillow protectors on beds would be good. Contact made with Gillian who returned calls quickly. These were only minor things and we all had a great time and would definately recommend it to others and would return.
