Cozy place that was well equipped and comfortable. Ten minute drive to Ellsworth. Our first visit to Maine and we fell in love. Folks here are super friendly:). Thank you!

We had a fabulous day at Huckleberry Ledge. While some things may be a little dated, the location and ambience more than made up for it. I loved walking down to the water every day and sitting in the sunroom. I do wish the main bedroom skylight had a way to block out the light like the rest of the black out blinds in that room. Would love to come back!

We had a great time. Everything was perfect about the house and the hosts were very helpful during the tropical storm. We had a fantastic time in Maine.

The location was an easy walk to the sea and right in Surry. It had good internet and a beautiful sun porch as well.

We had a great stay at the house. It’s clean, easy to get in and out, and has everything we needed. Check in and check out processes were easy and straightforward. We drove to Acadia four times during our six-night stay. It took about 45-50 minutes one way each time. We also enjoyed visiting the nearby town Ellsworth where we had nice dinners, did grocery and gift shopping, etc.

My family of four, two boys ages 8 and 10 had a wonderful stay. We easily traveled to and from Acadia, enjoyed tracking the low and high tide at the beautiful cove, and were able to easily get to Bangor for an afternoon when it was raining. The property was ideal. I loved relaxing with my morning coffee in the all seasons room and having easy access to grocery stories in Ellsworth allowed us to stay in for many of our meals.

Property was very nice. My only concern was the different levels of flooring on the first floor and the bathroom. Not as easy to move around for an older couple. Very nicely furnished and a good location.

Beautiful, comfortable and well kept property. Privacy is excellent. The glass room is the pearl of the cottage, but the rest is great, too. A lot of wood trimmed walls and details. The smell of wood is lovely inside. The cottage is surrounded by trees. The cove beach is two minutes away by walking through the wooded area, and is quite wide and beautiful when the tide is low. It's a great spot to see a sunset over quiet water. We are so happy with our stay. Thank you!

The view through the pines to Contention Cove is beautiful. I could Live in this adorable house as well. It was clean with all the desired amenities. The walk down the path through the pines to The beach is exceptional and the beach reward is grand. I will be back.

Great place loved the location

We stayed here for four nights in August. It was by far the best vacation home we have ever rented in terms of having everything a family would logically need. My boys really enjoyed there being toys and games available.

Location was perfect, close to family in Orland and Bucksport and convenient for day trips to Acadia and Downeast destinations. Comfortable space for the few days our grands (2 under 2) joined us. Thoughtfully provisioned, the garage game room was a bonus. Enjoyed time on the beach and ice cream at Pugnuts. Highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay in Surry. This house was just what we needed between stuffy hotel stays in Portland and York. Good kitchen, outdoor grill, plenty of room to spread out, comfy beds, and ping pong in the garage w family. Just great!

Loved the setup and convenience of this property. Was a little warm without AC but still enjoyable. Short drive to Acadia and the surrounding towns are close and have everything you might need. Would def recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely cottage and hope we can come back! It is very conveniently located for trips to Blue Hill, Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Schoodic Peninsula, and Acadia. Sunsets on the rocky beach were beautiful!

My family and I loved every minute of our stay.

The house was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay here. There are a variety of board games, cards, darts, ping pong, etc. Management was great. There was an issue with the internet and they responded within minutes and not only worked on the issue until resolved, but kept us up to date on the status. It was also nice to be able to walk down to the water.

We loved this place and hope to return. It is set in the woods with a view of the bay through tall trees. Walk across the road, down the path and collect heart shaped stones and sea glass at low tide. It is delightful in every respect.

We have been spending a week in Maine every summer for many years, on MDI and the Schoodic PI. This year, we found this sweet house on Blue Hill PI, and the whole family agreed it was a winner, one of our favorite places to stay in Maine. The home is nestled in the woods but has an open and airy feel with lots of windows, sky lights and a lovely sun room. The space was perfect for our family of four. Our teens enjoyed their own space upstairs, ping pong and darts in the garage, and the various games for use. One of the best parts is the private beach access - shared with friendly neighbors and a short walk through the woods - swimming out to the dock, reading on the beach, searching for shells, sea glass, special stones and other treasures. Close to Ellsworth for shopping, about a half hour drive to MDI and so much to explore on Blue Hill PI itself. We had a fantastic week and would love to come back some day.

This property was exactly what we were looking for while checking Acadia National Park off of our bucket list. The house was in great condition, in a perfect location and exactly what our family needed. Hoping to get back again sometime soon.

If looking for peace and quiet and getting away from the city, this is the perfect place to vacation. Everything one needs is within a short driving distance.
