This was a wonderful property. Perfect location, walking distance to two different beaches. Nice outdoor areas for dining and relaxing, and many amenities.

Beautiful house in a stellar location. We absolutely loved the greenway path directly behind the house for sunrise walks every morning. The house had so much space for our family to spread out and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals at home. A huge bonus was having the grill outside, and all of the beach gear! The cart and chairs/ umbrellas made our beach days so amazing. Laurie and Scott were very responsive hosts, as was the local property manager when we ran into an issue. We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved every minute of our vacation! This house was phenomenal. Excellent location, clean, kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. Make sure you get directions using address. I used the directions link on VRBO and it took us to the neighbors house :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Scott and Laurie’s place. The house was very clean and spacious for our group of 5. We especially enjoyed the back patio surrounded by tropical plants and birds as we enjoyed our morning coffee. We also loved the nice walks from the house to the area’s beaches, walking/hiking trails, and restaurants. We will be back!

We couldn’t have been more happy with the house and property, they kindly stocked the garage with all needed beach day fun! The house is gorgeous, spacious, clean and was perfect for our trip!

We were blessed to spend a week in Scott & Laurie's beautiful home. The indoor space was wonderfully functional & fantastic, only matched by the beauty of the outdoor areas and ability to walk to several local beaches. This was a wonderful vacation rental and a perfect spot as our families home base on Kauai.

I had an amazing time with my family and my husband at this property. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and we loved that there was a place to eat outside in addition to the indoor dining room. Having both Poipu Beach and the Grand Hyatt with Shipwreck Beach in easy walking distance was fantastic. More than once we would go watch the sunrise in the morning. I also loved the bath in the master bathroom - super spacious and the design was really unique. We also loved having the boogie boards and chairs in the garage that we could carry easily to Poipu Beach or put in the car and take wherever. I hadn't ridden a boogie board in a while and had so much fun.

Beautiful roomy home. The beds are comfortable. Amenities are plentiful. Just a short walk to the beaches and the pool. It has an oversized washer and dryer. My family would come again to this home.

This is the perfect place to stay in Poipu with young children. There was everything we needed, from crib and high chair to beach toys, and we used the provided wagon daily to go to and from the beach. The location on the greenway was ideal, and having all the rooms on the same level eliminated fear of stair accidents by our newly walking 1 year old. Fenced in yard also a plus for similar reasons. We loved everything about the place and would love to come back again someday.

This was the second time my family has stayed at this lovely property. Cannot say enough of how delightful it is… From the location, ( ease of walking to beaches) cleanliness and organization of spaces and lots of beach paraphernalia! We look forward to coming back

Thank you so much for a memorable vacation! This home was perfect for our Birthday Weekend celebration. We traveled with lifelong friends who stayed across the greenbelt. Our party consisted of folks ages 15-50+. The beach gear in the garage was a highlight and made our stay all the more wonderful. The greenbelt was so lovely and a convenient walk to the beaches. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Take heed regarding the driveway and parking. We recommend wholeheartedly and hope to visit again!

Traveled with immediate family (my wife and 3 younger kids) plus my in-laws (in their 70s) over the week of Thanksgiving. Location of the house was amazing and it is so comfy. We had plenty room for 7 of us. We walked to Shipwreck beach to watch sunrise every AM- literally a 5 min, easy walk on the greenbelt. Also walked to Poipu beach daily as well. Quiet, relaxing and PERFECT location..... really just amazing!

It was wonderful! Definitely one of the best houses we have had traveling. We enjoyed our visit very much. Highly recommended this beautiful house. Memories of a lifetime!

What a fun house! We stayed with a bunch of our family and it was perfect. Beds are super comfy, enough room for everyone and fully stocked. We all loved the backyard and patio! So peaceful and quiet. Easy walk to beaches. Although I will say both beaches were not what we needed for a 3 year old and a special needs teen, but we made due. There’s a spot close at shipwreck beach where some neighbors made a spot for kiddos cleaning out the rocks and piling up so the waves wouldn’t hit them. Our kiddo loved it! We couldn’t get the bbq to work great, only 1 side would turn on. So we just figured out other stuff to cook.

The location was great! We were able to enjoy Poipu beach and Shipwreck beach. Makahuena light is another must go place. There were playpen, high chair, and life jacket for my 8 month old daughter! It was nice that we didn't need to bring so much for her.

We stayed at Laurie and Scott's house during the first part of our trip to Kauai. Personally, I enjoyed staying at Laurie and Scott's house much more than I did at a luxury hotel during the second part of our trip. The house location is so quiet and still so close to all our favorite places! The property is quite spacious, comfortable and super clean. We loved the beautiful patio leading to the greenbelt behind the house. It gave us plenty of opportunities to walk to Poipu beach with easy access to several other amenities like the pool and restaurants. The house is in a resort area surrounded by lovely tropical gardens. I believe that after staying at Laurie and Scott's beautiful home, I would never want to go back to stay at a hotel in Kauai again! Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay in this perfect location. You can walk to 2 beaches, a hiking trial and restaurants from the house. The house has a great layout for a family with young adult children and is well stocked. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to stay again in the future!

This was our first time to Kauai and we made the right choice staying in Poipu. This house was in a great location to two beaches, restaurants and shopping. It was perfect for our family of 5. Could not have been any nicer! All you need is clothes and food….house literally has everything else you’re gonna need, and some. Location is great and the house was plenty spacious for 4 adults and 2 kids. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Mele Hale was perfect for our needs and made our stay in Poipu so memorable! The home is located close to several beaches including a beautiful snorkeling beach (we saw tons of fish!) as well as a perfect beach for boogie boarding and jumping the waves. My 9 and 12 year old LOVED this beach! Puka Dog is located right on the beach and we enjoyed the best hot dogs picnic style while looking at the beautiful surf. Laurie has stocked the home with all of the essential beach needs from cozy beach towels to boogies boards, beach chairs and umbrellas and even a surf board. She is also a wonderful host! The home was spacious for my family of 4 + my parents who joined us on this trip. I would highly recommend Mele Hale to anyone who is looking for the perfect Hawaii vacation. Mahalo Laurie!!!❤️

Our stay at the Mele Hale was fantastic and completely met our family’s needs. The owners, Laurie and Scott, were great! They were very responsive to all of our questions throughout our booking process and our stay. The binder of information provided about the house and Kauai was invaluable. The design of this home provided ample space for our family of 6. The bedrooms are spacious and quiet and were separated from the large open concept main living area. The kitchen was well equipped, including a kid friendly cupboard of plastic tableware. A second fridge in the garage, full size washer and dryer, tons of beach chairs, beach toys and a wagon, were added bonuses. The back yard with a bbq and dining table was completely fenced off which gave the children freedom to play safely and the adults peace of mind. The house is in walking distance to Brennecke’s Beach, Poipu Beach Park and Shipwreck Beach and a short drive to shopping. The Mele Hale was the perfect accommodation for us and we highly recommend it.
