Excellent location, clean spacious apartments

Breakfast was good. Location great. Very close to ski lifts, next to a ski hire shop. Also close to ski bus stop, bars, restaurants and shops. Local market on a couple of times. Staff friendly, professional and helpful. Room cleaned daily, beds made and towels changed as necessary.

Separate toilet would benefit from small hand wash basin in it. No tea/coffee making facilities or fridge in the room.

The staff are wonderful. The breakfast was varied. the views are perfect.

My room was advertised as sleeping 4 adults, with 3 rooms. As a father, taking an 18 year old daughter on holiday, I was hoping that we had separate rooms, for privacy. She would not like to see me getting changed, and she was very uncomfortable with me being in the same room, as she got changed. When I saw the accommodation had 3 rooms, unlike the 2 room alternatives, imagine my confusion when the bathroom and the w/c were two separate rooms and the sleeping area only one. Bathrooms and w/c areas in my experience are most often in the same room, hence my presumption that the 3 room option lead me to think I would have two sleep areas. This was not the case

We had one basic double and a triple room. Triple was good but basic double was very cramped and window (no nets) very overlooked by the living rooms and balconies of apartments across the narrow street. Impossible to change without closing the curtains and one of these was falling off its rail.

The mattresses were comfortable. The location was perfect as we were right next to the main square of tignes and close to the slopes. We were given 25% off our ski rental at Vallon Blanc, located next door to the hotel which was great. One of the receptionists was really sweet and empathised with us.

On our first night we had no sleep as drunken men were banging on our door all night trying to enter our room and pacing outside our door, whispering to us. We felt completely unsafe as there is no staff on site over night and we were only told about the emergency contact number after the situation happened. Our towels and bedsheets had blood stains, makeup stains etc and when we told the receptionist about that we were told that the items were “clean” but not “deep cleaned”. When we asked for new towels we were given ones that smelt damp. We also told the receptionist about the foul smell from the toilet the day that we arrived and we were told to run the water or flush the toilet to get rid of the smell - we repeatedly did that and the smell never left throughout our whole stay. We gagged every time we entered our room. We visited other 3 star hotels in the area that were beautiful and hygienic, unlike this one. For the amount that we payed, this hotel was completely unacceptable. There was no effort put into making our stay comfortable.

Everything was really good

The current owners of this hotel took over in December 2022 and some of the reviews are of the previous owners. We were blown away by the friendliness of the staff, the location of the hotel (less than 2 mins walk to two main lifts in Tignes Le Lac!) and the food, which surpassed our expectations for the cost of our stay (tartiflette, steak, fondue, beef bourguignon were all highlights). The breakfast buffet is tasty too. The sauna and steam room are great after a hard day’s skiing although there were no robes or slippers provided (this may change though as staff are aware). Definitely try one of the hotel’s sister restaurants for an extra €10pp - we enjoyed an excellent raclette meal at La Chaumiere.

Robes and slippers would have made the trip to the spa less awkward, and a kettle in the room would go far!

Breakfast was excellent to fuel up before a day on the slopes. Location of the hotel is brilliant for getting on the slopes super quick. Staff are all lovely.

Dinner was hit and miss- the buffet starter is great but the main could be better quality and offer more options as we ate out a few times since the 2 dishes offered weren’t suitable for my son.

Good range of choice, hot and cold

Great location, close to the slopes. The staff were all excellent. particularly Juliette who was amazing when helping us with our booking and Clara and other staff who stayed late for our arrival (delayed due to traffic) and prepared us dinner long after the kitchen had closed. Nice spa facilities. Good selection of food at breakfast. Fantastic view from the restaurant and our room, overlooking the Lake.
