We had a wonderful stay at Beach Place! Pros: Steps from the beach, gorgeous ocean views from the balcony, quick walk to John's Pass for touristy things and restaurants; the condo was spacious compared to other beachfront places we've stayed at- plenty of room our 2 adults and 3 teenagers. We were a bit worried about cleanliness based on past reviews, but found it to be clean. We were also pleasantly surprised by the stash of beach supplies for use- plenty of sand toys, a cooler, plus a few chairs and boogie boards that our kids enjoyed. I would say that compared with other rentals we've stayed at, this place is somewhat low frills in terms of supplies, cleaning supplies, etc- which we knew from previous reviews- but I can say that with our party of five, we did not run out of anything during our stay, and having access to laundry allowed us to wash towels as needed. The building is a little tired- the elevator is quite slow, etc- but we took the steps often and got a few unplanned workouts in that way. All in all we had a very fun beach stay and loved being so close to everything!

Location was fantastic. The condo was nice. We did have to call maintenance to help with turning tv’s on , leaking faucet, light bulbs and initially were given wrong door code. Floors needed mopped , The fan in bedroom was broken. Regardless of the problems we had a great time and loved the location and view.

Great location. Other than no dishsoap or dishwasher pods, the place was great!

Do not expect anything. There were some bottled waters in the fridge and plenty of TP. We bought beach towels and left them with the unit - not sure if they will be available for others. There was 1/2 roll of paper towels and the soaps were slivers. Inadequate # of coffee cups and the furniture was pretty tired. However, the view was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. Unlike other reviewers we found the unit clean.

Great Location and Condo!

No complaints other than could’ve been cleaned up a little more. Floors hadn’t been swept or mopped, etc.

This was our first trip to Madeira beach and we absolutely loved it! The condo was beautiful and very spacious! The beds were super comfy as well! It has a lot of beach stuff like chairs, a cooler, toys etc. the kitchen was very spacious and the refrigerator was nice! We only had a few things we would like to be added…we found a broom but no dust pan so that was difficult to sweep the sand so I would recommend a dust pan and maybe even a vacuum cleaner! Also the pots and pans are kinda old and need updated. There weren’t enough towels for 8 ppl so luckily I brought some. Also there isn’t a lot of silverware so glad I brought some plastic as well! But I’m telling the views from this condo are amazing! Also we loved how you have to have a code to get into the place and the elevators, pool and beach! It is directly across from John’s pass and wow that made everything convenient! We literally walked to eat and shop, fish and walked across the bridge to treasure island! We loved how we have a designated spot to park and didn’t have to worry if we would find a parking spot! This is the perfect condo due to location as well! We loved how you can pick a spot on the beach and no one tells you to move! The people there are so very nice as well and and locals will tell you all about the area! We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone! Thank you and we plan to come again!

The best thing about this condo is the proximity to beach and the boardwalk across the street. We were pretty disappointed in the condition of the condo. First of all, it wasn’t very clean when we checked in, there were food crumbs from previous guests in the couch cushions, a thin coat of sand already on the floor, dining room chair upholstery filthy… to name a few. The other things people mentioned in reviews are accurate, very little in the way of cleaning supplies so plan more like you’re staying in a hotel than a “home away from home.” The middle bathroom was in rough shape- towel drying rack coming out of wall, drying hook broken off back of door, gross shower curtains (both bathrooms). However, my biggest concern and feedback is the poor communication with the host. I messaged about the towel rod coming out of the wall because we didn’t want to be blamed and got no response. Then on our second to last day, our electricity went out and I messaged him with no response at all. Luckily my husband was able to figure it out himself after waiting for a couple hours with no word. We will definitely be staying somewhere else for our visits to this area in the future. Sad to say, worst VRBO visit we’ve had and we travel quite a bit.

Location is perfect! Johns pass is right across the street so no need to drive once you arrive. Condo was clean and updated! Would hughly recommend and we cant wait to go back again!

First off I can say that the location is great. Right across the street from the John’s Pass boardwalk and shops. Beautiful gulf view. Unit as described with plenty of room for a family of five. Now the could’ve been better. The unit wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. Sand everywhere and would accumulate on your bare feet. And this was the first day within 10 minutes upon checking in. This would’ve been expected a day or two into our stay but not immediately. Sheets hadn’t been washed or changed. There was sand on every bed where someone’s feet would’ve been. And found body hair on the bed in the front bedroom. Cleaning fees are assessed but a real cleaning wasn’t done. More like the unit was tidied up. A couple complaints. One garbage bag is provided for a family of five for four nights. One? And it wasn’t a large garbage bag. Barely a medium sized bag. Seems like for the cost to rent, one bag per day isn’t too much to ask. Remote controls did not work the TVs in the bedrooms, only the cable box. Forcing you to get up and manually turn the TV on and off and adjust volume. Come on! Batteries were missing from a bedroom remote. We called the number provided for assistance. The guy who answered informed me, while chuckling about it, that because it was a holiday that nobody would bring us any batteries. I’m not really sure what was the point of providing a number for assistance if nobody is going to provide said assistance. Stay was good but could’ve been Better.

Location was wonderful right on the beach and across from dining/shopping fun. Condo is very spacious with comfy beds and furnishings. It was very crowded on the weekend as it is right next to public beach access but overall we had an awesome time.

I'm really torn on this review - because ultimately the location/view and the unit itself is amazing but the expectations of what I have experienced over the years at VRBO was simply not met at this unit. I will absolutely hope to stay again, but with the knowledge that this isn't the VRBO experience I have known, but the everything else about the condo outweighs the negatives. The great: the location is awesome, walkable to multiple restaurants, John's pass and beach front with a nice pool. Parking is really easy as well. The condo is updated and on the top floor. The furnishings are nice and set up with the knowledge that sand gets everywhere. It is quiet, the furnishings don't squeak and we didn't hear any noise from other condos. The bad: What I'm presuming is a management company provides the cheapest VRBO experience I have had to date. The condo is non-refundable, so you book your vacation and you are stuck. I get that, but then about a week or 2 before the stay we got an email noting that only several starter pack amenities are provided. For a condo that sleeps theoretically up to 8 we got 2 rolls of TP, a sponge, and a few soaps. No salt/pepper/basic spices, 3 cleaning tablets and no spare trash bags. There would be a $75 charge for every extra bag of trash left as well. There was no broom in the property, and ultimately we were crunching through the sand that inevitably gets everywhere on a beach trip. We called and asked for a broom, but none ever came. Part of VRBO is having some basic amenities, I get not supplying for overuse but we essentially had to buy a roll of trash bags and 90% of them were left behind. Similarly, we bought TP and left most behind even buying the smallest pack. We had to supply all the spices, cooking spray etc. Part of the "by owner" of VRBO is that you shouldn't have to furnish normal stuff. This seems like some frustrating investment property that is trying to squeeze the most money out of it. That said, having expectations for this particular property - I would stay again because the view, location and physical structure are awesome.

Loved the property location - on the water & could walk to dining & shopping. We meet numerous retired couples from IL, WI come every winter to this The Beach Place Condos. The parking passes were easily remedied, but determining which unit we were in took some ferreting out as we did not know where the office was located. The spectrum box for the main TV was broken & after no response from the office (after hours), we just swapped out with one of the bedrooms. Also no instructions on how to use the remotes made it challenging since they all required rebooting because they had been previously unplugged. It was Super Bowl weekend, after all. Over all, I would stay again, whether this unit or another.

We were never given parking passes even though we were told they were needed. There were only 2 half rolls of bathroom tissue for up to 8 guests. One of the cable boxes did not work. One light did not work in the master bedroom. We were told maintenance would come check it out but never did. Maintenance did walk us through turning on the heater as it was locked when we first got in. For people flying in it would have been nice to have a few conveniences, such as coffee filters and extra trash bags on site so we didn't have to buy them. Just going by other rentals we have stayed at, this place was very under stocked.

We loved every minute of our 5-day stay. The unit was beautiful, A+! Dolphins right outside the property, great shopping and restaurants, I could sit and look at that view forever. Parking and elevator easily accessible. Pool was maintained daily and everything was clean. Will return!

You can't find a better location in Madeira Beach! You can literally walk to restaurants and shops. You can also watch sailboats and fishing boats come and go all day under the draw bridge. Absolutely wonderful location! Regarding the condo itself, it is beautifully decorated and pretty very well equipped for your stay. The floor was kinda sandy when we got there but having tile floors, it can be hard to get clean so not a huge deal. It would be nice to have a dust pan or maybe a good vacuum cleaner? Overall the showers were great and we had everything that we needed. The clothes dryer did not dry very well with full loads but there is a dryer right outside by the elevator for towels, etc. All the appliances seemed new and the kitchen had all the basics you would need. (someone has been taking their spoons though) Finally with regards to the owner, we received our check in instructions right before 4 (don't freak out waiting) which makes sense with check in at 4. Our code was incorrect at first. They answered on the first ring and we were in the condo in less than a minute so communication was great for us. I would definitely stay here again if we come back to Madeira. Even with the red tide we had a great vacation!

Not very good communication. We were to have 2 parking passes only one in the condo, called and they were supposed to bring a second one but ok one ever did. Could never access the internet called and they were to call me back and no one ever did. The condo was not as clean as I expected. Sand was in the beds. Had to treasure the sheets on 2 of the 3 bedrooms. No mop to clean the floors, and the broom just did not really help. We love staying at Beach Place! Condo 510 is updated and very pretty but the cleaning folks need to up their game and when you call for assistance the folks answering the phone need to follow thru. Thanks for allowing us to stay in spite of those small concerns. We would love to stay here again next year!!!
