The Little House on the Beach was very convenient and offered easy access to the beautiful beach and places of interest nearby. The house itself was very roomy, but could definitely use some updates...furniture, paint, etc. Had some problems with the walk in shower downstairs draining. Overall we had a great trip.

Location and access to beach/local restaurants was great. The house was very roomy and we had plenty of room to spread out. Our only complaint was the bedding and pillows were not super comfortable.

We had a great time and stay at Little House on the Beach! Overall our stay was comfortable very relaxing. Beautiful views of the ocean and right on beach! No real issues with our stay. Check in and check out was easy. There were stains on the furniture, but hey its a beach house. Also, we had some tub draining issues in the upstairs master bath, so owners may want to address that. We would definitely stay here again again!!!

The place was exactly as you explained. We were disappointed with only 1 bathroom on the bottom level. All of the drains in the showers and sinks need to be cleaned out because they hold water and do not drain. The sliding door on the main level is terrible. It needs to either be replaced or fixed so it slides. The ice maker does not work properly, there were many times we had to purchase ice when we should Have been able to use that. The upstairs queen bedroom bathroom door does not latch. The bunk bed room was very hot. You also need new frying pans because everything sticks. Besides of all of those minor issues we had a wonderful time there. The views were amazing and the beach was perfect!!

Only issue I had is the Vrbo listing says it’s a 5 bathroom in the header, 4 1/2 bathroom in two other places in the listing and only says it’s a 3 1/2 bath in the body description so it’s confusing. It ended up being a 3 1/2 bathroom but we made it work. Other than that we had a wonderful stay.

This house was perfect for our family! Plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen, and right in the beach! The only problem that we had was some issues with housekeeping. When we arrived, there was still food in the pantry from the previous guests and the trash cans outside the unit were overflowing with their garbage. Trash ran the morning that we got there - but the cans were never put out to be picked up. There was a wet mop left in the living room, the couch was dirty (but very comfortable!), and a cleaning rag left on the windowsill at foot of stairs on second level. Found out why this was there when it started raining - that window leaks terribly - even getting the floor in that area wet. Definitely needs some attention. The approach to the house from the beach was unappealing, as there were kid toys scattered all over the place. A lot of miscellaneous trash too. Overlooking all of this, we had a wonderful time!

We checked in late Wednesday evening, this was a vacation request by my mom for the family as she is stage 4 pancreatic cancer and hospice has been called in, so we all came together to make this as special for her as we could, but by Thursday afternoon we were having plumbing issues so bad , feces was backing up into the bath tubs, I called and text several times in the afternoon with no response, finally we got desperate bc no one was responding to us and we couldn't use toilets or water or anything. After speaking with Lisa she called and said she put an emergency call into Roto-Rooter, by 9pm still no response back, I called again, I said is that the only company you have there must be tons of plumbing companies to call, so they called one more... she called me before she left that evening at 10 and told me no one had returned any calls and assured us they would be there first thing in the morning. I explained in detail to Lisa about my mom and this was unacceptable, her cure was to move my mom and dad to another place for the evening, but i'm sorry for someone who has cancer and is weak as it is, moving her in the middle of the night and separating her from family when this is what she wanted was not an option. The next morning I was up early...by 8am still no response from anyone in regards to the situation, I then started reaching out to Real Joy after trying for about 30 minutes , a lady by the name of Michelle told me everyone knew the issue and they were all working on it, and waiting on confirmation from roto rooter as to when they would be there. ...what happened to first thing in the morning- well it was almost 11 am before they showed, completley putting our day off to a rough start bc no one could shower or do anything, then had to wait for the cleaning crew t o come clean the bathrooms from the back up. The neighbor told us this has been an ongoing issue. While I appreciate the gift card and flowers send for my mom, it doesn't take away the time of our vacation ruined bc of an inconvience that could of been avoided. Then Saturday evening before we left we noticed some of the tubs upstairs starting to back up, beyond ridicoulous if your aware that there is a major plumbing problem take steps to get it resolved. Also we notcied several roaches in the home as well, and had to be cautious about this, as that was disgusting. he unfortunate part is the home is beautiful, perfectly sitauted on the beach and close to many things

We had a lovely time in this beautiful house right on the beach! It was centrally located to everything we needed and walking distance to several places we enjoyed. We did not encounter any problems while we were there and had good communication with the Property Management before hand so we knew what was provided and what was not and check in was a breeze! The only suggestion would be that they provide beach towels as they are bulky to pack and the house is on the beach. Otherwise it was perfect! We would definitely stay here again!

This home was perfect for our cousins reunion. We loved the fact that we were able to hear the ocean 🌊 waves at night and watch the sunrise and sunset everyday. Not everyone was up for sunrise lol. The only issue we had was there was no internet when we checked in but we told the propert manager an they got it handled right away and had internet the next morning. Overall a great experience I would definitely recommend to anyone who especially wants to stay on the beach. The private beach was a huge plus an being on the beach was awesome because we were able to go to the beach from 3-sunset every evening an not have to worry about packing up a car to go back home. If your looking for an easy beach vacation this is an awesome option.

Overall a great experience. The lower rating was because when we arrived, the townhouse was not clean. We had to wait a couple of hours to get in for it to be cleaned. The property management was responsive with the issue. The location is good and the views from the balconies were amazing!

The location of the property was perfect. The beach was amazing. Our beach had much less people at it than ones nearby which was a perk. The balconies on the house were wonderful. The bedrooms could really use some updating and more storage for clothes. We really never could unpack due to lack of storage in some rooms. Adding rugs to balcony entrances downstairs would help control sand a lot. That was a big challenge for us. The curtains need to be replaced in bedrooms. The size of the house was perfect for holding our family and allowing us to have separation as well when needed. Overall, we picked this house for location and beach….we got what we wanted. It was a great week with family.

Excellent location and great space for our 3 families (6 adults, 2 kids). Property is a bit rough around the edges (loose shower support handles, sliding doors hard to operate and don't seal, and carpets/ rugs could stand to be cleaned), but the location is perfect. Close to amenities and away from large beach crowds. We enjoyed our week of stay here.

This property was in a great location with direct access to the beach. The living room and dining room were more spacious than they appear in the pics. We had a party of 10 and had plenty of room.

Property was clean , right on the beach and location was central to all that was going on . I would stay here again - great family vacation for 10 people!

Overall it was a great stay. There were a few issues that came up. There were 4 or so roaches that were in the house. That we seen. We had to make sure when packing up we did not bring any home. 2 of the tubs would not hold water and one if the 2 became clogged on the 3rd nite. 2 times we had to go out and ask people to leave our umbrella and chairs. But like I said overall great place to stay.

I rented the Little House on the Beach for my family to stay for our wedding. It was perfect! They loved it! The rooms were furnished just as the pictures were on the website. Everyone loved their rooms and the living area/dining/kitchen are excellent and beautifully furnished. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful time. We loved being right on the water and listening to the beach at night.

This house is in a prime location. Just walk down stairs and you're at the beach. We all found the house had plenty of room to relax, watch TV, or play games. There were some minor problems with a couple of drains in the bathrooms but those were not a problem with our stay. All in all, we all woould stay there again.

This property was perfect for our family! The beach is literally a few steps from the house. We loved all the outdoor space in the balconies (had lots of meals outside) and the little shower at the edge of the property was perfect for washing sand off little feet. The inside of the house had lots of space for everyone to sprawl and be comfortable. All the bedrooms were nice and comfortable, and the kids loved the bunk room. Kitchen had all the things we needed to make dinners in. The street the house is on is very busy, but it was easy to walk to stores (and we highly recommend the coffee shop, winery, and pizza place just across the street!).We loved our stay and hope to come back soon!

PLEASE READ !!! I am fairly certain you will not post online but my frustration with this rental is unmatched! I believe Real Joy did communicate fairly well, to a point right up to the moment we arrived. Communication with RJ was simple and understandable. My major issue with our entire vacation was ruined by the adjoining unit which was and has been under renovation for a long time and looks like it will continue to be for the near future. So if you plan a stay, MAKE sure you ask if the renovations next door are done. We were there in March of 2021 and its going to be while until completed. When you arrive late at night and then are woken up by a compressor start up at 7:30 am something is amiss. All kinds of construction debris, scaffolding, dumpsters, dust and a ton of NOISE! We had to listen to routers, nail guns, compressors, hammering, table saw, not to mention having to deal with saw dust all over vehicles and decks, which also included a rented golf cart. To top it off, having to deal with a nasty and callous General Contractor that was not willing to clean up or try to make less noise. He was rude and seemed like he actually tried to make more noise after we asked him to make an effort to to help out. We had to listen to this ALL 5 days of our rental. There had to have been some inclination by RJoy that this was taking place? I realize you tried to resolve after a phone call I made but a small gift from RJ will not take the noise we had to endure for all those days especially for what we paid. It was miserable. We could not fully enjoy the decks because workers were re-finishing, cutting and installing new cedar decking less than a few feet from us!!! I know what you will be saying that this is out of our control, but if RJ or the owner was upfront and stated there was a possibility of renovation next door we would have booked something else. Its all about the mighty dollar! Not the vacation a family deserves after a year of lockdown and sickness!House fairly good, although "newly renovated" is a relative term! For something that was recently renovated. There a lot of maintenance items that need to be addressed. water pressure, leaks, sliding doors that don't lock or even close. Upstairs is always warm and down stairs much cooler. However the outside decks are to die for!!!! Great view of the Gulf, dolphins, military aircraft, and by far the best sunsets and then the white sand beach is indescribable!!!!

Perfect location right on the beach! The master bedroom is great..loved waking up to the sound of the waves every morning. Quality and cleanliness of linens not so great. We lost power for a day due to the next door neighbors renovation but the property manager was good about checking in with us and compensating us for the day/night of darkness. All in all a great beach vacation!
