Beds were comfy, nice size bathroom, convenient location

Dirty/moldy dishwasher, soured washer/dryer, minor cleanliness issues (dirty table, dishes that had to be washed prior to use)

The cottage had everything what we needed. Good shop next door. Perfect location

Would be better to have departure time a bit later, say 10am. 9am is too soon (at least for us being on holiday)

Location was ideal, lovely and quiet and a short drive to lots of places to visit. The property itself is beautiful with everything you could need. The open fire was fabulous in the evenings. The owners also own the shop next door which was very reasonably priced and the owners were so nice and kind. I really can’t big this place up enough, go and stay, you won’t regret it!

Great location with on-site parking. Has everything we need for a week with the family to explore this part of England.

Lack of tablets for the dishwasher and washing machine. Can't really expect guests from abroad to carry this around or buy it in large quantities from the supermarket when it's only for a week's stay.

Overall its a lovely cottage Cosy and warm where floors and surfaces, windows were all clean, it felt very homely with lovely touches the owners had made. Had all the amenities in the Kitchen and Bathroom, was warm inside with the heating on, as was colder month of visit. Had Dishwasher, Fridge, Freezer, Wash washing machine and nice coffee machine, lots of space in cupboards if staying a while. Small little garden with nice patio if warm to sit and relax and bbq if weather permitted. Nicely presented bedrooms with lovely quality towels and complimentary toiletries. Welcome bottle of wine appreciated and hosts seemed friendly and warm. It is sad that due to some cleaning issues in Kitchen and smaller problems it lets the Cottage down as it could be a higher rated property with just a little TLC in a few areas.

Kitchen: the Oven was not checked the trays inside were greasy, oven shelf had cooked on food hanging from them. Cooking pots, plates, not fully cleaned /dirty, we had to therefore clean everything before using. The laminate flooring had slipped out of place causing gap, covered by a rug which causes a trip hazard. Bedroom: the double bedroom door did not shut fully with catch, additionally one of the wardrobe door closures has an issue leaving a screw hanging out. Dates on complimentary coffee/tea biscuits need to be checked (out of date), and foods were left behind from previous occupancy. Bathroom: could not bath as did not generate enough hot water to fill, old heating boiler/emersion system we think. Shower screen was temperamental as seals pop out easily when folding unfolding so be careful. Lounge: Sofa was hard without cushions so uncomfortable after a while of sitting cushions would help. When tried to use hoover but bag was more than full, no replacement bags, so had to manually empty to use hoover.
