Great property situated in the very best part of Cape May. Will stay again in the future.

This beautiful Victorian home was perfect for the 30th anniversary of our friendship celebration. The home was immaculate and the location was within walking distance to wonderful restaurants and shopping. We particularly enjoyed our last evening together in the home theatre.

We were in all of this property...it was spotless, had everything we needed and more! We will be booking this for again! We highly recommend! The location was perfect for shopping, bars and the beach!

Walked in and said. “Oh my, oh my!” Big beautiful. Fun and close to main shops, restaurants etc Had a mature Bachelorette party Plenty of parking too

We were a group of 11 adults and stayed for 3 nights. Property is just incredible- the condition is pristine, the owner is very responsive in answering questions and the gorgeous details in every room are just amazing. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back!

Our stay at Jason's house was great, the house is beautiful along with having so many ammenities. It is centrally located in cape may with everything in walking distance. We look forward to staying again in the future!

We were a large group of older adults (youngest 55) who rented the whole property. There are eight bedrooms, and each has its own bathroom (plus a powder room on the main floor). While the kitchen is on the smaller side, it still worked because it had an island, and a large closet for storing some big items (like extra rolls of paper towels, toilet paper, etc.). The owner was responsive. There are two washers, dryers, and dishwashers. The location is stellar. We could walk to many restaurants, the beach, Revolution Railroad, and the main shopping area in town. It was just a short drive (Uber available) away from breweries, wineries, and Wildwood boardwalk. With all VRBO or home rentals, it is wise to purchase damage insurance just in case there is an accident in the home. Our stay was such fun. There is a big dining room area that opens into two sitting areas, which was perfect for lots of chatting. One of my personal favorite parts was the Sonos music that we were able to play through the entire downstairs (and upstairs) of the home. It was a memorable trip that we all enjoyed.

The property is sparkling clean. The house is stunning inside and out. The location is perfect. And my family would rent again in a minute!

This home was amazing and perfect for our large and growing family. My husband and I have 7 children. Six of our children are married and four of them have children of their own, 8 in all. Since the home had 8 gorgeously furnished bedrooms, each family could have their own bedroom and bathroom, with even two bathrooms to spare! We loved the theater room. It was unlike anything we had seen before. We made movie tickets for the kids and popcorn was handed out upon entering. It was the real deal! Jason was easy to reach, great to work with and we could tell he wanted us to enjoy our week stay. We could even easily watch the 4th of July fireworks from the front porch. The house is a show stopper as it is situated in the historic section of town. We could walk to shops quickly because they were very close by, as we did many days, to get ice cream in the evening, or cappuccinos and danish in the morning. We are very thankful that we had the privilege of staying at ‘The Empress’!

A group of 12 ladies stayed for a girls' weekend in May. Beautiful house, spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the beach, walking to the shops and restaurants, and a trip to the winery. The homeowners were very responsive and answered all our questions. Definitely recommend!

We rented this house for a college student retreat and the students were thrilled with it. It's ideally located near shops and the oceanfront, and yet was quiet and private (though we went during the off-season). Lots of cafes and a grocery store nearby (though sadly the doughnut shop had not reopened yet). The details of the listing are what sold it for me, as I wanted a memorable location for the group. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure was great, and there was room to spread out. I appreciated small touches like having fans in each bedroom so that you could have some white noise at night. One of the best features was not having to share a bathroom between rooms. While appearing small at first glance, they were actually fairly spacious. We enjoyed the movie theatre and the functional popcorn cart (the projection system could be a bit finicky, but we were always able to get it working). My students couldn't stop talking about the Victorian dolls and the mannequin manning the ticket booth. We used the kitchen quite a bit and were able to gather 14 people in the dining room with no issues. The house was very clean. The large washers and driers are perfect if you need to do laundry during your stay, and the two dishwashers made cleanup after meals much easier. The kitchen could benefit from a few more large pots and bowls, so if you're doing a lot of cooking for a big group you may want to bring some. It's stocked with most all the utensils you could need, though, along with some basic spices and ingredients for making popcorn in the cart. The second oven was not working while we were there, but a part is supposedly on the way and the one larger oven sufficed for our needs. The gas fireplace in the living room was also not working--it's possible that we were not using it correctly, but I'm fairly certain there was an issue with it as we could never get any gas to come out. The owner was very responsive via phone. He was supposed to send someone to look at the fireplace but I never saw anyone (they could have stopped by while I was out). It was a minor thing, though, and didn't detract much from our enjoyment of the place. Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Grandparents to toddlers and everyone in between loved staying at the empress for a multi-family and multi-generational reunion. While there are many options for large houses, or interesting historical houses, or luxurious accommodations, or ones with good location, in all my research this is the best place to stay that optimizes all of those factors. Beautiful details, warm and comfortable gathering and private spaces (plus show stoppers like the movie theater), and great hospitality and interactions with the host made this a great place for our group of Cape May veterans. If you are on the fence, just book it.

Property was very Victorian as promised. When we rented we were not aware of the extensive rules with respect to use of the property. These should be included in any advertising literature. Location is fantastic, accommodations great. AC leaves a bit to be desired especially on the 3rd fl. Must be able to navigate the stairs.

This house is simply amazing! From the beautiful decor and amenities to the convenience of being so close to the beach and shopping area, it was truly one of the best stays we’ve had in Cape May. The communication with the owner was also very good. I love this house.

We have been to Cape May many times and there is no better location. We did not need to use the car for anything. Walking distance to the beach, shopping and multiple restaurants. The house is beautiful inside. The pictures on the site do not do it justice. We had 4 generations of our family with us. Plenty of space for everyone. Never felt crowded. Every bed was extremely comfortable. Sitting on the porch in the evenings was awesome although you need to be prepared to answer questions from people walking by. Jason is an outstanding host with quick responses to any questions we had. I highly recommend this home.
