I would say the location but two separate neighbors had dogs constantly roaming around and the neighbor following them in our private space and on a separate occasion another neighbor had 2 bulldogs one which had bitten him on his pantleg! A place that had such potential to be private seemed to be the opposite. No bedrooms on main level and not handicap assessible.

We arrived to the property and it was completely trashed. It was clearly uncleaned, had dirty sheets from the guest before, soiled towels thrown on the ground, leftover trash in the bins, and stacks of dirty dishes left in the sink and on the kitchen counter. Additionally, the hot tub did not work and was broken. One of the main reasons we decided to stay in this property was for the use of the hot tub after skiing and it was misrepresented on the online listing that the hot tub is functional. We requested a partial refund and ended up having to file a dispute as an agreeable resolution was not met. Also beware of the two beds upstairs in the loft, they are very small and the photos online misrepresent their size (not long enough for an average adult to sleep in). The location of the property is good but beware that if you are going to spend a premium price to book this property, I would look elsewhere.

Property was great but we didn't have enough papertowels, we had to buy a battery for the fire alarm and the toilet on the first floor was dirty and had to clean it. Other than that it was a great property, great location.

The place is very well appointed and the kitchen is quite nice. There is no view and you do hear road noise. The bus is a short walk away…but it’s a very hilly walk and the house is at the top of a hill. This is also a duplex so there are neighbors adjoining this unit. I would choose to stay closer. Also, no AC which at certain times of year can be problematic and the stairs inside are steep for a small child or older person. The bathroom upstairs is shared by 2 King bedrooms and the loft. The lower level is quite spacious but has a queen and bunk beds.

Great log cabin very close to village with nice hot tub, kitchen, and tv’s everywhere. Can’t beat it. Also, very cool loft with two beds and tv for teens, not little kids.

We really enjoyed this property. It's perfect for a family of 4-7 people. Above that, it would be somewhat tight with the floor plan. That being said, the patio area is beautiful and the patio is virtually surrounded by mountains or woods. We spent a lot of time there. The property is also on a nice cul-de-sac so it's safer for kids. We also really liked that it's right next to Booth Park playground and the Booth Falls hiking trail which is our favorite in Vail.
We would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

This property was beautiful and so convenient! Close to lots of gorgeous trails and easy access to so many fun things. We enjoyed the hot tub almost every night after hikes and fly fishing. The kitchen was well stocked . We did have trouble with one toilet upon arrival, but It was promptly repaired. Would definitely stay here again!

We elected to pay a premium for the private hot tub versus a property with a shared hot tub, and we ended up with NO hot tub. This was a known issue with the property and it was not inspected prior to our arrival. They were not able to fix it during our stay. We were compensated, but not nearly the difference between a property that has no hot tub versus a property that has a private hot tub. The dishwasher and trash compactor were not functioning either. My recommendation to the property owner is to get a management company other than Vacasa that cares and does their job to maintain your property.

The only problems we had was the dish washer did not work at all so we had to hand wash the entire time. When we go there, the bottom of the dishwasher was clogged. Outside of that, it was a great house and a great experience overall. The rental company was fast to respond to any questions we had.

The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed for cooking. The house is so cozy and rustic, in a private setting with beautiful views. The reason for four stars is the hot tub never worked and that was one of our criteria when we searched for a place to stay. The skiers were pretty disappointed about that after a long day of skiing. They sent someone out to check on it, but it was never fixed. Management was very nice and apologetic and they did refund us for a portion of our stay. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

Beautiful Home!
This place is absolutely beautiful, it felt like a luxury retreat. We had three couples in the group and there was plenty of space for everyone.
The location is close to Vail but still feels secluded. One morning we were enjoying coffee on the back deck and a deer ran through the yard.
I would recommend this place to anyone!

Stayed for 5 nights and did numerous things around Vail. It was just a very nice place to stay and get some rest and relaxation. There is a really good mountain view from the hot tub. We saw a few deer right by the residence. Overall was a 5 star rating!

Some things to note: the upstairs bedrooms share a large bath, the kitchen/living space has everything you need, but in a compact footprint. The good news—there's plenty of space on the lower level for boots/bags/equipment storage. Some "opportunities" include several windows that were hard to open/close, an older hot tub that was a little noisy, and not enough towel racks in baths. All in all, a great stay and we would gladly rebook.

We loved staying at the Katsos Ranch Road house. Lots of room, very nice amenities, beautiful views. The house is very private and clean. We really didn’t lack anything. Great location for hiking, but still just a quick five minutes to Vail. This is the first place we will check on our next trip to Vail.
