I did not want to go back to reality! My partner and I had an amazing time in this small home on the water. The weather was a bit wild, but that can't be helped. I actually think it was more beautiful because we got to experience the storm all around us in the sun room but felt beyond protected. Waking up and seeing the cars on the bridge and the boats on the river were incredible with the soft patters of rain all around us. We felt so secluded and saw many animals (huge frogs, lots of deer, bunnies galore) and yet we were so close to downtown and the busy city suburbs of Louisville. We also went to Caesar's Southern Indiana and gambled a little (only 30 min drive). Kari has a beautiful place and is a very sweet person to deal with in general. I would not hesitate to rent this property again!

Overall things were great! The rental is slightly off the beaten path and more secluded, which for us was great. The kids saw lots of deer while walking and other animal tracks. The river views were absolutely beautiful! The deck however was not there when we arrived and after quickly connecting with the owner, it had been damaged with a storm. Although understandable this was frustrating because our kids were lookong forward to fishing the river and a large part of why we chose the rental. Kari was fantastic to work with, responsive and able to help us out! The lower bedroom is huge and we were able to use a roll away cot for our youngest to stay in that room with us. The other two rooms are small and only accomodate rhe beds in thems. The daybed and trundle is in the lower level of the house and offered a nice retreat for the 10 and 11 year olds we had with us. Lots of things near by to do with 20-30 min drives. The small town the house resides in had a near by shopping center just minutes down the road for quick store runs. Would recommend!

Home description was accurate. Very clean and roomy. Well stocked kitchen. Wonderful view of the river and wildlife. Close to shopping and restaurants. A great stay!

The home was really nice, clean, comfortable, welcoming. But the view was AMAZING! I sat on the sun porch all day and most of the night. We watched barges float past, and I could not take my eyes off the bridge. We had a truly peaceful time. Thank you for allowing us into your home.

Nice little place that sits on the river! Relaxing to sit in the hot tub and watch the barges go by! Would stay here again!

Clean home, beautiful location.

Beautiful setting beside river. Feels remote but it is very close to grocery store and restaurants. Downtown Louisville was only a few minutes down scenic drive of River road. We saw tons of deer around house and in neighborhood. However, it may feel too remote for ladies traveling alone. Great view of bridge but a lot of traffic noise when outside. Lower bathroom very small. Not suitable for kids or those with stability issues due to stairs inside and out. Kitchen and outside areas could use a little TLC. An overall good place that could be great with a few tweaks.

The location of this house was great! House itself could use some updates. Our group of 8 fit comfortably though and we all had a great time in the area!

We had a wonderful time. Louisville has a lot of offer. From children activites to Bourban trail. Was a great mix for a family. The property was everything we could hope for. Older chsrming home. With a lot of history. Updated with amenties and charm. The view is unmatched. Loved watching the boats and rover traffic. Kari was a wondeful host and very helpful. We would def stay again!

To start with you have to drive by the water treatment facility to get to the property. Then when you arrive, the properties on either side are unoccupied and in differing levels of disrepair. This immediately made us feel uneasy upon arriving at the home. Once we arrived at the home, the wood covering the front porch was rotting and there was missing siding above the entry door. Once entering the home, the stairs are slanted with no handrail provided. Every floor on the upper level is sloped to the point that you can feel it while walking on it. The flooring in the kitchen has been replaced and it buckles when you walk on it in addition to visible cracking due to the uneven floors. The kitchen cabinets have been painted and none of them close against the cabinet boxes. Every vent in the home was caked with dust. The vanity in the upstairs bathroom is cracked and the tub drain in rotting away. Outside, one of the railing has a substantial piece missing and there was a mangles chair up against one of the trees. Simply put, this was not the level of quality we were expecting for the price we paid to stay at this home. If you are looking for an elevated experience, I would highly suggest that you look elsewhere.

We were a group of 7 family members, all above the age of 62, ranging to 87! We loved the location and the screened in porch and lower patio with hot tub, and enjoyed watching the river traffic! We lucked out with unseasonably cool weather! Kari, our host, was very responsive and came to the house to remedy the few problems that we encountered! The house is a bit old and has a very cramped and not very well stocked (in terms of cookware) kitchen, however, it worked and we were able to do a lot of cooking! Thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Beautiful views . Property makes any weather condition fine. Covered patio is great if it rains and enclosed patio with air conditioning is perfect when it’s hot. Very comfortable. Would recommend this property for any family !

Stairs in home not recommend for children or the elderly or those with disabilties they need a railing. Gas outdoor pit broken. Kitchen floor was slanted to the right. Needs yard cleaned up. Outdoor area could be awesome . Beds were very comfortable. Wonderful view and glassed in porch with sliding windows and doors could not have been better One in out group slept there and LOVED it right on river the by 265 bridge. Barges,pontoons and boats kept us totally entertained. Very private and relaxing location. Overall good time for 7 retired ladies.

This was a nice location for a bourbon trail weekend. The house had a great view, and the hot tub was an added plus. Plenty of space for three couples without being on top of one another. We had an issue with one of the toilets that was promptly addressed by Kari.

This house was in a nice, convenient location in relation to downtown Louisville, all major conveniences and great restaurants on the river. Although the traffic from the bridge was a bit loud, the view of the river, the sunsets and the barges going by while sitting on the nice dock, the hot tub or beautiful four seasons room made up for it. The house was clean, comfortable and charming with a lot of space to spread out. It is on a dead end street so there is not a lot of traffic and is also on a nice size lot. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the river and some nice green space but are able to be downtown in 20 minutes, I recommend this location for you.

New dock is absolutely beautiful. Hot tub super clean. Host is the best. This place is much more spacious than you can imagine. You can truly be comfortable with the maximum head count of this property. Beautiful views of the river and the bridge. Smooth communication - you will not be disappointed.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property! A few of our favorite things: the sun room facing the water and bridge (so relaxing), the hot tub (we love that is was under a covered porch too so you could still use it when it was raining. ), and huge open field across the road. (This was perfect for us to run our pups on.) The little town of Prospect was super close to grab groceries and had options for other dining if you didn't want to cook. If you are looking for privacy and views near Louisville, I highly recommend this property.

A lovely visit in an older home right on the river with a great view if the bridge. There was plenty of room for everyone and we had a great time, thank you!

Good home base for a Bourbon Tour. Clean and nice location on the river. A little cold in the lower level but it was a little colder than normal I believe. We stayed first of Feb. I would recommend.

This is our 2nd stay at this property. We enjoyed the wonderful views of the Ohio River and appreciated that a grocery, drugstore and restaurants were close by. If you have someone with mobility issues be aware that the main living space is on the second floor. Would stay here again.

The outdoor space was fantastic. The house was clean and nice. The home was well done. The house was built in the50’s. Very comfortable vacation.

Quiet neighborhood, nice amenities. Some house features needed some maintenance, but it really didn’t impact our stay. Had a great time on our girls weekend.
