Room temperature was good on arrival. Aircon had been switched on to warm the room.

WiFi access is complicated and signal is generally poor in the area. Response to WhatsApp messages was slow - might be due to network quality Bathroom door was squeaky so not pleasant in the middle of the the night. Carnivore Resturant was cold at dinner.

The environment and that the chef made a lovely cake for me.

- The relaxed and delayed response of staff (maintanance in particular). - Aircons and fire place not working even for our friends we had invited over. - Maybe next time when you have a big conference like you had (ANC), do not have other guests. It was chaotic at the breakfast dining area.

Tranquility and atmosphere was relaxing

we waited 1 hour at the Gin box for an order for 4…. we then asked then to send it to the room - as we had an evening dinner - with guests coming over to the Hotels restaurant after waiting another 45minutes -at our room - This now totals to 1h 45m waiting we phoned and canceled the food and drink order - as we were thinking- it’s now too late to eat anything- dinner would be in an hours time ,,,,,,, as we were cancellling the order - the food came…… which was not that great - a lot of deep fried food

Location is great & that’s about it, service is terrible

From check to check out, the service was horrible. @ check they could not find my booking, the burger ordered from the bin bar was raw, took 1 & 1/2 for Ice & 2 glasses to be delivered tot he room & then the lady that brings wanted me to pay her a fee. Breakfast we were told was till 11:00 @ 10:30 we went for breakfast for the lady to say it’s finished, we spoke to a manager, he told us no such thing & sent us to gin box again (big mistake) I ordered the breakfast on the go, I asked them to remove the bacon & they replaced it with sausage, mind you their isn’t sausage on the order, when I asked the waitress she said it comes with, I showed her on the menu it doesn’t. On check out, the lady came to the exit with the pay point to say they haven’t received my payment, yet when I handed in the key they said everything is sorted. The service is terrible, I will not return, we were recommend this place by a friend who came & they also warned us about the service, but this was pathetic,

The staff is amazing, great pool and spa. There is a lot of activities to keep you busy. Surroundings are tranquil and relaxing.

The restaurants are very limiting in options and have the same set menu which over time gets boring.

Staff are very helpful and very friendly. Made us feel at home. Provided us with a lamp, advised us on loadshedding times. Walked us through to our rooms at 11pm made sure we never got lost and found our room okay. Always a smiling face when exploring the venue.

Good location; the beds were comfortable.

This was my second time, and I was shocked at how poorly it's run now. Service was crappy; we booked four rooms and wanted them next to each other only two rooms were next to each other; I booked activities for eight people with breakfast and dinner at the carnivore restaurant for the two days. They could not find our booking. I showed them the emails I sent, and when we checked them. We were turned away at the restaurant; my parents-in-law are both 70 years old. They had to walk in the rain, and when we asked for a trailer car to be arranged, they told us no one was available, and we had to walk. The manager came to us and apologized and assured us they would investigate the booking, till now no one has done anything.

The room was nicely equipped and neat. Location is lovely and the staff were very nice.

The shower head in the bathroom was broken, so it only sprayed a very fine mist which made it impossible. The breakfast was alright, but a lack of cutlery and crockery and the tables were all wobbly. Further, in future, it would be nice to know of there is a big corporate event booked at the venue during your stay, as those guests were extremely loud at ridiculous hours outside the rooms throughout the night until 6am. It was also a bit hectic at breakfast as everyone at the corporate event was loud. Would have been nice to have a relaxing evening in the countryside, but unfortunately that was not the case.

There was an extremely loud noise, which we can assume came from a generator. It reverberated throughout the room and made it very hard to sleep.

No noise from the generator. That is our main complaint, especially since we were attending our sons wedding the next day , and we hardly got any rest.

The shower is awful, attention needs to be paid to changing the heads so one can have a decent shower

The staff was really friendly and pleasant. I liked the Restaurants as well as the spa. And i got a few great photos. If i go there again, i wouldn't stay over but just visit the restaurants and spa.

The place is beautiful or could be more beautiful but it seemed so neglected, the gardens are overgrown, it's even a bit scary walking in there. The room was okay but there was a weird unpleasant smell in there.

I didn't have enough time, so I did not eat breakfast
