I liked that its in the centre and near everything.

The quality of the bed leaves a lot to be desired. The policy of not changing sheets until after 3 nights, regardless of if they are dirty or not is not on. Especially for the amount of money they charge! They should change sheets when they are dirty or after 3 nights.

The fact they call it a queen room when a queen has a double bed. This room has a large single bed the bed it's self is ok, but they should be calling it single room cause that's what it is. I Wasn't made to feel welcome they didn't speak a great lot of English but its not the uk so that's to be expected. Definitely would never stay again

The Breakfast is ok, the most necessary is there and certainly enough coffee. The situation of the hotel is very good with short walking distances to theatres and Kunsthalle. There are some good cafés suitable for reading, on the front row towards Hansaplatz.

For the rating of hotel Astoria is, the room we had and breakfast were fairly good. We were very reticent before our stay as the hotel were not willing to be flexible on their cancellation policy even months in advance, but overall we had a pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly too. Ask for room 22!

Unfortunately other reviews are accurate in terms of some of the unsavoury characters loitering in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, there is no getting around that unfortunately.. And that is the only reason why I wouldn't stay there again. Sound proofing between rooms and the corridors could also be improved.

it’s 5 min from central train station personnel is very polite

seems I booked it in a rush being very tired and inconsiderate. yes, it’s cheap, but it’s a closet!! no spase inside, toilet and shower and sink are all together in 1 sq m! doors and walls are thin, you hear everything… so this booking was definitely a mistake…

night shift staff claimed that the vending machine owner is someone else therefore I can’t buy. there was a sticker on the machine with the hotel logo! no A/C so opening the window is the way to feel a little bet cool but the street noises are very annoying.
