Das Haus im kolonialen Stil ist professionell renoviert und gestaltet. Es liegt etwas abseits, in einem schönen, recht grünen Stadtviertel, ist aber dennoch nah genug am Zentrum gelegen. Die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse, vor allem abends, ist beeindruckend. Das Frühstück war lecker; der Gastgeber und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und immer mit Rat und Tat zur Stelle.

Das Zimmer hätte etwas größer sein können, aber da wir jederzeit den großzügigen Hof und die Dachterrasse nutzen konnten, war das nicht so schlimm.

Villa del Prado is a beautiful restored Villa in Prado, which is super close to the city center. Metro access is a 10 min walk. We loved every detail of the house. Ivan, the owner, was super nice and had lots of insider tipps for us in Medellin - that helped a lot and made our stay super awesome. It felt as if we were visiting a friend. Isabelle prepared a delicious breakfast for us which we had on the terrace with the best view of Medellin. The room was clean, spacious and also offered an amazing city view. It was quiet at night, so we slept excellent. Thank you for a beautiful stay!

Beautiful period property that's been carefully restored in an interesting area that most tourists don't visit (I certainly saw very few). I enjoyed seeing the architecture (don't miss walking down Calle 50 to Centro - full of old houses that would have been THE place to live in the 40's and 50's I guess. Friendly staff, I enjoyed it.

Not a criticism, but don't visit here if you're the nervous type. Centro is full of noise, crowds, and every manner of street life. If, like me, you want to see all sides that make up Medellin, then stay here. Wander around for hours (without valuables on display) and marvel at the madness. Then walk the 10 minutes back to the tranquility of the hotel (it's quiet). Enoy your stay - I certainly enjoyed mine.

Everything here was so charmingly furnished, and the atmosphere the host created was really lovely. He was always ready to treat us with coffee, was up for a nice conversation and gave us a lot of useful tips. Would definitely stay at this place again on my next trip to Medellín! 😀

WOW, what an amazing and beautiful place to stay! If you are travelling to Medellín, please stay here to experience the culture, stunning architecture, an amazing host and a peaceful time. We booked to stay for 1 night and we ended up staying 1 week. Ivan is the most genuine, lovely and intelligent man and a fabulous host. Everyday he would make sure we were making the most of each day and recommended where to go, where to eat, what to see, how to get there, how to stay safe etc. Each day he asked us how our day went and was genuinely interested in what we'd been doing - we could sit and speak to him for hours. One evening he even walked us to a restaurant he recommended, one morning he took us walking to a beautiful park where he goes running (which not many tourists know about) and another morning, he went for a run with my partner. Ivan was very attentive to our needs and nothing was too much trouble. He has put so much love and passion into the architecture and renovation of this property (him being an architect himself) and it was amazing to see. He told us the history of the house and explained how he has renovated parts whilst retaining a lot of the original parts and took us on a tour around the building. (This place is bigger than it looks and is truly stunning!) The view from the balcony was incredible, it overlooks Medellin and is especially beautiful at night. The facilities were great, comfy beds, clean, great shower (hot and great pressure), pretty courtyard, chill out area, dining area.. overall we couldn't fault it. If you are looking for a stay to get fully immersed in the culture, away from the tourist vibe, with a cosy feel, this is the place to stay. Thank you so much Ivan, you made our week so memorable. Nice and tidy house with a beautiful terrace view of Medellin. The area feels save to walk arround and the host, Ivan, was very informative and nice to chat to.

We loved e everything! The house is huge and gorgeous. The shared areas are beautiful and so is the view. The room was clean and comfortable with the best hot shower ever. Ivan is an awesome Italian guy who is very friendly and helpful. He made us coffee every day, let us leave luggage for storage and gave us tips and everything we needed.

A wonderful and personal place in a good location. Clean and suitable sized rooms with lots of storage space. The big kitchen, where you can cook, and the wonderful terrace were particularly good. During our stay we felt at home, big thanks to host Ivan for this! He was so helpful and willingly answered all our questions at any time of the day. Highly recommended :)
