Great size kitchen and dining area, nice large yard. Not too far from many great beaches and must see spots in Keweenaw Peninsula. 5 bedrooms were all well kept and clean. We also enjoyed the firepit one night too. Would stay again.

Great property! Very quiet location, well maintained and very clean. Home owners communicated well. Great patio/firepit area. Absolutely no complaints. Would recommend this beautiful home to anyone staying in the area.

We had 7 people stay in the house for a week's summer vacation. 3 Married generations (grand parents, parents, daughter & husband) and an 18 year old. Plenty of room to spread out into the bedrooms, but great common areas in kitchen, dinning, living room, and outdoor fire pit patio. Kitchen was fantastic: well stocked with pots, spices, etc. Double oven and large 5 burner stove helped with a big group. Separate coffee bar area on other side of kitchen helped remove from congestion in the kitchen. Entire house was well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, soap, etc which helped avoid an emergency run to the store for supplies. House is well maintained. Close to everything but still has an out in the country feel. Stores less than 10 minutes away. Downtown Houghton is 10 minutes and Copper Harbor 1 hour. Would stay again if we come back to this area.

there were 3 couples in our group, everyone had a great time. due to lack of snow could not leave from house, having 2 driveways made getting in and out a breeze. the couple that stayed in basement said,"was a little chilly", used an electric heater from trailer to take the chill away. Awesome house will stay there again!!!

Updated home, well equipped and clean. Kitchen was excellent. Plenty of room for snowmobile trailers. We would stay at this property again!

Great owners and home. Very clean remodeled home with plenty of bedrooms and amenities. Six of us spent 4 nights and hit 600 miles in 3 days of riding. Staging out of this location with trail access at the mailbox worked great! Dumps you onto Trail 3 just south of Houghton. Will likely rent this property again next year.

If you are going to the Houghton area and have young children this place is perfect. If the weather is less than ideal like it was for our stay it was great to have a large indoor area to turn the kids loose and not have to worry about something getting broke. The house itself was wonderful and the sauna was a definite plus. Next time we go back to the area, we definitley want to stay here again.

Kitchen is very well laid out and easy to work with. Home is bigger in person than we thought in the pictures. The use of the garage was very nice and helpful. All around nice place to stay. Very relaxing.

It was just my husband and I, but the place is big with enough room for a large group. Great location to everything in Houghton but feel like you're in the country. Well stocked, clean, everything you need. Fabulous price!

We came to the UP with 3 of our 4 sons (1 in his 20s and the other 2 are teens) to visit friends. This house was SO perfect! To save money, I brought a lot of food to prepare and enjoyed cooking in this gorgeous kitchen! Everyone had plenty of space to spread out and we had a blast exploring the surrounding area and spending time with friends. For families with smaller children, the yard and basement are fabulous! The hosts have thought of every thing you may need and were very acommodating and quick to answer our questions. I hope we have a chance to return to this place again!!

House was great; had everything we needed and was just a few minute drive from the waterfront. Sauna in particular was wonderful as we relaxed in the evenings.

The house was perfect for the group of people that we had. There was enough room for privacy and ample space for togetherness.

Siblings from across the country gathered to honor their brother (Michigan Tech senior) in his final regular season home games. The house and location were fabulous. There was even ample parking for the cars of the local family members who gathered for family games in the evenings. The children loved the basement play space, too. We would definitely return!

We had to come up and bury our son. The Kangas home provided the comfort and space for our family. Plenty of beds, the kitchen is equipped with just about everything you need. The sauna was amazing. I used it every night. Thank you Talia and Brian!

This is an excellent place to stay. It is about a 4 minute drive to MTU to see our daughter. There is a lot of room. The basement would be great for younger kids. If it had been snowing the garage would have really been handy.

Our stay was wonderful. Great location and such a cute place. We had eight adults and more than enough room for all of us. Wonderful hosts to work with. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Talia was very responsive and a gracious host. The house was extremely clean, organized and decorated perfectly. Everything you need is right where you would expect it. The house is wonderful for kids and adults alike with many options of activities for those of all ages and lots of space to spread out both indoors and outdoors! Perfect house for 6 adults and 3 kids to stay comfortably and not feel like we are on top of each other. Fantastic location. Beautiful property. We will definitely be back!
