The location was perfect as only 15 minutes or so walk along the river into Bergerac. The house was lovely & clean. Breakfast was exceptional especially the homemade plum cake and the yoghurt. We would highly recommend a stay at this delightful house in a lovely town.

We didn’t have a car which made it difficult to go into the town centre. Taxis were difficult to book. Although our host very kindly drove us into town one evening. Our only option was to walk.

Excellent breakfast, comprising of croissants, bread, meats, cheeses, glorious fresh fruit from the garden, and homemade yoghurt and cakes.

This was such a beautiful property and Martine was the best host. All home made the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had and set in very elegant surroundings! Despite not speaking each other’s language we still managed to get by and Martine was warm and welcoming and even arranged her lovely partner to drop us off at the airport when we left. Bergerac is a very pretty town and I’d highly recommend staying at the Villa Astride!

Very nice property, the villa is decorated beautifully. Comfortable rooms, nice bathroom facilities, airco present. Hostess is amazing and helpful, even though we didn’t speak French well. breakfast was beyond and superfluous. Would definitely come back and recommend this place!

cleanliness snd standards exceptional large bedroom with very comfy bed En-suite was amazing - even had room freshener and cotton pads! breakfast was delightful and always freshly prepared. Host goes over and beyond expectations to ensure your stay is special.

A beautiful home that was very comfortable to stay in. Our room was spacious with excellent facilities. Martine couldn’t have been more welcoming, serving a delicious breakfast each morning and, despite our poor French, worked hard to ensure we had all we needed for us to be as comfortable as possible.

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Aristide and Martine, our hostess. was extremely accommodating and friendly. We decided against eating out and instead bought food for a picnic and Martine set up a table for us outside with everything we needed for a leisurely al fresco meal. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of food; the home-made yogurts and jams were particularly tasty. Our bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated - as is the rest of the house - and the bed was extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend Villa Aristide and would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Such a peaceful and relaxing place - a great base for exploring the region by car as you can park at the property and come and go as you please. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and breakfast was superb.

The house was beautifully decorated and finished to a high standard. The owners were very friendly and patient with us despite our lack of French. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the location was a lovely c 20mins walk along the river from the centre. We had a lovely stay in a very comfortable room with air con. Would highly recommend this property.

- Location is not central - but only a 5 min drive from historic part of Bergerac - Soundproofing between floors not great (this is to be expected for this kind of property) - Decoration is tasteful and elegant, but seems a little feminine - again, part of the charm and character **All of the above are matters of taste, not faults with this property**

Incredibly beautiful place, very friendly reception, excellent breakfast where you order almost everything you like: freshly squeezed orange juice, omelette, croissants, self-made chocolate cake!... Unbelievable! The person who runs the place absolutely wishes to make guests feel comfortable and satisfied. Unfortunately, as we are not that often in the region, to come again but we highly recommend!

I have never had a better bed and breakfast experience! Martine was an incredible hostess, and I truly felt at home at Villa Aristide. She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of, and I can't even describe how wonderful it was to wake up with the smell of her pies and tartes in the morning. Highly recommend Villa Aristide to anyone traveling to Bergerac!

Great location. 20 min walk into centre and near beautiful river walk. Lovely property with nice garden and beautifully furniture and space internally. Host very helpful. Breakfast superb.

Minor point but need to be clear that cash is required for payment.
