This little cottage nestled on the cliff above the sea was perfectly peaceful, tidy and everything was as expected. The pleasant hosts live nearby and are easy to reach if needed (we had no need for assistance though). It is a short walk to everything in town…the few restaurants, shops, the post office, and boat tours.

Tom and Barbara were terrific hosts. We got in late and they went over and turn the lights on and opened the door for us. They even left us a bottle of water and a bottle of wine. The home has been updated. They have every amenity you would need from the Kuerig coffee maker to hair dryers in the bathrooms. Extremely comfortable beds. The view is amazing. The heater works great. They have an on demand water heater. Two showers were taken at the same time and we had hot water. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to Maine. We highly recommend this property.

Our stay was fantastic! Everything was super clean. Love the way it's decorated and really appreciated the bottle of wine, gallon of water and cookies that were waiting for us after a very long day of traveling to get there. The views are breathtaking! Would definitely recommend and stay there again!!

Lupine cottage is lovely, comfortable and in a wonderful location. We walked with our dogs all over Eastport every day and especially enjoyed being so close to town but yet very quiet. Our favorite was waking up to a pink and red sky as the sun rose and looking out the front yard to see deer grazing with the water as an idyllic backdrop. The only drawback was there really is no yard for the dogs. We kept them leashed at all times but would have loved some space for them to run free as we've done in other locations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lupine cottage! It was meticulous. The owners had special touches such as binoculars for whale watching that enhanced the stay. We were sad to leave the beautiful sunrises. Definitely recommend!

We had such a great stay at the Lupine cottage. We were so spoiled with the beautiful ocean views and clear days to see straight across to Deer Island.

We had a wonderful stay at Lupine Cottage. The cottage was as depicted on the website, and included everything we needed. The personal touches made it that much better and enjoyable. The views were spectacular, especially the sunrises! Easy access to town, hiking trails and state parks. A stress free stay thanks to the hosts. We will be back!

The house was beyond clean and the accommodations were great! So close to downtown Eastport that, if you wanted, you could walk there. We loved the deer family that visited every morning and evening. The hosts lived right by so we felt if there had been a problem that we could reach them easily. The view was amazing. Hated to leave.

Lupine Cottage was everything we were looking for and more! Location and proximity to town is great, easily walkable or super short drive. Amazing views of the bay from the front of the cottage and off the deck, which we enjoyed hanging and grilling on. The inside of the cottage is also bigger than the photos do justice! It's an excellent space, well thought through and carefully maintained. We hope to make this a regular outpost when visiting family and look forward to coming back!

My husband and I stay at Lupine cottage for 5 days in August with our Dog. The house was spotless and just like it is pictured. We actually both worked a few days during our stay and had no issues with the WIFI. Sitting on the deck working was lovely. The owners are very friendly and unobtrusive even though their house is fairly close to the cottage. We enjoyed seeing the deer who are so tame that they do not even move if you walk past them. Had a couple of lunches at Bocephus. Their lobster sandwiches are amazing. Rather than take a whale watching tour from Eastport, we drove to Lubec instead and used Downeast charter boats. They take out a max of 6 people which seemed safer than the crowded boats used by companies in Eastport due to covid situation.

Our stay at the Lupine Cottage was a highlight of our two week holiday visiting Maine for our family of four, including two teenagers. The cottage itself is beautifully renovated, offering a comfortable and cozy home and a beautiful location, perched overlooking the sea which made for a perfect start to the day and a quiet afternoon/evening. The owners, Barbara and Tom, were friendly and helpful from the first interactions throughout, providing us privacy during our stay while being responsive to any questions. We loved Eastport - a charming, friendly, interesting and welcoming community. Highly recommend a stop by the Tides Institute and Museum of Art: Dasterdly Dicks Wicked Good Coffee for excellent breakfast; Horn Run Brewery: Eastport Windjammers for whale watching (and seals, porpoises and a bald eagle); and Eastport Arts Center for a wonderful evening of classical music: and Polar Treats ice cream. We also enjoyed the great hiking the area offers such as West Quoddy and Shackford Head — beautiful scenery and trails without the crowds of Arcadia. At the beginning and end of each day, we loved returning to the quiet and comfort of Lupine Cottage. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at Lupine Cottage. We enjoyed the cooler temps during the hot summer. Barbara and Tom were great hosts, and we left Maine with new friends after our visit. We enjoyed hikes on the Bold Coast near Cutler, Reversing Falls, and Jasper Beach. If travelling in 2021 - be advised most restaurants are closed or at greatly reduced hours. Nothing in the town of Eastport was open after 7:00pm. I highly recommend stopping at Hannaford grocery in Machias before arriving in Eastport. The IGA is not a very good grocery store. Places we did enjoy eating - Polar Treat great road side burger place with wonderful ice cream, Pat's Pizza in Machias, Fisherman's Wharf in Lubec, Bocephus in Eastport. Whale watching tour was great while deep sea fishing was not impressive.

We had a great time! Perfect place to get away and we really liked that the town was within walking distance. House was perfect for our family of four. Thanks for a good week!

This BEAUTIFUL cottage is perfect for the work from home life. My spouse and I were able to take zoom calls from the cottage and beautiful deck. We had a productive work week while enjoying the beautiful views and lovely town. The cottage has been masterfully redecorated. The hosts have paid attention to the smallest detail and, as a result, we felt like we were home from the minute we walked into the place. Barbara and Tom are amazing hosts, very friendly, thoughtful, and highly responsive to questions. Highly recommend this place. Also, the kitchen is fantastic and we enjoyed several home cooked meals thanks to the well stocked kitchen and fresh seafood available nearby.

We love Eastport it has been a long standing tradition in my husbands family to visit for the 4th of July. His grandmother was from Eastport. This house is adorable and has all the comforts of home. Walkable to town or a super quick drive if you don’t feel like walking. The hosts were very responsive to any quick questions we had. Five stars and highly recommend this cottage! Thanks for a great stay, I am sure we’ll be back in the future.

We had a wonderful week at Lupine Cottage. The cottage is eclectic, quaint, and extremely clean. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed for our week in Eastport. The addition of the deck makes for wonderful added space overlooking a breathtaking view. The view from the master bedroom is one that happily lulled us to bed in the early evening hours and had us up bright and early to enjoy it all over again. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, look no further. Eastport is a friendly small town with shops and galleries to explore that boast local artists and one of a kind pieces. The hardware store has a wide variety of souvenir type items and shirts to show your new love of Eastport when you return home. Horn Run Brewing is a stop not to miss as well as Old Sow Grill and The Happy Crab. A new sandwich shop opened the day before we left, located next to the Whale Watching tour stand on Water Street. We found the IGA had all we needed in the way of groceries, but there is also a Walmart Super Center about 40 minutes north in Calais. Beyond the gorgeous setting, laid back vibes, and perfect cottage, we found Eastport full of the kindest people. Tom and Barb the home owners live next door and took the best care of us, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Waking up on our last morning in the home and we were already nostalgic for Lupine Cottage and Eastport.

The location was perfect - great views; short walk into town and waterfront; short drives to other towns and beautiful places to visit and walk/hike. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed for a great stay. Great deck and outdoor space. Very quiet and peaceful. Fabulous view of sunrise over Campobello Island. Hosts were so accessible and helpful. We will come again!!

We absolutely loved this little cottage that is just a short walk to town and has breathtaking views of the bay and Campobello. The cottage is spotless and well appointed with everything you will need including a nice kitchen with all the amenities. The hosts, Barbara and Tom, were so lovely and welcoming. They live next door so they are very accessible. The sunrises are simply spectacular as are the wonderful places in the area to explore along the Bold Coast. We have stayed in many VRBOs around the world and this was easily the best yet. We will be back!!

Drove out from WI for my first visit to the Maine coast. My friend, dog and I enjoyed a wonderful almost 2 weeks teleworking (and some exploring!) from Lupine Cottage. Everything was perfect - from the house and location to the hosts. Tom and Barbara were responsive and helpful, the cottage was perfectly provisioned, and we thoroughly enjoyed the area (even without Canada border open to go to Campobello). The cottage was cozy and welcoming, and mornings on the deck were spectacular! Everything I hoped from my stay on the Maine coast. Would love to stay here again and highly recommend Lupine Cottage.
