Terrible directions for getting into the house. Opening the gate was fine, but no instructions on where to find the key for the house. No mention that the house was 1/3 mile up a dirt path from the gate. Thermostat for front LR baseboard heaters was set on 50 degrees. Even so, the heaters came on to make the house uncomfortably warm. One night the heat reached about 80 degrees, so I turned the thermostat as low as I could to shut it off. Check out instruction called for thermostat to be set at 55 degrees. Ridiculous, and a waste of electricity. You need to provide better instructions.

The location very peaceful. Nice views.

The place is so outdated. It needs quit a bit of TLC. Lots of broken boards on deck with screws sticking up all over you couldn't walk on the deck at night fearing you would trip on screws. The TV never worked or the radio, we tried everything. You pay good money to stay here, it looks like they went to the thrift store to get dishes and silverware and the sofa and chair. Sorry just trying to give this place a better rating the best thing I can say it was very peaceful.

Location was great, wonderful view and very private. Enjoyed the hot tub on multiple occasions. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Linens/towels were very good.

There are some things in need of repair... the living room blinds don't all work correctly and likely need replacement. The dryer did not work... no heat. The overall cleaning could have been better... the patio window was dirty and there was quite a bit of dust on the kitchen chairs and TV stand.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Clark Homestead. The cabin has a very nice ambience, very private and quiet. It is perfectly situated to access prime fishing areas along the South Platte, as well as the convenience of gas and/or food so near by. The chance to see wildlife is also a pleasant perk.

This is just a personal preference but I think it would have been nice to internet access. I can certainly understand that it's always a good idea to get away from too much connectivity but I do use it for mapping as well. My phone is looking a little small these days and in planning for each day's fishing adventures (for which this property could not be better situated), it's useful to access online mapping, area reviews, YouTube recommendations of where to fish (or eat, etc.)

This is one of my favorite places. I've been going here for years. It never fails to please me or my family and we always enjoy our stay here.

There isn't much to dislike and if there is something, it surly wasn't enough to write about.

We liked that it was secluded and the loft area for the kids.

The only thing that was just slightly an issue was we were worried about all of the wildlife mentioned so since we didn’t get back to the cabin until the evening, we never got to enjoy the hot tub. Once again not the property’s fault, but just an inconvenience. Great place!
