Beautiful views, beautiful house

It’s a Very nice cabin to stay.From start to end we was enjoyed well.land lord was very helpful as well as Her husband. View was amazing .Everything was well stoked. We are recommended to stay this hidden gem people who love the nature. Thanks again

We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin. We really enjoyed the cozy, rustic cabin vibes and with great mountain views - it was rainy both nights we stayed which made it feel extra cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking dinner and breakfast. It was very clean and we felt very comfortable. Would definitely stay again if/when we visit the area again - hopefully we'll get drier weather if we come back so we can enjoy the deck, firepit and grill!

The hosts were great, and went above and beyond. The view and accomidations were amazing! Would recommend highly.

Great property for a kids ski weekend, very close to Black Mountain. Beautiful views, clean. Wish the master bed was a little bit more comfortable but overall a great experience.

Our family had such a wonderful stay at this cabin located on a beautiful farm for our ski vacation. The hosts were excellent, provided very thorough communication and even had fresh farm eggs and coffee (for purchase) at the cabin for our arrival that were delicious! Kitchen was perfectly equipped and we did all our meals in with our two small children. There was a significant snow storm during our stay and the owners were great at plowing and shoveling the property in timely fashion. We stayed warm and cozy throughout the storm! Hoping to stay again very soon!

We stayed at Hidden Gem last year and were so happy to return! It was every bit as wonderful as we remembered. Such a beautiful location, and very easy house to be in with our family - comfortable for kids and adults, both. Really appreciate the ease of our interactions, arrival, and stay.

Hands down one of the best places we’ve stayed. The cabin is lovely, the view is breathtaking, and the location is perfect.

The whole family loved the Christmas stay here. The whole place is extremely well equipped and nicely decorated. Clean throughout. Chairs, sofas, and beds are very comfortable. The location is quiet, scenery, and separated from the town but just minutes to shopping and restaurants.

This was a perfect weekend getaway. The scenery was beautiful. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners were very nice. What more could you ask for?

We were very pleased with our experience. The cabin was very clean and furnished beyond our expectations. It's a very quiet and secluded property not too far from town and lots of things to do in the area. Very peaceful place, exactly what we were looking for!

Josh and Amanda have an amazing place from which to explore all this beautiful state has to offer. The cabin is great! Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, towels and toiletries, laundry…everything you need. Walk the trails on the property and enjoy the view…or from the deck…it’s amazing, especially on a clear night. The fire pit and the bags set were a nice touch! We loved our stay , thanks Josh and Amanda!

This property was beautiful and a joy to stay at. My friends and I loved to sit out on the porch and watch the sunrise and sunset.

This was the perfect place for us. The cabin was well equipped with everything imaginable. We loved the mowed trails around the property, and enjoyed the wildlife. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the quiet solitude of a place in the country.

The cabin and the view were absolutely incredible! Right off of the main road, we felt like we were on a secluded farm! The hosts were wonderful and we enjoyed the farm store! Fresh baked biscuits and eggs for breakfast! Thank you, Amanda, for a wonderful home base for exploring western Maine!

I came to stay for hiking but left with a peace I didn’t think I would find. A day of occasional rain showers made for the best chill out and regroup day. The cabin, surroundings, and lovely hosts made my stay wonderful. The cabin is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with actual quality kitchenware. I hope to return for more experiences soon.

Wow! We sincerely LOVED our stay here. This cabin is located in the most gorgeous spot. We spent so much time on the back deck overlooking the town and enjoying the sounds of birds chirping all around us. The bedding was lush and the beds were so comfortable. We happily unpacked our items into the dressers and cabinets and settled into our 4 night stay. The cabin had every single thing you would need to make your stay feel like home and a place you want to return to over and over again. The kitchen was more than fully stocked with everything you could want or need. Plenty of towels and other linens, and so clean! Our kids (8 and 10) loved the games and books, but mostly loved the chickens, tree house and visiting Darwin (the dog) in the mornings when we stopped by the farm shop on site. We got farm fresh eggs, locally roasted coffee, and some homemade cookies from the farm shop our first day and it was all so delicious! Amanda and John were the best hosts! They were kind to lend ideas and helpful hints on things to do in the area and answer all of our questions. It was so relaxing and peaceful! It got to be over 90 degrees during our stay and the inside stayed a comfortable temperature. I would recommend this spot to ANYONE. Our family was so happy here and sincerely loved every part of our stay! Couldn't have been any happier with our choice to stay at this cabin, highly recommend this place.

Lovely home high a top a hill with panoramic views of a mountain range . The home is decorated well and quite cozy. The beds were very comfortable and the HDTV was a nice bonus. The grounds are spacious, nice & private, just the perfect place to exhale and relax. The owner Amanda is super accommodating and professional. We will definitely try to stay here again

We absolutely loved staying at Hidden Gem - wonderful location to ski at Black, wonderful view of the mountains and distant lights of downtown Rumford, and wonderful hosts! We were very comfortable, and will return to spend more time exploring the close by trails.

This is a wonderful, comfortable, peaceful cabin! Amanda and Josh are the best hosts! The cabin has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The views are breathtaking and the area stunning. We definitely will return!

We came back to Maine from Alaska to visit all of my husband’s family who mostly still live in Rumford. After a long red-eye from Seattle we were exhausted and Amanda got us checked in a little earlier! That one small thing was wonderful beyond measure. She and Josh are super cool and the farm is amazing! The chickens…I love chickens roaming about. It was so Nice to come back to each day. We had some family visit most days we were there. The cabin was roomy plenty for those short visits. The cabin is so comfortable and stocked with most everything you need. And if you forgot anything (food) Hannafords is about 5 mins away. There was a basket of fresh apples from their trees upon arrival. They were delicious. The place is spotless and well appointed! The Farm Store. Amanda tries to have it open Thursday-Sunday. We bought fresh baked English muffin bread, fresh eggs, and a bag of their own blend of coffee beans from Greenwood Bean roasters. Everything was awesome. The view. I took some great sunset shots and morning valley shots! It was magical! I can’t say enough how wonderful Amanda and Josh were during our visit. The gave us our privacy and yet they were right on top of any communication we had with them. This rental…the whole farm…is truly a labor of love for them. We will be coming back again for sure!

I had planned a quick getaway with a friend who ended up cancelling, so I took a solo retreat—the property is beautiful, and it was restorative to be in that natural beauty. House itself was spotless and well equipped. Hope to return with my partner!

If you are looking for a lovely view, comfortable, well appointed mountain cabin with homemade breads available at the farm stand, this is the perfect place for you. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. There are lots of great outdoor adventures nearby but we were so relaxed and cozy, we spent the weekend playing games and visiting. Thank you Amanda and Josh. We hope to return this winter for sledding.
