We loved our few days at this special spot. Wonderful location and spacious relaxing house with comfortable beds. We can’t wait to return.

Stayed at Pacific Retreat for 5 nights this winter and wished we could have stayed longer it was that relaxing. Amazing views from almost every window, the deck and perhaps most importantly, the hot tub. We picked this property for the water view and the privacy and we were not disappointed. We had every kind of weather from wind/rain/fog/bright sun/snow during our stay and the house was gorgeous and comfortable through all of them. Light and airy with lots of room for everyone to relax and come together. Possibly the best stocked kitchen of a vacation rental we've stayed at - ample and thoughtful kitchen supplies, pillows, towels, blankets and and all of good quality. The furniture is pleasantly rustic and comfortable, perfect for a beach stay with or without kids. Service from the Tofino Vacation Rental team was top notch, very responsive to any questions and requests we had. Also loved the Salt Spring Soaps hand/body soap and shampoo/conditioner - spa quality and definitely added to the stay - an earlier review mentioned there was no soap/toiletries provided but that has since been rectified. The views and private location near Tonquin Beach and hiking trails and an easy walk into town can't be beat.

We were blown away by this place. The views were spectacular, fantastic location close to town, and two bald eagles visiting every morning in the trees on the property. We will definitely be back!!!

We were showing off BC to our European friends and they were very impressed with this place, especially because of the view and the display that the orcas put on one night. The only negative is that there is no music. Lots of German CDs but nothing else. Perhaps music channels on the cable might be a nice addition?

My family usually walks away with a list of things that didn't work well at the vacation homes we rent, but this house met all of our expectations and then some! We'll be back.

Our stay was effortless. The house was very spacious and comfortable and the location and views were amazing!

This was an excellent place to stay in Tofino. The house is very open and airy. You can't beat the location it as it is in walking distance to the town, yet the house itself is private and has these large windows looking out onto the water that hold your attention. Kitchen is large and very well equipped. It has an expansive deck with a hot tub. During our stay there was a rare Tofino snow storm. The power went out and the roads took time to clear. We were contacted by our host and they extended our check out time to allow for safe departure and were willing to support us staying another night if it wasn't safe to leave. Would definitely recommend!

It was perfect. Beautifully situated for storm watching and eagle gazing. Lovely walk into town. And close to beach park. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen. We made shortbread and prime rib dinner with Yorkshire pudding. We’ll be back for sure. Bit tough to find in the dark. Just need to get there earlier to enjoy longer. Wish check out was a tad later

My wife and I had a great time.

From the moment you walk into the property your mouth drops from the view. The bedrooms we large with comfy beds and lovely linens. The kitchen was well equipped with all the dishes you could possibly need but perhaps a better selection of baking pans could be useful. The deck was massive with a view of the sunset every night. The hot tub was a huge bonus which we loved. No beach access from the property but with so many amazing beaches in Tofino it didn’t matter to our family. Overall we loved this place and we will go back for sure!! I do want to point out a few deficiencies which would be why I didn’t give it a 5 overall rating. Kitchen: Stove was old and not easy to figure out even with the directions. Fridge not hooked up to water so ice machine and water dispenser does not work. The oven was very difficult to understand and smoked terribly when we turned it on. The house is a bit tired. Old counter tops, showers and tub and a couple of the bedroom windows (master) we in desperate need of repair. I have not used VRBO much in the past so I am wondering if it is common not to provide hand soap, shampoo or conditioner in the bathrooms. The hand soap at a minimum would have been nice. Shower curtain in bathroom on main floor needs to be replaced. For a 3 night stay in storm season, one bundle of wood was insufficient and it cost $60 to buy 4 bundles at the gas station as recommended. One bundle per night stay would have been perfect All of things are small issues that we were able to sort out and would not deter us from staying again. The final note… My husbands mother had passed away 4 days prior to our trip. Our host had left a bottle of wine and a card with condolences. Unfortunately the card was signed “Tofino Vacation Rental” (TVR) so we never knew who our host was in order to thank them personally for their kindness. We appreciated your home very much and wanted to thank you personally. I hope you find this review helpful.

Really loved the stay here. The hot tub is magnificent. Communications were very clear. Be aware that check in is pretty late at 5pm and check out is at 10am. Other than that, the stay was perfect.

You can't beat the location for quiet and ocean vista. The property itself was clean, beds comfortable, and had most basic provisions.

As other reviewers have described this is a unique property. The views from the home/decks are incredible. The house is nice but could use some TLC. A lot of wear and tear from being a rental but in summary the location and functionality makes it work. I would recommend at least one of the big sliders to the deck be outfitted with a screen door. The mosquitos were pretty bad.

The property is lovely. Amazing views, responsive owners and a ten minute walk into town. Be aware there is only one taxi in Tofino, apart from an expensive airport shuttle, so better to bring or hire a car. Highly recommend this property.

Due to renovations, we were bumped to Waters Edge, which was absolutely incredible!

We had a great stay at this property.

We got switched to another property due to construction which was completely ok with us. However it was a duplex. Luckily they were only home the final night of our visit. They were very loud and kids crying until midnight. I walked out of the shower and buddy was outside my window washing his car ( lucky him). We will still recommend this place because of the beautiful view but we would never have switched if we knew it was a shared property. We came here specifically to get away from this.

We were absolutely impressed with this property. The bedrooms and baths were perfect for our group of three couples. We spent as much time as we could on the deck...it was very impressive. We were in Tofino for a niece's wedding and could have hosted the wedding on our deck it was so large. The kitchen was well equipped and we even had a nice selection of music to play. We all agreed we would return to this property with our kids and grandkids for a super holiday.

Huge deck with amazing views and tons of space inside so all 3 couples had their own bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable beds, a hot tub and fully function kitchen (and BBQ on the deck) made this a truly excellent weekend. Monse is extremely responsive in all communications. Location is also hard to beat...property is set in off the main road for privacy but is still only 15 minute walk and you are right downtown. Tonquin Beach trail is also just around the corner. THANKS Monse for a great visit!

Wonderful up close and personal view of the west coast waves rolling in and eagles flying overhead. This rental has a lovely location that is an easy 10 min walk into town (or 1 min drive) when you aren't on the deck or in the hot tub enjoying the sea breezes. Very clean, somewhat spare (bring your slippers, even in July). Space is currently listed as 3 bedrooms but has 4 bedrooms. Kitchen has all the hardware and then some that you might need. You really feel as though you are tucked away on a cliffside, yet so close to town!

Really close to the new network of trails at Tonquin Beach, to enjoy an amazing sunset!, Hot tub was great for relaxing after our long hikes. You will find everything you want and more at this 🏠

My family and I cannot thank you enough for opening your home for others to enjoy! We were so fortunate to have been able to stay at The Pacific Retreat! We came to Tofino to celebrate my sisters wedding and my family was in awe of our luck!!! The sunsets were breathtaking and my children loved exploring the rocks! The walk into town was beautiful and easy--a great location for views, exploring Tonquin beach and trails, as well as a little playground down the street! The house is fully stocked with a functional kitchen, loads of games, super comfy beds, lots of towels, washer/dryer, and relaxing hot tub. Couldn't ask for anything more! Looking forward to coming back :D

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pacific Retreat. We were 5 adults on a family reunion and could not have chosen a better spot. Although the forecast was for rain, we enjoyed sunny skies throughout our stay. The view from all the rooms and particularly the balcony, was breath-taking! In fact, we spent most of our time on the expansive balcony when we were at the house. The house is conveniently located close to town and with easy access to the hiking path to Toquin Beach. With the surrounding vegetation, it is extremely private and you do not see any neighbors, just the magnificent view. The house was well furnished with comfortable leather couches, a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry room. The bedrooms were all a good size. If you are sensitive to light, please note that 2 of the 4 bedrooms have skylights in the ceiling, so do suggest packing some night shades as it does get bright early. I would highly recommend this rental; such a perfect spot is hard to beat!

We had an amazing time. I don't think we could have asked for a more amazing location and stunning home. Our party of 6 had tons of room and each couple had their own bathroom. This house would comfortably host 8 guests. The gorgeous deck with ocean views was a highlight. Also loved the hot tub. Exploring the tide pools in the rocks below the house was also very fun. Would recommend this home to anyone wanting a beautiful spot close to Tofino. It was a short walk into town. The only thing that would have made the place better would have been a set of binoculars and more recycling options. Currently only refundable cans and bottles are accepted but it would be nice if all cardboard and eligible plastic was also accepted.

Property is as pictured. Simply stunning and wonderfully set up. Between the ocean views, the eagles and hot tub, we never wanted to leave! Will be back for sure! Jessica

The views were breath taking and the fully equipped kitchen was very helpful. We came in late and it was nice to have a tea and not worry about leaving to go out and grab anything. Loved how spacious and how much natural light came into the house. Would definitely recommend. Short drive into town and the hot tub was worth it!
