Good location right in the town. Very convenient for bars and restaurants. Friendly staff that can speak English if required. The staff can arrange excursions for you.

Partitions/walls between rooms are very thin and all noises/talking etc are plainly heard. None of the rooms offer a view of any sort.

This has to be one my my favourite places I’ve stayed in Colombia. The room is comfortable and tastefully decorated, the shared bathroom was kept immaculately clean and the staff were friendly. They’ve got a lovely terrace out the back with beautiful views of the sunset and the valley. Would stay here again if i was in Filandia again.

La Puesta del Sol is a wonderful place to stay in a perfect location run by the most kind and accommodating family. The accommodations, the hospitality, and the views were all amazing. If you are traveling to Filandia, this is a great place to stay. Felipe and Hugo helped us with transportation from Pereira and then on to our next destination. They also helped us arrange a hike to see howler monkeys and a tour of a local coffee farm, and they gave us some great restaurant recommendations. We stayed in the room above the reception area. It was perfect for our family (two adults and two kids) - the room was spacious, very comfortable, and had incredible views. We had the best time in Filandia, and staying at La Puesta del Sol was a big part of that. We will definitely stay here again, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Filandia.

We loved the garden and the view, sitting watching sunset or the stars. it is very well located in Filandia next to good restaurants. The design and details are brilliant. We appreciated the airport pickup and drop off, Felipe is a great driver and it’s very safe in comparison to other options. Our hosts were great with us, they gave us great restaurant recommendations and useful advice for sightseeing and arranged a local Finca your for us!

It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t use the kitchen before 8am or after 8pm, this is made tricky because breakfast options in town are limited. it would be great to have a kettle or hairdryer in the room. internet was down for a day too.

They keep improving the place, now with actual hot water (gas heater), large table in the room (also good for working) and generally revamped terrace and common areas. Super!

Unfortunately due to a brief conjuncture they're not able to provide breakfast these days, but it will be back!

Clean room, nice bed, good breakfast and amazing view. Felipe and his dad run a great place in Filandia. communication is perfect by bookings and/or WhatsApp. If you visit Filandia, which you should, this is the place to stay.

The location is perfect, the host speaks in english well and he was helpful to us. He recommended us some local restaurants, and tried to find us coffee tour in english nearby. We could enjoy the sunset drinking beers from the balcony, it was gorgeous!!:) the room was clean and pretty authentic with colourful furniture.

The location, the view, the facilities (we had 2 rooms with shared bathroom and 1 with own bathroom), the breakfast, the staff, the hotel itself is so beautiful and there are common spaces as well as room to work in a nice atmosphere

Beautiful outdoor area with incredible views! The staff was super helpful. I had an infected bug bite and he suggested that he call a doctor to do a house visit to make sure my bite didn’t get worse and ruin my trip. The doc was great and definitely saved the last week of our trip.

The room was beautiful, just a bit small if you are two people with 2 suitcases. We had to jump over each other and the suitcases to move around. But that wasn’t a big deal because we didn’t spend much time in the room.

Very nice stay! So well decorated with a lot of taste. Perfect location close to the restaurant Helena and in the center of the old town. Marvelous view. Very nice host which is very helpful (especially if you forget something of personal value :) We enjoyed very much!

Everything was perfect

This is a new-ish place set-up and run by a lovely family. The view from the back is incredible and that is enough of a reason to stay on its own. The rooms are cabin style so a little small but fine for a few nights with plenty of blankets provided to stay warm. There was a great breakfast (again with the view!) and helpful restaurant suggestions and other things to do. My room was adjacent to the road on one side but I found it to be really quiet and it's seconds from the main street and all the town has to offer. I wanted to stay longer but they were full but I'd definitely stay again if I find myself back in Filandia (a town I really liked)

It would be good to have access to the kitchen/seating area when the owners are out - as an optional area to sit in when it's cold rather than needing to use the kitchen.

A very charming and quirky property, with eclectic decor and unique building design. The view is amazing, even on a a cloudy, sunset-less day. Lots of sweet places to sit outside and the lobby is cozy with books and cats. The owners are super kind, speak multiple languages and were attentive and informative. The rooms are simple, with comfy beds, nice sheets and extra blankets. We loved all the small lights for ambiance. The breakfast (a cheese omlette, fruit, bread) was one of the best we've had in Colombia and the coffee was strong and delicious. The location is EXCELLENT: located on the periphery of the town: it was quiet yet still accessible by foot to everything. Also steps away from really great restaurants & cocktail bars (Helena & Tuk Tuk stand out). We hope to visit again one day.

Only street parking is available, however, Felipe helped us secure a great spot in front of the property :) The walls are quite thin, so we hear others in the neighbouring rooms and the bathroom.

Beautifully appointed and creatively styled little cabin rooms in a central part of town. Loved the quirky details and decor Easy walk to all the sights in town. AMAZING VIEW from the breakfast table, photos don't do it justice. The friendly owners were helpful with recommendations and made a delicious and varied breakfast. Highly recommend Filandia over Salento... if you are hesitating, don't!!

Not a huge deal, but there is no parking on site. We arrived during an incredibly busy afternoon in town, so street parking was tougher than usual, but still possible. Would have been great to have access to a water cooler or filter tap to be able to fill up a glass or bottle at any hour.
