Everything!!! It was perfect, the staff is awesome, friendly, helpful, i will recommend this place 100% and will surely be back

In the 5 weeks I've been travelling across central America, Tapihouse was the best place I stayed! Super clean, lovely breakfast (they also accommodated my veganism) and in a fantastic location. It's minutes away from the restaurants and beach but Tapihouse is so quiet and relaxed that you wouldn't believe it's so close to all the entertainment. Also, the rooms have good facilities such as multiple towels (including face towels), a full length mirror, AC, etc. and they're nice and dark too at night! However, what really made my stay were the owners. Rafa and his girlfriend are so kind, and their dogs are great. Rafa in particular helped with restaurant recommendations as well as organising a taxi so I could continue my journey on to Costa Rica, even seeing me off at 6am despite not needing to! I'll definitely miss staying here.

Everything was great. Centrally located, comfy private room with AC, delicious included breakfast and the Spanish owner was very kind.

The rooms don’t have windows and made me feel a bit claustrophobic There is only one small mirror in the bathroom which as I’m 5ft 8in I had to bend down to see in it as it’s set quite lowdown Suggest the owners put in a full length mirror in the room as there is a wall which could take one

I spent almost two weeks at Rafa's place. I enjoyed it for many different reasons (the location, AC, free breakfast, comfortable beds, super clean room, no credit card fees), but what made my stay so amazing was the hospitality from Rafa and his girlfriend. They truly understand how to treat a guest in your house. If I ever come back to San Juan, this will be my home again. I hope it never changes!

Staff were wonderful, Rafa was very accomodating and the ladies who prepared breakfast (yum) were very friendly! Location was great, close to the main part of town (3-4 min walk) but not right in the hustle and bustle. Air conditioning in the rooms was great and a must, it is super hot in SJDS.

We loved our 1-night stay at Tapihouse. It's very central and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The free breakfast was immense, the nicest we have had in Central America! It set us uk for most of the day. The staff Rafa was incredibly kind and helpful! He was so nice and attentive and made everyone feel really welcome.

A bit pricy, but included breakfast.

- For San Juan a relatively quiet place. There was loud music during the day, but never at night - Breakfast, however limited, included - Owner was very helpful over the app, however not present so we were helped by another guest which was a bit weird? The other guy walking around was a bit grumpy.

- All the rooms face the hallway, making it very noisy when other quests walk around. - No window, just a wooden shutter which you couldn't open without anyone looking in - Breakfast only possible from 8 am - Patio not really charming, the whole hotel is a bit disappointing - Bathroom really big step up and cold water - Really to expensive for what you get

clean and tidy, the staff were all really friendly and lovely and very helpful, the breakfasts were fab! nice for couples/older travellers wanting somewhere more chilled! we ended up forgetting something at the hostel and Rafa kindly travelled to meet us to return it which was very kind!!!

We had a great stay at Tapihouse. The location is perfect! Close to the restaurants and beach but in a nice quiet street. The hosts Rafa and Sori are amazing! So helpful and friendly, feels like family. The breakfast is very good and if you’re lucky Rafa will make his famous paella for diner! The airco in the room is nice and communal area and kitchen are well equipped and clean.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The owners were incredibly nice, accommodating and attentive. If we had any questions or concerns, they were very quick to respond. The location is at the back end of the Main Street that takes you to the beach and bars but quiet enough to sleep. Breakfast was freshly made every morning as well. highly recommend!

Phenomenal breakfast & very convenient location. Good value.

No hot water (but that was expected)

- Rafa, the host, was super nice and helpful (arranged transfer to Rivas, made breakfast to go as I was leaving early) and made me welcome instantly - spacious and clean room with a/c (no window which I didn’t mind, but some people do) - central and safe location

- no curfew for the common areas, so you could hear people talking the whole night in your room - price service ratio

Great location, clean, everything you need, great traditional breakfast and the staff were incredibly friendly.
