The property was clean and comfortable. I did think that it was closer to town and within walking distance. Overall it was a great stay!

A special Suite which includes kitchen, two coffee machines, and even a record player ! Everything was nice and clean.

They didn’t mention that the suite is in the second floor with very stif stairs, which was a problem to for me to climb. Also the tub is very high and very difficult to get in. If i would have known that facts in advance - i would choose another place! Also there were no staff at all, not even for check-in or out. The place is expensive.

It was a cool place, the modern fixtures are very pleasing to the eye but not having shelf space in the bathroom got old very quickly. The bed is comfortable and we slept well.

The location, it's to far from town, we prefer to leave the car parked and walk wherever we can. We found the road back after dark has some dark areas at night. It's not the hotels fault but we did find it unsettling. If you don't mind taking the car and having to find parking in town this shouldn't be a problem at all.

a great boutique experience. Only a 10-min walk to the center of town. didn’t feel crowded at all - we barely saw any other customers while we were there. we sat outside and read or used the hot tub at our leisure.The room had so many cute extras- a record player and some vintage albums; lots of books and games; and lots of eco-friendly and/or local products. We could always reach the owner (manager?) via the chat on the in-room iPad, which also had info about the facilities and the area. And when chatting, the owner would make a rec about where to eat, unsolicited. Also loved the Commune “shop” on the property, where you could pick up and pay for a snack or some deodorant or CBD 24/7. A lot of attention to the fun details!

Our suite, the Franklin Flat, was really cute, but the outer room was pretty tight when the sofa bed was open. It was still fully functional- kitchenette was usable and you could sit at the counter to eat, but If we had been there more than two nights it might have gotten a little hard for our family of 4 to be civil. The rest of the space (bedroom, bathroom, closet) was otherwise more than ample. The only other drawback was that the only ceiling A/C unit was in the bedroom and didn’t reach the outer room as well, so we had to keep it pretty cold in the bedroom in order for our kids to be comfortable in the other room. But we just threw on another blanket!

I absolutely loved every part of our stay. The backyard is magical. The shower fantastic and the open decor of the Mitchell Manor was truly whimsical and catered to the needs of the people staying. I truly appreciate this place and will definitely be returning for my future Woodstock visits to come. Thank you for such a beautiful place that you share with us. I had the pleasure of staying at this chic Inn during my wedding weekend. We had a great stay. Each room is unique and beautifully decorated, yet overall vibe of the property is welcoming and unpretentious. Adam, one of the owners, was incredibly helpful both leading up to and during our stay. Because there aren't a ton of hotel options in Woodstock, I had the opportunity to see where other guests were staying for the weekend and I can confidently say that the Herwood Inn is the best in terms of value and location.

Beautifully decorated rooms and extremely clean. Quiet location, but close enough to town to walk. The hot tub was very clean as well and a nice treat in very cold temps. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend for a weekend getaway.
