Context: We have had a twelve night stay at villa Rosana in august 2023. Upon arrival we were met with great flexibility from Ian and Megan and had a smooth key delivery on location. This villa has everything you would need during a stay close to Malaga. In comparison with others we feel you're getting good value in Rosana especially compared to typical Spanish living standards. A drive to Torre del Mar is only 25 minutes and lends itself for activities and great dining. Waiters there generally weren't stingy with the booze either. Whilst the villa itself offers plenty of cooking facilities (and over time includes unexpected necessities you easily forget to buy) at least a mix of eating in/out is absolutely advisable. The villa offers also a gas BBQ outside which is decent and was nice and clean. The living room as well as both bed rooms have a proper air conditioning system installed which seem to be clean. Overall we've enjoyed quiet and cool nights at Rosana. There is also a hyper market located just before Torre del Mar which can provide anything you could need from electronics, groceries to a food court and a variety of stores such as H&M. We typically prefer local shopping but opening hours during the day do fluctuate depending on season. There are plenty of places worth visiting within a 1 hour drive making most days of our stay pleasant and easy going without a ton of travel. When we were traveling though the main roads in Spain are of surprisingly good quality. This villa is located on top of a mountain with a steep road up. As with many places in mountainous parts of Spain you will need a car to get there and mostly anywhere if your not a cardio fanatic. You can park on the side of the property which is fenced off and a pad lock is provided. There was pool maintenance done every few days.

Only minor details really. The overall maintenance could be improved upon as you do notice that it has served as a great holiday home for some years now. This is mostly noticeable in things like the weathered sun beds and the roof built in the garden to have some shade which is due for a replacement. The bed in the master bedroom could have been wider. 140cm isn't exactly freedom for north western Europeans ;-). Upstairs there is a room not accessible for guests where a nasty smell originated. We suspected some siphons standing dry as our stay was in peak summer with temperatures of > 36 celsius and nobody accessing that room during our stay.
