From the very start the hosts were so helpful. The property sits behind electric gates that open with a code they give you. Large garden with an area left wild for butterflies and insects etc, but away from the house in case that’s not your thing. The room was very spacious, bathroom too, with a modern shower. Everything was very clean, water and wine were left out for us and and there was coffee and tea facilities Breakfast was huge, and varied. I borrowed the bikes provided and a short cycle to a gorgeous park ( photos are of that ) with swimming lake, very nearby, and then into Bergerac itself with its old town and loads of restaurants and bars. There is an indoor pool too with towels provided, which I enjoyed, loved my stay there and was sorry to leave.

Nothing, (just remember that there is a spiral staircase to the two bedrooms on first floor, so if you can’t do stairs make sure to ask for the downstairs room. ) I’m fine with stairs so that wasn’t a problem at all from my perspective.

Location was great for a peaceful getaway. Close enough to Bergerac centre to cycle in, or a very short drive. Sandra and Carsten were very attentive when needed and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, also recommending places to visit and restaurants/shops. The breakfasts were plentiful with lots of choices on offer. Our room had a small outside space to unwind with a glass or two from the bottle of wine to welcome us after a day exploring Bergerac. The indoor pool was a lovely treat with towels provided. We very much appreciated the tranquility of the place and the caring hospitality of our hosts.

This has to be one of the most welcoming and accommodating places I have ever stayed. The German owners, Sandra and Karsten, cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The standard room upstairs has a lovely view, bathroom, air con, and a firm but comfy mattress. The breakfast was delicious with many choices. See attached photos. The indoor pool is done beautifully with patio doors overlooking the garden, and as there are only three rooms it is quiet. They gave excellent recommendations for the two nights I ate locally, and booked them for me. Lastly, I am travelling through France and Spain on my motorbike. I was able to store the bike in their shed, and Karsten was keen to help with my route down to Carcassonne and through the Pyrenees. I cannot recommend Maisonette Aubergerec enough, and will definitely stay again… with my wife next time.

Everything was perfect, from when we booked, to when we departed. The couple are charming. Once I’d booked, the host lady contacted me to let me know that we would be staying over 14th July and asked if she could book us a table for dinner. We said yes and we were not disappointed. Actually she got us table reservations for both nights of our stay. Both restaurants were lovely. We said we wanted to do some wine tasting during our stay and both gave us really good recommendations. Breakfast was something else too. So ample, with fresh produce made by the couple, it was truly delicious. We would heartily recommend this property. Go on stay, you will be truly glad, you did.
