Loved the property and the host. Had everything we needed and more!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sheri’s home. She literally had everything you would ever need and her co hosts are just a phone call away. The home is super close to everywhere we needed to be. I highly recommend Sheri’s home if you’re looking for a place to stay in Kona!

Where to begin….This house is by far the most well equipped place to stay we have ever experienced! Everything you will need to not only cook but spices, utensils, bbq, with several extra tanks of fuel. The laundry is fantastic, detergent, dryer sheets the list goes on. Plenty of paper towels, beach towels ect. Wait there’s more! No need to rent beach chairs, boogie boards umbrellas or snorkeling gear it’s already here stowed nicely and in perfect repair! We will be back next year and we will not shop around. This is the place to stay!! Loved it and the owners! so perfect!!!

Everything about this B&B was perfect. The owners should teach at B&B School. Very attractive, super comfortable, and extremely well supplied. Everything we needed (and more) was provided, from kitchen to rooms, and amenities for beach play. Bravo!! Mahalo.

driveway on to Palani rd is not fun nor is the carport

This was a fabulous place to stay, great for our mixed group of family & friends! Everything as advertised, plus some nice extra touches, like all of the beach gear available for use! We had a great time, and it was a fantastic location for exploring the island.

Sheri and Gary were great at communicating with us and stocked the home with with everything we could need! Their snorkel gear and beach chairs saved us the rental fees, and we enjoyed having dinner on the patio. The short drive to Kailua-Kona made it convenient to go shopping and eat out. We LOVED our first trip to the Big Island and our experience at the house was a significant part of it.

We enjoyed our stay and the access to the road well-traveled. The road outside the house is very busy, but that particular road was an easy access to places we wanted to go. The house was very clean and well-equipped. Before we chose this house to rent, we had read that some rentals were did not provide some of the necessities for living and we would have to purchase everything, This house provided quite a lot, including condiments in the refrigerator, T.P., paper towels and lots of regular towels for going to the ocean. We especially enjoyed our talking to and communication with the owner of the house.

Great family place with lots of amenities. Clean with comfortable beds, super patio, lots of beach gear, and well stocked kitchen. It is on a busy road and is a two rental residence property.

Everything was perfect. When we went in, it was like being at home, all supplies were there. Communication with host was easy. They were able to help us with all the questions we had about the area and local attractions. One of the best features was the location, because it was just a short drive from house to where we wanted to go. When we return to Kona, we will try to stay at same location.

5 of us stayed here for 11 days in February. This is a great little property. They supply EVERYTHING you will need-all kitchen ware, all beach supplies, everything! They even ended up having an air mattress for us. Property was clean, the owners were easy to contact when we accidentally got locked out. Everything was great. The only downside is that it is on a very busy road that can be loud in the evening.

The place was clean and had many amenities. Good for a small group of 6. Was easy to get in and out of the parking driveway if you’re a decent driver. Would stay again next time I am in Kona. The touches Sheri puts on the property shows she really cares about making your stay great

The property is a little older but well maintained. Not hardly worth mentioning. It is as well appointed as any place I have ever rented. The location is perfect for what we wanted. the only drawback is that there is no outside view to give a feel of expansiveness to the property.

Two of us in the group stayed at the home last year and were glad it was available again this year as we greatly enjoyed staying there and we’re looking forward to evening’s on the patio. The new members of the group also enjoyed the stay.

Our son and his family stayed about a week on the Kona side. They loved the house. Great location near Kona and other activities on the west side. Parking is a little hairy but owners communicated well and the staff greeting us were wonderful.

Could not ask for more. Only drawback was driveway on busy road

The 4 of us stayed for a week and we had everything we needed. The house is not too far from town. Great place to stay and I would recommend if you do not want to be downtown.

The hosts were very gracious and accommodating to last minute surprises with our stay. They have all the beach equipment anyone could ask for available. They made great suggestions for family activities we truly enjoyed. The road outside the house is busy and there is some road noise but we were constantly on the go so it wasn’t a big issue for us. We would definitely stay again when (not if) we return!

As the previous posts have mentioned, Sheri and Gary were great hosts and the house was perfect for our needs. Just up the hill from town and centrally located for day trips. Plenty of snorkel stuff and beach gear for a full house. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I spent 10 days at the Palani Hale. It was a perfect place to call our home away from home. 15 mins from the airport and 10 mins to the town of Kona. It is perfectly situated for a day trip to the north or south end of the island. Everything you could possibly need was there from kitchen and bathroom amenities, laundry, and everything you can think of for a day at the beach! Toys, games, and even movies were available too! The outdoor patio area was an excellent area to relax after a long day of adventuring the Big Island. We never did use the outdoor BBQ but it was nicely prepared with utensils. We would definitely stay again at the Palani Hale. Sheri was great at communicating throughout the trip and always available if we had questions. They live on the property but are very respectful of your space. The main road is a little busy during the day but quiets down in the evening. Highly recommend this VRBO for large families or groups.

It was wonderful to have a house to come home to at the end of the day and just relax outside playing games in the evening. We had the use of a washer, dryer, and full kitchen. Was charged $100.00 for the use of air conditioning, but never needed to turn the air conditioner on. It would be nice to have this as an option.

Sheri and Gary are amazing hosts and their house was perfect for our vacation. Plenty of space, 10 minutes from restaurants and beaches, all the beach toys you could want, and thoughtful touches throughout. Would 100% recommend staying here.
