This house is set up for family fun. We loved the basement with all the gaming , the air hockey table, mini pool table , and arcade games. There is a basketball goal out back and a hot tub we all enjoyed. The dock is great for swimming and fishing . We rented a boat nearby and enjoyed the beauty of the lake. The house is updated , clean , and well stocked. We will be back !

I truly can not say enough good and wonderful things about this trip!!! We were truly astonished at how beautiful the house is. The master bedroom is truly something to behold. Incredibly clean, well-stocked and communicative and flexible with us as guests—I can not recommend highly enough! House was large enough for seventeen of us to stay comfortably including four small kids.

Wow! The home, property, dock and lake were incredible! Our family of 14 had our best ever annual family gathering. It was a Perfect four night stay.
It was unanimous, we all want to come back next summer.
Owner is friendly and goes out of his way to make sure everything is great and makes you feel like it is your home for your stay!
Travis the maintenance fellow is likewise awesome. We thought we had a problem night one with the frig and he was ready to replace it. We told him, we will wait until morning and see if it was just our loading it up—it was. No problems after it caught up.

Fantastic property in a quiet area yet still close enough to downtown. Kids had an excellent time on the dock, in the swing, and on the kayaks exploring. Rented boats a couple days via Boatsetter and went tubing down the Saluda River. Downstairs kept the kids occupied while the adults enjoyed drinks upstairs. Really couldn't ask for more...a great multi-family summer vacation!

We had a fantastic Birthday weekend / men’s group retreat at this beautiful 5-acre lakefront private retreat. The house was perfect for our group of 6, with spacious accommodations and a well-equipped kitchen that made meal preparation easy.
The primary suite on the top floor was huge, and the lower level offered endless entertainment with the game room, including arcade games, foosball, air hockey, bumper pool, and board games. We enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks, and we brought our SeaDoo to the private dock. The secluded setting was ideal for relaxation. We saw many Herons in the private cove.
Overall, this retreat exceeded our expectations. It’s well-maintained, beautifully renovated, and offers all the comforts of home in a stunning lakefront setting. Highly recommended for any group looking for a perfect getaway. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Home and property are beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Indoor had ample space for everyone to spread out. Kitchen is well stocked with essential equipment and spices. We celebrated our grandsons birthday with the WHOLE family and had a wonderful time. thank you for sharing your wonderful space with us!

This vacation home was fabulous for our family to celebrate our Christmas together. The huge kitchen was such a blessing to prepare large meals and for everyone to help out. They got the extra trash cans that someone recommended. They take suggestions seriously and they really care about their guests.

This house was the perfect getaway for 4 extended families to gather and watch the Clemson game together.
Spacious house, perfectly appointed (kitchen, lake gear, game room, bathroom linens etc) we didn’t go wanting for a thing.
We had a question about the Garbage disposal and our host was immediately available and helpful to answer all questions.

The pictures don’t do it justice! It is a clean & modern escape on a very secluded plot of land. We enjoyed our privacy but also the closeness to restaurants, grocery stores, golf courses, & the like. There were 13 of us & we were all more than comfortable. Truly the perfect getaway. This property is everything we could have hoped it would be ... a well stocked gourmet kitchen, 3 separate "living" areas, both indoor and back porch dining, lake views and breezes ... not to mention 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms gave everyone plenty of room to relax and do their own thing.
AND THE LAKE ... we brought our boat and took it out twice, but one day everyone just relaxed on the dock, swimming and floating the day away.
The hosts here have thought of everything. The entire family is ready to book again!

Plenty of room for a large crowd! Lay out was perfect! Walk to dock was a bit steep if you have elderly or unsteady people but otherwise not a problem for most. Beds were very comfy. Location was very close to stores and restaurants. Owners very quick to respond to messages. I would definitely stay here again!

I found this home on VRBO when planning my bachelorette weekend with my girlfriends. It did not disappoint! The house itself is beautiful and was very clean when we arrived. John and Sari were absolutely wonderful to work with. Great with responding and very flexible with us checking in a little early which was very nice of them! Such a pleasant couple, and we had the most amazing weekend!

We rented this house for our family for Clemson graduation weekend and it was perfect. Its a 20 minute drive to campus. The house is so nicely decorated and we appreciated the extra Clemson touches! We had so much room and the bedroom and bathroom configuration worked perfectly for our group. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed so making meals was easy. We enjoyed the dock and swimming in the lake too!

What a perfect house for our family of 13 - ages 1-86. We found everything about the house and hosts to be exceptional. The convenience from the interstate was a big help for us - yet anything else you might need was still close enough to be accessible. We loved the setting, privacy and even the driveway!

We loved the house and had the best 3 nights there. The house is spacious with great bedrooms/bathrooms. Love that there are several different gathering areas inside the home as well as the porch, deck/hot tub and dock outside of the home. The kitchen had everything we needed to serve meals and we loved and made great use of the speaker system all throughout the house. We wish the house was a tad closer to Clemson's campus but would definitely rent it again!

We stayed in this home for the Bassmaster High School National Championship. The home was amazing 5 bed 5 connected bath to each room. The common room and the kitchen were great. The home did come with an amazing access to the lake via great dock. We loved everything about the home the only issue was I couldn't get my bass boat and big truck backed to the home. We were able to leave it in at the dock and there was good power. I knew going in that it might be tight for truck and trailer. The home was nothing short of amazing and I would stay in an instant any time I came back to Hartwell.
