We had a fantastic time in Hope Bay. As soon as we arrived, it felt like home. The residence was perfect for a relaxing stay with a nearby beach to chill at. It is also centrally located on the peninsula which allowed us to travel around and see the many sights on the Bruce. 5 Stars!

This was our second year staying at this lovely home in the most beautiful spot in Ontario - IMO. The small private beach is perfect for my under 10yr old grandchildren, and me if I'm honest. The back yard of the property is the perfect size for setting up a game of ladder ball or a game of catch or roasting marshmallows over the fire. The host is fantastic. We have decided to make this trip annually for as long as it's available❤️

Had a great time in Hope Bay. Starting with the cottage. Very good and clean with all the things you need for your stay. I didn't care much for the bed. It wasnt very comfortable and the pillows were not great. My brother and law felt the same for his bedroom. I also found on the upstairs very warm on a couple of nights. That said, there were a lot of fans and ceiling fans you can use to keep the upstairs cool. The yard needed a cut as there was a lot of rain before we arrived. I messaged Chris about it and they were prompt to respond, but their landscaper didn't show up until Thursday so good thing we didn't wait. All good, the boys and i cut it relatively quick with the available mower in the shed. We enjoyed sitting on the patio for dinner (nice shade at dinner time) and campfires at night. All in all, the upsides certainly out weighed a couple small issues for me. The area itself is amazing. Lots of options for biking, hiking and the beach was incredible. The beach was like something from the Caribbean with the soft sands that went on forever. The water was very cool, but you get used to it and the children seemed to shrug it off. It is very shallow so very safe for little ones. Sauble is a 30 minute drive if you don't mind the crowds for warmer water... The location is great also as its not too far to Tobermory for sightseeing, or Wiarton, or Lion's Head for groceries more hiking or for treating yourself to a nice restaurant.

My family of 7 stayed here for 4 nights. The place itself is amazing, lots of space, very cozy and very comfortably slept 7 with extra blankets for those who wanted to sleep on the couch instead of share a bed with a sibling. The beach that is 2 minutes away is probably the best one around with it’s crystal clear water and the kids can play with little to no danger since the water is knee high for the first 25 yards and very slowly deepens as you walk out further. Otherwise it is located close to all the major attractions in the area. Communications with the owner were also easy, and answers were always very timely. I would come back here without hesitation, and would recommend the place to anyone.

Wonderfully appointed vacation home that can accommodate large groups. Excellent chef's kitchen that allows several to assist in its space. Spacious backyard that can accommodate cornhole boards and badminton net. Ample parking for several cars and large storage shed for any beach chairs/umbrella you bring. Rear deck is expansive allowing large groups to sit outdoors. Overall great spot that just needs a few touch-ups here and there.

A lovely spot in Hope Bay with a quick and easy walk to the water and store with ice cream! Cottage is clean and well equipped, offering front and back porch space to hang out in sun or shade.

The place was quiet but closed to beaches(sauble beach 30min) and nice trail (grotto 45min). The house is well adapted for family and the host provides a lot of useful information and was really responsive. There is a small beach on the bay very closed to the house with nice sunrise.

Great Home perfect for a family, we were 4adults and two kids. The Back yard was perfect for setting up games like ladderball and Cornhole (which we brought) and playing with the grandkids. The Beach was close enough even for the 2 year old to walk and both kids (6&2) LOVED it there. White sand beach, clear shallow water, Perfect! Quiet location but not more than 15 min drive for essentials. We would, and probably will stay here again.
