This was a perfect house for a group of old friends and their mostly teenaged kids. We enjoyed the awesome pool w water slide and spa and loved having so much great outdoor space. The interior is well-appointed with very comfy beds and lots of entertainment options. The 9 pm curfew might have been a problem in the summer but since sunset is at 445 pm now, no one felt like hanging out late anyway. El Cajon is a bit out of the way but it’s a very easy drive to all of the fun things in the SD area.

We had a great for the week that we were there. We spent most of our time in the pool with the kids. We would definitely book this property again.

Amazing house and awesome owner!

Everything was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone!

The property and layout of the house did not disappoint. The pool area with the waterfall and swim up bar were very relaxing and beautifully done. The house has tons of space for everyone to have their own events going on or if you want some quiet time to read a book this is easy to do. The owner was very responsive to repair requests and very helpful which made the vacation enjoyable. The only surprise for me was the area that you have to drive thru to get there was a bit disappointing and in no way comparable to this beautiful oasis.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property manager was great to work with and everyone that came was happy we booked. Our only complaint is the curfew. 9pm is really early to go inside, especially with such a nice backyard. It is well documented in the listing, but something to be extra aware of.

This was definitely the nicest rental I’ve ever stayed in an probably ever will. We came to celebrate a 40th bday and had family flying in from across the country, and it was such a memorable few days. We had 5 families all staying together and there was plenty of space for everyone to hang out together and also to escape each other. Everything felt very clean and well maintained. The 5pm check in felt pretty late to us, but the house cleaners were able to let us in the house by 4pm. The backyard and pool is where we spent all our time and it was as spectacular as it looked in the pictures. The daily heating charge is hefty, but we opted in because we had toddlers and babies with us that needed the warmth. I had reached out ahead of time to Gabe to request a temporary fence be installed around the pool for toddler safety, and he agreed to have his handyman install one for us, that felt really above and beyond. We are so grateful for the memories we got to make with our family here.

Glenn was super helpful when he was needed!. The house is wonderful. I got to here laughter and see smiles the entire stay. Even my dogs had a great vacation. We will stay again.

This property was great! We had 15 adults, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Gabe was easy to get ahold of. We loved the outdoor area, great entertaining space! Perfect spot for large groups.

This place was everything as advertised. One of our biggest headaches are when amenities are falsely advertised or are broken. Everything here seemed to work perfectly well, and policies were clear and easy to follow. Gabe was also very accommodating! Overall would definitely recommend!

Great place for a family reunion

Beautiful property with all the amenities that are private yet close to all of the sightseeing adventures in San Diego. The hosts were always available for communication when needed and were accommodating to all requests. I will book again when coming back to the area.

This property is so beautiful and newly refurnished. Host was incredible in terms of hospitality and communication. House was full of all the essentials. We had a very large group and never ran out of toilet paper or towels. Comfortable beds. Beautiful view. Great location. So many fun activities around the property. 10/10 experience we plan on coming back next year!

Absolutely stunning property

It was very nice dealing with owner of property. House was clean, stocked and better then we hoped. House is kinda hard tonl get to but after first time it's no issue. Loved the pool, hot tub and tennis courts. Lots to do. If you message owner you hear back very quickly. I'd recommend to anyone looking for higher end house in San Diego area.

What a truly amazing property with amenities out the wazoo! So much to do right onsite! The beds were comfy, and the owner provided paper products, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish detergent, laundry detergent, as well as a wide assortment of spices/oils. Plenty of space to all hang together or separate for some quiet time! Only 2 negatives - couldn't find any steak knives apart from the butcher block knives and the 9 am - 9 pm curfew was a bummer!! That really needs to be included in the listing! Property was about 25 minutes from everywhere we were interested in visiting, but we knew that before booking. Gabe has done a great job providing all that everyone could wish for and more during their stay. We felt comfortable and safe the entire time. Be careful if bringing small pets, though - we heard a VERY loud coyote one night, sounding like it was right outside in the immediate yard.

We loved our stay and the house was gorgeous!

We took our family on vacation for our animals. We had 9 adults and 7 kids. The house had plenty of room for us all! We went to Sea World and the safari zoo and it was a doable drive to both! The pool was fantastic and we enjoyed the outdoor eating area. We made all our meals there because of all our young kids and the kitchen was well stocked. I’d bring some towels and paper goods, but we were there for 5 days. Gabe was great to communicate with and accommodating to a couple of requests that I had. Bring big spray as there are mosquitoes. Propane bottles were both empty, but I’m sure if I would have told Gabe, he would have taken care of it. Thank you for a fabulous time! Family time is special and your house became a home!

The house and grounds were better than advertised! Lots of room both inside and outside. The pool, waterfall, slide, swim up bar and hot tub were a hit with everyone. Plenty of room to spread out, televisions by the pool and living areas worked great, house A/C cooled everything off nicely, and plenty of easy parking for guests. Gabe was responsive to requests/questions and was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend renting this location!

Great properrty for a group. I hosted my birthday with family and friends and we all enjoyed the pool, slide and jacuzzi. The inside of the home is updated and all the beds were comfy. We had a chef come and cook us dinner and the kitchen well accommodated his needs. Lots of fun games and great TVs and everyone loved the swim up bar. Gabe communicated great with us as we navigated a few things too. We definitely had a great weekend celebrating together.

Perfect stay for a family vacation. Everyone loved the pool and swim up bar. The house was well equipped with everything you will need. Comfortable beds, lots of sleeping spaces and host was easy to get a hold of. We would definitely stay again.

This property is amazing for big groups of people that want to utilize the amenities provided. I had a group of 15 groomsmen/friends to help celebrate my bachelor party weekend and it was great. We spent Friday from ~4-8 PM and Saturday from ~11 AM - 8PM utilizing the backyard and pool. During the night times we traveled to PB for the bars and downtown for clubs, the location of the property made it a little bit of a trip to the bars/clubs but it was worth it for the amenities the property had (space, beds, pool, etc). The only concern we had as a group was the rule regarding no Bluetooth speakers used anytime during day or night. We did end up using a Bluetooth speaker outdoors during the day at moderate sound levels to be respectful of neighbors and had no problems. At nighttime we moved indoors. Like any VRBO you stay at, just try not to be a jerk and blast music louder than what you really need to be respectful of the neighbors. The only things I would make sure to keep in mind is location and pricing since it is a little further from downtown and on the pricier side depending how many guests you have attending.

very very bad .lot of issues at property

The place is just as advertised, the outdoor amenities are excellent and spent nearly our entire time outside. The pool and hot tub kept the adults and kids entertained essentially the entire time. The only disappointing aspect was the 9pm 'curfew', but can appreciate that the owners do not wish to upset the neighbors. No less, we fully intend to visit the property in the future.

The place is even better than the pictures! Beautiful house that was great for our extended family trip. The host was quick to answer questions and we had a fantastic trip. Highly recommend! You will not be dissapointed.

Had a great stay with a large group. It’s a bit off the beaten path but the amenities of the home more than made up for it.

Our whole family really liked all the options for outside games to play. Gabe was prompt in replying to my guestions. The pool with the slide was a big hit. And the spa was great too. Tiki bar refrigerator didn’t work but it wasn’t problem. We’ve already recommended the Rock Star house to another family. Thanks Gabe.
