Our family of four stayed here. We had a wonderful time. The cottage is so cozy and charming. The kids spent much of the time enjoying the lake and the beautiful scenery. Just a fabulous time for everyone. Stay here. You won’t regret it!

This property was a grand slam! 1. Location. Acadia and Bar Harbor are a reasonable and pleasant drive away, Ellsworth and Bucksport as well. 2. Accommodation. Coziest cabin you will ever encounter, with a three season room, a dock, kayaks, clean and comfortable beds. 3. Nature. Brewer Lake is beautiful amazing scenery that included loons, ducks, a chipmunk or two and even an otter. We loved our time here and the hosts were great.

We enjoyed four days of beautiful Maine weather at this lovely cabin right on Brewer Lake. The house was extremely clean and well-provisioned, and accommodated our family group of six (three generations) well. We particularly enjoyed the kayaks and the canoe. We saw multiple loons up close while paddling and heard many more, especially at dusk. The nearby Audubon Center was an added bonus.

Every year we rent a lake house for a week. This was the most beautiful lake we have stayed at so far. The water was beautiful and we saw so many loons. The cottage was ideal and we loved hanging out on the dock, kayaking and being inspired to paint and draw the lovely scenery. It was fun to explore Bangir as well. Perfect week get away!

Such a beautiful cabin. We loved playing on the lake and just watching the wild life. About 1.5hr from Bar Harbor and Acadia or shopping in Camden and Belfast. Enjoyed having a full kitchen to make lunch and dinner or the laundry machine to wash laundry. The girls loved taking the paddleboard and kayak around the lake. Even took an early morning kayak ride around the islands to explore. We will definitely be back.

For us its all about the lake. Once we arrived we didn’t leave until it was check out time. The weather and water temp were perfect. The cottage was clean and welcoming.

I had stayed at this cottage with my mom last year, and we both loved it so much. It’s quiet, clean, beautiful (the TWO wrap-around-the-back porches, one enclosed and one open) are AWESOME and have great views of the lake. I returned myself for a second stay this year and loved it again. I was looking for some peace and healing, and definitely found it here, as my mom did last year. I was able to kayak up and down Brewer Lake (which is beautiful and will always hold a special place in my heart after these two trips); sit on the porches and read, pray, look at the water (and the loons!), etc.; I loved the Adirondack chairs down by the docks for this, too; I was able to easily swim off the dock and rest in the sun on the floating platform; and at night, I was able to settle into their cozy living room and the TV is fully set up for any of your favorite streaming services you have your own accounts for already and I enjoyed staying current with a couple of my favorite shows, too (reading in there was cozy, also). Everything here was wonderful and I was sad when my last night came. I left rested, recharged, at peace, and with more wonderful memories I will always carry with me. (Acadia National Park is also an easy day trip from here and I highly recommend it). The hosts are incredibly responsive and kind: they even left me a sympathy card because they knew I was traveling alone this year and was using the trip mainly to reflect and reminisce.

We love this place!!! This was our second visit. Todd is wonderful.

For once the cabin pictures under promised and on site over delivered. I have been renting cabins in Bangor area for the last 11 years to see the in laws and this cabin is the best ever. Everything was just…nice, the cleanliness, the decor, the furniture, the kayaks, the landscaping, you name it. The location felt like it was off the beaten path yet it was minutes to Brewer or Orrington for dinner and groceries. The sun room wraps around the front and side which makes the cabin so roomy. It was so relaxing to sit in the sunroom and view at the lake, while the kids played in the water. We had a duck family and some loons that hung around that the kids loved (us adults loved hearing the loons as well). Most of our visits, my family and I try to plan excursions, since the cabins have disappointed. This time we cancelled a couple day trips to enjoy the property. I have never rented the same place twice, but that will change with this location. Communication with Todd was top-notch, we can’t wait to return next year - my wife’s family and my daughter insisted we rent this place again.

We stayed at this cottage from June 10th to 17th. This was a true Maine camp experience on a beautiful lake. The cottage was clean, stocked and well cared for. The deck with it's view of the lake was our coffee spot in the morning while watching the loons. The kayaks were a great way to explore the lake and the day that we took the pontoon boat out was absolutely perfect. All in all this is a beautiful piece of property with wonderful hosts, if I could I would give it 6 stars.

We stayed at Mr. and Mrs. Bishop’s Brewer Lake cottage at the end of May 2023. Everything was clean and fresh, decorated comfortably, yet still had that low-key, good-ol’-days vibe. Our family of 6 absolutely loved our stay away from the hustle and bustle of life! It was perfect to slow down and take advantage of the kayaks, canoe, and even the pontoon boat. Everything we needed, and easy access, was a dream. A quick stop at a grocery just about 15 minutes away made planning for meals a breeze. The washer/dryer helped us stay on track of laundry for the week. On the lake, we loved watching the loons, ducks, and even saw a bald Eagle sitting near its nest on the island in the middle of the lake! We also enjoyed fishing off the dock and pontoon. For the days we wanted to get out, Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor were a pleasant hour drive away and just absolutely breathtaking!!! We DEFINITELY recommend this lovely place for anyone!! Bonus, Mr. and Mrs. Bishop were so kind to communicate with, available, and helpful every step of the way. We unfortunately had a dental emergency with one of our children and they were so gracious to help us get in contact with just the right people! Shout out to Dr. Rand at Watermark Dental and Dr. Wright at Downeast Dental!!

We had an amazing weekend stay here at Brewer lake! It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the lake ! It was also perfect for our family as we participated in graduation activities at UMaine in Orono! Clean with thoughtful amenities

The home is very nicely put together and comfortable, right on the lake with an incredible view. Great place to unwind after exploring the area. We experienced car trouble and our host responded immediately with assistance. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful week on the lake! House was perfect. We felt right at home the minute we walked in the door. House was very clean and well stocked. The lake was beautiful and quiet. Staying here was a fantastic way to spend a long weekend up in Maine. This was a first time renting and it could not have gone smoother. The cottage was stunning and the property was beautiful. The lake was peaceful and we enjoyed listening to the loons sing across the water. I also felt that the location was perfect for day trips to Acadia, trips into Bangor, or any number of Maine experiences. I would recommend this property to anyone and hope to return someday!

We traveled from Lebanon,.PA & this beautiful, peaceful & relaxing gem from the day to day of city living was perfect for us & on our first morning we saw & heard a momma Loon with 2 baby loons on the lake! From the booking & communication throughout with the owners was super good & they provide a Welcome Book that provided really good info on the history of Lake Brewer, their personal story & the local info on shopping, restaurant & attractions nearby. The breathtaking views, the swimming, kayaking & canoeing was refreshing! Nice area to walk around. The house is absolutely CLEAN and BEAUTIFULLY decorated & had all the day to day amenities listed on their site needed for our stay. Lots of seating, very good AC, very nice wrap around deck with view of the lake, plenty of room to enjoy quiet time with a book, eat outdoors etc We were a party of 7 and we were comfortable! We roasted marshmallows/hot dogs on the nice firepit & they also have a gas grill. If you're an amateur or a professional photographer, have that camera ready because you will capture some awesome & memorable pictures! If you like to fish, bring that fishing rod and gear! There is a hand dipped ice cream shop called Kozy Korner that was highly recommend & they sell the yummy Moxie soda! Thank you Todd & Cindy for this beautiful rental & your hospitality!

This property is beautiful and the hosts are amazing. They are very attentive and accommodating and we had a wonderful time with our loved ones. Most certainly would rent again!

This place was absolutely incredible. We had so much fun that we are already planning to stay here again. The house was immaculate, the views are immaculate, and the general vibe of this place is incredible. It is simply lovely. Don’t pass this one up!

Our stay was absolutely incredible! Our host was delightful and a wealth of knowledge about the area. The cottage itself is super cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, which was great because we cooked every night. The wrap around porch was one of our favorite places to be. The kayak, SUP, and little island were perfect for exploring the lake. All in all, we'd like to live here!

I highly recommend this rental!! First, the camp is absolutely beautiful. It is very clean, well stocked and so comfortable. Right on the water with beautiful views. Our Grandson came for an afternoon and loved swimming and fishing off the dock - he even commented on how "cool" the camp was. There are kayaks and a canoe but we brought our own pontoon boat so we had access to the whole lake (you can actually see the public boat launch from the camp). The lake is beautiful, fishing was good - lots of salmon and smallmouth bass. The owners respond immediately if you need them and are very pleasant. Unfortunately we were only able to rent this camp for 3 days as it was booked (understandably). We hope to be able to squeeze in another stay this year if available. Next year we hope to be able to get in a couple of weeks. We have rented camps all over Maine and this is, by far, the nicest yet!!

Our time at the lake was great. The house was great, kitchen was well supplied with all the utensils needed to cook about any meal you wish. My sons had a great time using the kayaks out on the lake fishing. They had a great time reeling in the fish. My youngest son actually caught at least a 4 pound bass. Great place to stay. If you are looking for a perfect cottage on the lake, this one is for you!!

Although the weather wasn’t the best for our stay, we were still able to enjoy the lake! Having the kayaks available was an amazing treat, they kept the kids busy, and gave us a chance to explore the lake. We saw loons and Mergansers carrying babies on their back. The dock provided hours of entertainment, from swimming to fishing. We were all cozy in our own beds and bedrooms which, with teenagers, was just what we needed. Our favorite part was the porch. Whether we were playing cards or just chatting, the view of the lake was extraordinary.

Todd and Cindy are so kind! The house was extremely clean and so cute! We enjoyed s’mores by the fire pit, taking the pontoon boat out and just realizing in the Sun room. We will definitely keep this place on our list to visit again!

We stayed for a few days and couldn't have been happier with the property! The pictures online don't really do it justice. The lake provides a beautiful setting for any activity! The hosts were very helpful and actually allowed us to check in early. I would give 6 stars if that was an option!
