Had a nice visit. Very quiet and private. Saw no neighbors at the beach the entire visit or nearby. The house was just the right size for our group of three. The only issue my elderly mother had was stairs getting into house. Once inside though she could get around well.

Rebecca's house is wonderful, beautiful & comfortable. We had plenty of room for 4 adults. Towels were nice & the water pressure is GREAT!!! Plenty of dishes & cookware. Water tasted good, not well water. Internet worked well in the living room.
The shore is rocky, so bringing water shoes is a must. But it's a very easy walk into the water. The use of the Kayaks & bikes were a very nice suprise.
The house sit's on the west side of the island, we had AMAZING sunsets every night.

Celebrated a 75th birthday and visited an old friend on Font Lake. Lots of biking, hiking, kayaking, beach time, with a culmination of the 4th of July Parade and fireworks over the harbor. This was our twelfth stay on Beaver Island, the best yet!!!

Both the home and the island are absolute gems. We had everything we needed in the house itself and the view was perfect. My 10 year old had the time of his life searching the shore for wildlife. The sunsets were stunning. We will be back for sure!

Sundown Shores is one of the coolest places we’ve visited in some time. Step out onto the rocky shoreline at sundown for one of the more spectacular views on Lake Michigan before enjoying a jaw-dropping dark sky.
The home has everything you need, and the new kitchen remodel looks great and is super functional. The interior is clean, cozy and has plenty of character. The living area opens directly out onto the beachfront, so it really feels like you’re sitting on the shore from inside the home, which is perfect on a less-than-perfect weather day.
The included bikes make it a breeze to get around the island. We enjoyed biking to Main Street to get groceries at the market, have a bite to eat at Shamrocks, or simply just walk around and enjoy the island vibes. The islanders are some of the nicest people you’ll meet (and I’m from the Midwest, so that bar is pretty high!)
All-in-all, it’s a truly one-of-a-kind experience that is well worth the trek.

We loved our stay at Sundown Shores! The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. We can't wait to come back!

Wonderful experience! Only thing to note is that the beach is pretty rocky so it’s not an easy to swim in spot but otherwise, five stars! Thanks for bikes in the shed too! Donegal sunset rides were perfect! Also we saw a bunch of monarch butterflies as well as bunnies, deer, snakes, and frogs here.

Beaver Island is already such a wonderful place to visit, but this property made the experience that much better. I came here for a solo writer's retreat and couldn't have asked for a more productive space to work in. It was the perfect size for myself personally, and the incredible waterfront view was something to behold. Rebecca was easily available if I ever had any questions and I cannot wait to book this property again in the near future.

This was our second time renting this property. The upgrades/renovations done made for a more enjoyable stay. We hope to be back next year! The views are fantastic. Perfect location close to town and our favorite beach-Donegal Bay.

We had a great time. The place was beautiful the views were just absolutely amazing. We loved the slow pace of the island and the friendliness. We are already planning our next trip.

Very nice home away from home:)
Check in/checkout processes were made very easy, cozy home located close to downtown yet far enough away for privacy. Beautiful sunsets like you’ve never seen, and clean shoreline for “beach days”. My family and I rate this vacation a 10 out of 10!! Thank you Rebecca for sharing this:)

Tranquility on NW Beaver Island
The sunsets are gorgeous and the beds are comfortable. My grown family enjoyed our week in this secluded oasis from the summer heat. The shoreline kept us occupied by day and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep at night. We're already thinking about our return.
