Clean rooms

It is not a very nice place to relax as there is constant music in the background and a lot of animation in the night. We complained several times. The pool needs to be painted again. The food is nothing special taking into account that its a 4 stars hotel. Location is at the end of Kendwa beach where all the boats park.

Everything was superb including staff,room and food. Good price/value option with friendly people.

The beach in front of the hotel is not fit for swimming as there are fisher boats there. However there are very nice beaches just a couple of meters away from the hotel so no problem.

Great, helpful staff all around. Beautiful location between an authentic village and amazing beach. Restaurant with magnificent view. Very relaxed atmosphere. We liked the food too.

Nothing is there not to like.

the location provided good access to the beach. I would not rate this as a 4 star hotel. It offered basic accommodations. We needed to beds and it was a king and a full size.

No blankets, limited services available at the hotel.

Everything was perfect. Hotel nice and clean. The food was delicious, and drinks well prepared. However, the staff at the hotel are beyond perfection. The care of preparing your bed while you are having a delicious dinner before you go to sleep, the smile of all the staff every single day, asking how was your night, if you had a great day. They are the cherry on the top of the hotel! Wonderful!

Ambiance and place is amazing

Every single member of staff was excellent and attentive! My room was cleaned daily and to a good standard. I had an amazing sea facing room and enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony when it was raining (rainy season). The sunbeds were comfortable and charging stations were right beside them. Food was good, though it could do with a little more seasoning. Still, there was variety to choose from.

We only got to enjoy entertainment from the animation team on our last night. This was due to Ramadan. Perhaps the hotel should consider still putting on (respectful) activities for guests who are not part-taking and have special staff members who can lead the activities in that season . This way, guests can get a full experience from the hotel.

Amazing and welcoming staff, location and view, food ne service. We will definitely be back :)

Breakfast could last longer

This is maybe one of the best hotels in Kendwa. Rooms are very spacious, food was great, stuff was amazing, garden - wow, beach was good although there were some boats in front of the hotel, but 20m from hotel there is another huge beach. It’s very quiet as well. The best here is that the tides are not that big because of the nature of the coast line, it’s not like on the east side where the ocean just disappears for kilometers. I can’t tell enough how thankful I am to Joseph the manager of the hotel. The day before we arrived I received a message from the hotel saying that there is an overbooking and we have to go to another Sansi hotel which is 5* but is located in Michamwi. I was really disappointed to hear that as we did a lot of research and wanted to stay in Kendwa. Then I sent a message to Joseph on What’s up asking for a resolution and to let us stay in Kendwa at least for few days. He agreed and everything was set. On the day we had to move to Sansi Kae they said that there is again an overbooking and sent us to another Sansi hotel in the jungle of Michamwi - Sansi Pearl beach resort. I have never seen such a beautiful and secluded hotel with a private beach just for us. It was so great. So at the end thanks to Joseph we have seen both coast lines. I will remember these people forever as they were so kind

Everything was just perfect

Loved the location. Right on the beach. Staff was friendly. Lots of activities offered. Enjoyed dinner and entertainment first night on the beach.

Our room had ants. While hotel closed area that were coming into the room they did not offer to move us to a different room. Tour operator at hotel overcharged us for dolphin/snorkeling trip to Mnemba island

nothing. The management had double booked the hotel and therefore when we arrived they decided to tell us that they had moved us to there sister hotel. The sister hotel was at the other end of the Island and in the quietest part of the Island. We had booked Kendwa Beach for the lively beaches and areas and unfortunately this is not what we got. The sister hotel had ran out of white wine when we got there and they did not get anymore until 4 days later. This forced us to look elsewhere for a drink although we had paid for all inclusive. Kendwa beach resort refuses to acknowledge any of my emails that I have sent asking for a refund. shocking on their part.

Location is the best. Right at the beach. There are some fishing boats parked in front of the hotel but it is not disturbing and if you walk 5 mins you find a lovely part of the beach for swimming. Hotel staff is excellent, friendly and kind, always smiling and helpful. We felt safe and looked after. There is a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. We also enjoyed the food and the drinks.

We had a brilliant stay at Sansi Kendwa Beach resort. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, and Joseph the manager was exceptional. Our room was clean and comfortable with all the facilities we needed. The food was fresh and of very good quality. The hotel has a stunning beach with plenty of sun loungers and beautiful clear water to swim in. A particular highlight was an amazing dinner on the beach at full moon, thank you to all the staff for arranging this.

It was faultless!

Excellent staff, warm and genuinely nice people that did their best to assure that everyone is enjoying their stay. Overall, a great value for money.

During our stay, there seemed to be some issues with the water, being stopped a few times per day. After 1-2h it would be back to normal, but not great to have this right when you arrive in the room, ready for a shower after being in the pool or beach/ocean. Still, not a major thing and I'm sure that the staff will improve this or it was temporary during the week we were there.

The worst experience of my life. We were overbooked and they reallocated us to another hotel 5stars same company. Very dirty rooms, insects everywhere, two tiny lizards in the room. If that was a 5 star hotel I don't want to know how will be a 4 star hotel.

We loved the food at Sansi Kendwa Beach as well as the staff. The facilities were great and they offer a lot of different entertainments each evening.

The hotel is at the very end of the beach and although it has great sunbeds, the beach at the front is not really "usable" as that's where the boats dock and so you either need to walk 15mins or so every time you want to take a dip or you may as well go and sit at the beach to avoid the constant back and forth. It's predominantly aimed at French visitors so you do end up feeling left out during the activities / evenings as the staff explains everything in French. We stayed a few nights in a room on the groundfloor and of course you end up waking up (as staff or other guests walk around) and not being able to sleep in (although those were meant to be the "nice" rooms with a sea view - there was no sea view from pretty much any of the rooms). Last comment - please stop serving warm beer, that's just not acceptable (:

It is close to the ocean but far away from the tourists.
