The view was gorgeous, staff was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious.

The what's app system for ordering food and drinks poolside was faulty at best and we usually had to go up to the bar to order.

Beautiful grounds and sea view in a quiet, intimate resort setting. Service was excellent most of the time.

Room was a bit small with end of bed too close to console/tv table. Housekeeping service twice a day more than made up for it!

The rules over sunbeds and tables. Also, our room was above the coffee machine so a lot of early morning noise.

Unbelievable staff & service. I will never use Booking.com again as we were trapped in a catch 22 between hotel & booking when trying to make any changes - but the hotel is incredible.

This is a simply beautiful hotel. The staff are wonderful -the service is excellent and the breakfasts are exceptional ! It is situated right on a fantastic beach which was surprisingly sea weed free!

The price of alcoholic drinks ! We were staying in the annex and it was disappointing that we could hear people walking up and down the stairs and across the rooms above us. It may have been quieter in the main building. Having said that… it was a beautiful hotel!

The place is great, the beach is heaven, the food and wine list are excellent, but what really makes the Villa del Re unforgettable is the staff. They are one of the very best hotel staff in Europe for sure, and probably in the world. Without them we would be trying other resorts in Sardegna, but we keep coming back to that gem in Castiadas.

Luxury hotel in a beautiful beachfront location with great views of the beach and sea from all locations. Lovely pool - the best we found in Sardinia. Beach and pool service were 1st class. Food was excellent. Service was first class - on our day of leaving they booked us a courtesy room in their basement and at the agreed time our cases were in there and we showered and changed before leaving. The cases were put into the car and the car brought up outside of reception - all done very professionally. Lovely quiet sandy beach - we walked to the end of it twice a day. Probably the best bathroom we found - great shower and bathroom well serviced

Food and drinks expensive - food is quite rich, with few simple meal options. Breakfast is served to the table which feels over formal - would much prefer buffet style. Room location meant our outdoor area wasn't very private.

lack of facilities like gym or a proper spa, limited choice of restaurants and menus. Restaurants are pretentious and expensive… It’s in the middle of nowhere if you need a taxi you need to book advance with the reception etc.

Amazing service! The staff is so helpful and professional. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely never had such a good service like that before.

The down side could be the overpriced menu (pool, and both restaurants) but the food was amazing anyway!

We loved the beautiful outside areas, the stunning infinity pool and sun lounger areas that over look the beach. We loved the private beach, the warm clean sea and the efficient beach service (using what’s app) . The hotel was exceptionally clean and luxurious. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The 2 restaurants gave exceptional service and ran like clockwork.

We thought that the infinity bar evening service for pre dinner drinks required more attention, to give guests the ultimate warm welcome and enjoyment. We felt that staff were more focused on the restaurant operations rather than serving sundowner drinks, which we certainly wanted to take in and enjoy during our stay.
