Everything was as advertised. Hot tub was great and beds were very comfortable. Host was very nice and quick to respond to any questions or messages. Would book this place again.

Amazing property, kids and family loved the pool and our friends rented the house across the street and we had a little friend community in Amelia for a week. I would recommend this property to anyone!

Lovely house, great pool/spa, kitchen/bathrooms were well organized, spacious rooms nicely decorated. Great location across street from beach & close to nice restaurants & Clinch State Park. The house felt like a home then a rental!!

I absolutely hate to leave this review. However the property screams maintenance deferred and the owner has checked out. Pool was dirty, bugs (needs pest control). The yard and grounds have not been mowed, weeded or maintained in months. The secondary bath is not located inside the house. It is actually a concrete laundry room and bath located in a breezeway outside home near pool. This property is extremely overpriced. The furniture has seen better days both inside and pool area. I feel robbed at almost 600.00 per night for Labor Day Weekend.

We enjoyed the home so much. It was perfect for long walks on the quiet beach. The sand and water are beautiful here. The house was always nice and cool . The beds are very comfortable and we loved the house. The pool looks brand new and we were so impressed the pool cleaner comes 2 times a week. All of the bedding, appliances are higher quality than you normally see in a vacation rental. We will be back.

This was perfect for our family! The house was so close to the beach AND the pool was a hit with the kids. It had everything we needed without being too big or too much. We loved having our pup with us for the week, too.

I’m going to preface this review by saying for the last decade, we have only vacationed in homes at the beach that have pool. This house was well stocked, which is something we appreciated. The inside of the house is as described and was fine for our family of three. However, the pool and outside need some major work. The landscaping needs some major tlc. They could have a great outside space just by cleaning things up a bit. The biggest issue we had with this home was the pool and the pool was the major reason we rented this house. First, the pool was constantly dirty. Yes it rained and yes there are some trees around. However, we have vacationed with pools that were not this dirty and were also exposed to the elements. The hot tub did not work at all while we were there. We let the owner know of this midway through the week when we asked to pay to heat the pool. The pool/hot tub heater never got fixed until the final day when they claimed it was fixed. However, on our last day, we had to use the hot tub to “swim” and it took from 10am-4pm for it to heat to 90 degrees. We did receive a small amount of money back after we reached out to the owner and an offer for a small discount for a future stay- we will not be back. Jan is cohost and she was very kind and nice to work with. However, we stopped hearing from the owner, Ashley,completely. If you are looking for a place and will be using the pool frequently, I’d look somewhere else to spend your hard earned money.

We had a great experience at this property and Fell in love with the area while visiting. House was as listed and very clean. Kids loved the outdoor area and pool. Everything you need is in stock and had the best communication from management we’ve ever experienced. We will be back!

The house was great. Very clean, great location. Exactly as described and pictured. The landscaping and out of control grass, shrubs and weeds left a lot to be desired. Overall, nice place and would consider staying again in the future.

Perfect beach home! Convenient location, roomy with 3 beds, beautiful pool and hot tub. The host was very prompt in communicating. I believe the area may be plagued with palmetto bugs, so we found a few belly up, however the home was clean and well kept. Would definitely stay again.

This property is perfect for a family that considers their pets family too. I loved having a hot tub especially since the wearing was not beach weather. Landscaping definitely needs some TLC but that’s honestly the only thing. I’m so happy my husband found the gem of a place. We are planning next years vacation now!

We had a wonderful time at this cozy home, which is located across the street from the beach and a few blocks from restaurants and a park. The swimming pool was the highlight for our family, particularly on days when it was too windy for the beach. The home is clean and well stocked with everything you may need. Ashley was a pleasure to work with and was always ready to help. It was the perfect getaway for our overly busy family.

The description of this property was right on! My husband and I were very comfortable and in spite of chilly temps and drizzles enjoyed our time here. The location was great for those who enjoy the beach and the neighborhood behind the house was perfect for walking the dog. And the north island is very low key and down to earth. We loved being so near Fernandina Beach downtown. Ashley was so responsive and gave us good advice about restaurants in the area. She was the best host we’ve had at a VRBO!

We had such a great experience. The Host was very accessible and did there best to handle any issues. Two bathrooms just be ware one bathroom is outside just off the pool and is not heated in winter. That took some getting used too at first but brought back memories of my childhood. Added bonus they added a hot tub and pool. We could never get the hot tub figured out on heat but that was OK We didn't expect one anyway. Property was very clean and short walk to beach. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Gave the property information to my niece so they will be booking for this summer.

Our family agrees that this was one of the best beach vacations that we have ever taken. The house was in a great location. It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach. The wagon that comes with the property seemed to be out of commission for our stay (the tires were flat), but it really wasn't needed because of the proximity to the beach. Also, please note, there are stairs to get onto the beach. The rental comes with a large amount of beach gear. The house is small but very well appointed. The owner has taken great care to provide every possible thing you may need for a pleasant beach stay. As mentioned, the 2nd bath is separate from the main house. My family affectionately named it "The Sandbox." It is clean, serviceable, and has a very nice washer and dryer combo. There is even a portable air conditioning unit in there. Plugs are limited, so you might want to bring a charger that can accommodate multiple items as we did. If you bring pets, there is a lovely, picturesque neighborhood behind the house for walking if you don't feel like de-sanding your furry companions. Without hesitation, we would stay here again.

Nice house with amenities for beach visit. Outdoor shower/bathroom was private and not an issue for us. Close to Ft Clinch and main beach park. Our long haired dog picked up burrs constantly in yard and on walks which was a bummer. TV looks like piece of art which was cool.

Ease and professionalism of host made this a wonderful trip. Access to the beach was a walk away. We experienced sunshine, seclusion, peacefulness and the house was amazing. We missed the TV; I went out and bought one and than we discovered the picture on the wall was a tv. We laughed and then went and played monopoly. The area was pet friendly and the home was spotless. Our mini vacation was enjoyed by all.

We had a great time. Listing was accurate, home was clean, and comfortably furnished. Our host was immediately responsive to any needs. We had friends and family stop by and visit, easy quick access to the beach, centrally located on the island to resorts and downtown. Great setting — bungalow beach place — We had a lovely time.

The home was close to the beach. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the yoga sleep fans in each of the bedrooms. We were able to have beach umbrellas and chairs delivered to the beach for us.

Nice and cozy home with easy beach access. Spacious bedrooms and a dream shower in the 1 interior bathroom. Out door bathroom in the washer/dryer room is quite convenient. All appliances work well and the AC kept the house cool. Great location across the street from the ocean, with a short 1 block walk to beach access. Ashley and Brian are very accessible to reach when you need them.

Close to downtown and beach. Perfect for a quick getaway! Just be aware that the second bathroom is set out on porch area- perfect for after beach showers. Had everything we could need- beach towels and beach chairs.

We so enjoyed our vacation at Fernandina. The cottage was absolutely adorable! It was comfortable, clean and had plenty of room. The walk to the beach was just around the corner and the outside sitting area was my favorite. It stormed a few days and the cozy outside area was perfect for relaxing and viewing the ocean. We truly had a fabulous week and will definitely return soon. The Carter Family 😀

We loved Amelia Island and loved this house! It was only steps away from a quiet part of the beach and it easily housed our family. Highly recommend !
