Ein außergewöhnlich schöne Wohnung mit sehr viel Charme in einem historischen Gebäude in Colmar. Das Design ist einzigartig, und die Einrichtung der Wohnung sehr hochwertig und wohl durchdacht. Es fehlte an nichts. Die Lage mitten in der Altstadt war perfekt um die Stadt zu erkunden, und dennoch wohnte man absolut ruhig. Der kleine Balkon, der zum hübschen Innenhof geht, war wunderbar zum Frühstücken oder um ein Gläschen Wein am Abend zu genießen. Der Vermieter Javier war unglaublich aufmerksam und liebenswürdig, gab uns jede Menge tolle Insider Tipps und war immer erreichbar. Für mich bisher die schönste Ferienwohnung mit dem nettesten Gastgeber, die ich bisher hatte. Ich kann diese Wohnung zu 100% empfehlen.

Lovely quirky apartment, well appointed & in excellent situation for central Colmar. Delightful host always available for advice or recommendations. Ideal to tour surrounding villages, (well worth paying for host's nearby garage parking). Would rent again.

Les thématiques de mon séjour étaient : bien-être et Noël. Tout était parfait. Tout d'abord le lieu : l'appartement est parfaitement placé. Au coeur du vieux Colmar. À deux pas des marchés de Noël, des magasins, des restaurants des Spas et instituts de soins, du cinéma... Ensuite le logement : Très belle décoration raffinée, sobre et chaleureuse. Tout est pensé pour que l'on ne manque de rien et que l'on se sente bien. La literie est très bonne. Enfin, Javier, l'hôte : Mais quelle personne adorable ! Généreux, soucieux de notre bien-être, donne de nombreux conseils et TRÈS sympathique. Merci ÉNORMÉMENT !😍 Au plaisir 😊

Pasamos cuatro noches en el apartamento de Javier, la ubicación es perfecta para pasar unos días en la ciudad, está en pleno centro muy cerca de todos los servicios. La vivienda es genial cuenta con todas las comodidades y la decoración es maravillosa, todo está muy cuidado y limpio. Javier, el anfitrión es estupendo, muy atento desde el inicio siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Sus consejos fueron de mucha utilidad " Le Palais Gourmand" para comer tarte flambleé sin duda todo un acierto. Volveremos a este maravilloso lugar y no dudaremos en regresar a este alojamiento, gracias Javier por todo.

We are an Australian couple who have been travelling in France for the last 11 months before our return home to Australia. And we couldn't have chosen a better apartment and location for our last month in France. The apartment is beautifully decorated with everything one requires, in a superb location. Our wonderful landlord Javier met us there upon our arrival and went out of his way to make our stay perfect, even with the difficulty of the restrictions. He assisted us with a hire car and always made sure we had everything we needed. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.

We have been guests in Bois et Velours of 5 days. Host Javier is very friendly, showed us around and had lots of suggestions for Colmar and surroundings. The apartment is exactly as in the photos: very tasteful decorated with beautiful details. Cosy balcony at the rear overlooking a old courtyard. Ideal spot for a last glass of wine in the late evening. The apartment is fully equipped. Although the apartment is “around the corner of the inner city” you still image yourself being in a oasis of peace.... Parking is difficult so we booked the private parking box of Javier, which is only a few minutes walk away. In short, we can highly recommend Bois te Velours and we would like to return one day.

Javier was the perfect host, even before we arrived! He went out of his way to help us out the night of our arrival, and checked things were going ok during our stay. The apartment was exceptionally decorated; a perfect combination of historical character, stunning decor, and cosy warmth. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Loved staying here! Everything about it was as expected or exceeded expectations!. The location was great...we did not have a car and were able to walk to/from the train station (10 to 15 minute walk). And, the apartment is right in the middle of anything and everything you want to see in Old Town (we teased that everything was a 4 minute walk). The apartment was cozy and welcoming with high-end finishing touches. An abundance of room for 2 people. And, the bed was extremely comfortable. The little balcony became our own little evening escape. Javier went above and beyond in helping us identify activities and dinner reservations. We would definitely stay here again!!

I can't say enough great things about this apartment. It is beautiful, comfortable, and in a perfect location. Shops are just steps away and Petite Venice is a very short walk. Javier was a perfect host. He kept in constant contact to ensure we were met on arrival, and assisted with parking our car in a private garage. He also provided many restaurant recommendations as well as information for the Tour De France which ran through Colmar during our visit. Colmar is a beautiful town and the experience with our rental made the visit extra special. Thank you Javier for making our vacation so very memorable!!!

We had the most amazing stay in Javier's apartment. Everything was perfect and i really mean everything!! The house, the location but most of all Javier! We will for sure come back.

This place is awesome, both location-wise and amenity-wise. Javier was extremely helpful, and even got us a couple of last minute reservations for dinners. We also got to converse with him in English, Spanish, and French, sometimes all at the same time! ;-) We will definitely be coming back.

Javier was a perfect host. Despite our late arrival he made arrangements to ensure we were comfortable even reserving a place at a local restaurant on Christmas holiday season at last minute. Nothing was too much trouble and it immediately made us feel relaxed. The apartment was perfectly appointed, warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated with the owners unique charm. The location was so convenient for exploring the town, it was charming, cosy and full of character. Had the best nights sleep in the super comfy bed. Loved it. Javier was a consummate host. He made our stay special and gave great recommendations on places to eat and visit. Javier’s place offered every comfort of home. His artistic touches everywhere were a delight. We look forward to coming back in another season.

We stayed at the Bois & Velvet home in July 2018. Overall, we would highly recommend Javier's Bois & Velvet! The place was the perfect size for two of us and was very well decorated. Javier was very friendly and accommodating throughout our entire stay. He also offered great restaurant and sight-seeing recommendations for us to explore during our few days in Colmar. Javier went out of his way to help us when the airline lost one of our bags on the flight over, even offering to have the bag dropped at a friend's shop nearby since we were out of the apartment for most of the days. We utilized the unit as a base to explore part of the Alsace region as it is centrally located within Colmar and nearby to many small vineyards/towns. We were able to rent bikes to visit the small vineyards/towns, and Javier allowed us to store the bikes in the trash room within the small interior courtyard, which was very convenient. The bedroom and bathroom is located on the second floor, which is accessed via a spiral staircase. Both floors have large windows that face a plaza area and local street. There is no air conditioning in the unit (as is the case for most places in the area), but with the windows open at night, there is a nice breeze through the unit (and fans were provided). Even though the unit faces a plaza on one side, it was relatively quiet at night. We did not utilize the small kitchen to cook, but it is well equipped with any utensils you would need. There is also a small living space with a couch, television, and small table. If we are ever back in Colmar, we would certainly look to stay here again!

The property is a beautiful 3 story house with a small courtyard terrace. It is tastefully decorated and was well equipped with everything we needed. It's located in the lovely old centre of Colmar and close to many bakeries and a monoprix supermarket for those wanting to self cater. We had a hire car so it was very useful to have the private garage a short walk away. Javier is an excellent host and took time to suggest a range of things to see and do, both in Colmar and in her surrounding area. We would love to return someday soon.

We stayed in this beautifully presented apartment for two wonderful weeks exploring Colmar and surrounds. The attention to detail and thoughtful inclusions were exceptional with a very warm welcome and everything we needed to enjoy this picturesque and interesting town. No need for a car, a great walking town and we used local buses to visit other nearby towns. Many great eating places and friendly locals. A very enjoyable and relaxing introduction to the Alsace region with the most amazingly good weather for the entire stay.

I wish we could award more than 5 stars. This flat is a superb exercise in mixing modern interior design with a charming timber framed house. It is wonderfully well equipped and very comfortably furnished and it is right in the middle of a ridiculously picture postcard perfect town. The lock-up garage 10 minutes walk from the flat is a huge bonus in a town where parking space is rare and expensive. The Unterlinden Museum is closed for much of 2015 but the alternative display of probably its most famous works of art, the Issenheim altarpiece, is not more than 100m from the flat. Bakers, delis, restaurants and general shops are all available with in the same distance. Slightly further away is the restaurant Atelier du Peintre where were had a meal that was a glorious firework display of flavours. The station is slightly further away than the garage. Trains into Strasbourg are fast and frequent and it is a city full of sights and museums that are well worth visiting. And then there's the wine route. We weren't able to spend as much time following it as I would have liked but we made one very worthwhile call to the Cave de Beblenheim where we found all sorts of very good wines to try and to buy at very reasonable prices. Thank you Javier and Romuald for providing such a perfect base to explore all that Colmar and the Alsace have to offer.

Even after nine days in this beautiful apartment, I still felt sad leaving! It had the most beautiful ambiance, with wonderful artistic decor and unique touches. The apartment's location, at the entrance to the magical 'old town' of Colmar, was superb. We loved watching from the window as tourists turned the street corner and immediately reached for their cameras. We felt incredibly fortunate to be 'one of the locals' if only for a short while. Romuald and Xavier were the most welcoming and informative hosts it has been our pleasure to meet on our frequent travels. I would be happy to just wrap this apartment up in cotton wool and transport it to all our future travel destinations. We are already planning a return visit to Colmar, a beautiful town rightfully proud of its local cuisine and traditions, and would look no further than this apartment for our stay. My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of spending five wonderful nights in this beautiful apartment in the Old Town of Colmar. The location couldn't be better: 10 minutes from the train station, 10 minutes from Petit Venise, on a quiet square near super markets, bakeries and delicious restaurants. Romuald made us feel more than at home, welcoming us with cookies and a lovely bottle of local sparkling wine. This apartment comes with the highest of recommendations; an absolutely pleasurable experience all around. Thank you!
