Great place great location

This house is well appointed. We were comfortable and enjoyed our time hanging out around the fire.

One of our favorite trips every year is snowshoeing into Trillium Lake for a few days. This was our first time staying at this house and we loved it. Nice to have 4 bedrooms to spread out. Kitchen / dining / living are on the smaller side but because they’re all open to one another, it worked fine for us. We loved the covered front porch and were delighted to have so much snow this year to play in. Also loved that this house is off the main trail so incredibly peaceful.

This house was so cute and just what we needed. We really needed some time together...this was perfect. This time of year there's not much else to do in this location with the ski hill closed. There is no shampoo so bring your own. Cabin was well stocked with all other amenities. Both bathrooms are on the main floor with only one bedroom. Note that if you have people staying/sleeping upstairs or downstairs they will need to either go up/down stairs to use the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and cabin was SUPER clean. I would recommend this location for sure. Thank you for having us!!!

we really enjoyed this property. we exclusively used the main floor, and deck. it was a super quiet property - very relaxing. would definitely stay here again. the property managers were also very excellent. great job.

It’s hard to call this beautiful historic cabin a cabin as it had all the amenities you’d need for a comfortable stay. We were lucky enough to get 3 feet of snow during our trip and this place is truly a winter wonderland in December! Miles of X-country and snow shoe trails surround this location. We can’t wait to book this again!

This cabin is incredible! The 2 acre property is a perfect buffer from all surrounding cabins and has a great yard for a dog. We stayed during the record-breaking heat wave and spent many afternoons sitting in the ice cold creek that ran next to the property. The basement bedrooms stayed nice and cool as well. The beds downstairs and the master were super comfortable. We did not use the upstairs space, so I cannot comment on comfort, however the cabin sleeps a ton of people! The kitchen was well stocked will everything you could possibly need to cook at home. The covered porch with table was a really nice space to eat, play games, work or just relax on. The internet worked well enough to get emails or even stream videos. The only issue we ran into was that we kept getting splinters from the wood chips. We are outdoor mountain people, so we dealt with it, but just a head's up when walking around barefoot :) Trillium Lake is a short drive or walk and great, easy access to Timberline. We LOVED this place and cannot wait to come back next year.

The cabin was great. Relatively easy to get to, private and serene. Right on a stream with no close neighbors. Plenty of beds and space. Third floor has several beds, main floor has a very nice master with private bath and second full bath, living room is well laid out, dining room is spacious and kitchen had everything we needed for multiple family meals. Great grill and fire pit area although we didn't use it. The front porch is fantastic with another outdoor dining table and chairs. Bring bug spray and bug candles. Also benefit of a second fridge and second laundry in the downstairs utility room which is big enough for bikes and other storage. Easy check in / check out. The bike ride to trillium is longer than expected with a few big hills, but doable for capable riders. Easy walk however. Highly recommend the property overall.

Perfect cabin in the perfect location. Very conveniently located right between Timberline and Trillium. It was the perfect mix of being secluded with the outdoors while still being very comfortable and close to everything.

Marshall Cabin certainly met our needs. Not too far from Government Camp, past the Still Creek Campground, right alongside a peaceful creek and tucked into the woods. A true cabin experience with the amenities you need. The kids loved playing by the creek, mountain biking, and feeding the birds. A short 2 mile bike ride to Trillium Lake. We hope to rent again down the road. There are a handful of properties around it but still feels secluded with the trees and large lots. We are a family of 6 and felt like we could have slept several more. It is 3 levels, the main level is up a good flight of stairs. Our dog is a bit of an old timer and struggled a little bit with that. That said, the covered porch at the top was my favorite spot. Nice outdoor dining setup where you can birdwatch and listen to the creek. Wonderful place to sip your coffee in the AM, wine in the evening or just have a meal with family/friends. Would love to experience it in the winter time as well. One small maintenance item was the skillet on the stove did not get hot enough while we were there. It was a fully stocked kitchen so had no issues making an audible. In summary, place is a gem and we really enjoyed our stay.

Had a nice quiet weekend at the cabin. It started raining on Friday night so we were stuck inside all day on Saturday but the cabin was roomy enough that we had plenty to do. Would definitely stay there again.

My two young sons and my mother had no trouble with the walk - only challenge was keeping the paper map dry. The cabin is big, clean, comfortable, very well maintained, near a creek and not too far from neighbors. I loved the sound of the creek out the kitchen window. We built a fire every night. The bedrooms can get chilly, but there are plenty of blankets. Internet and TV worked fine, but who really needs that out here? We played board games, did puzzles and made hot cocoa at night. During the day we snowshoed, cross country skiied and built snow forts. It is not too far to hike back out to Government Camp. Overall, a wonderful escape from city life.

Marshall Cabin was incredible. Located conveniently in Govt Camp, but tucked away down a long dirt road back in the beautiful wilderness. When we arrived we were so impressed with not only the history of this historic cabin, but how up to date it is. It has all of the modern amenities with everything you would need, and so much room, yet still has a cozy feel. We felt right at home the moment we arrived. Two days in we were lucky enough to get snow and had a blast XC skiing and snow shoeing to and from the Cabin. It was magical. We also got a day in at Timberline, which was beautiful. Highly recommend this incredible cabin. We will be back!

It's obvious that someone put a lot of thought and energy into making it everything a secluded cabin in the woods should be. The kitchen includes just about everything you could possibly need to cook meals for two or ten. The heart pine floors are gorgeous, and the picture windows never let you forget how beautiful it is outside. My husband got a kick out of the wood stove, too. I still can't get over the creek that runs along one side of the house. It's the most peaceful home I think I've ever stayed in. Working with Mount Hood Vacation Rentals was awesome. They were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The (electric) stove actually broke one evening toward the end of our trip, and they had a repair person out by noon the next day. He fixed it in about an hour. We were impressed. It was very convenient to be so close to hiking trails. We hiked Tom, ****, and Harry Mountain and Elk Meadows. The former trailhead is a 5 minute drive from the cabin, and the latter is about 20 minutes. Apple picking at Kirokawa Family Orchard was also a fun activity when it rained on the mountain, and only about 35 minutes away. We really couldn't have been happier. We would love to come back!

We had a great time. The cabin was great! It was clean and well appointed down to the smallest detail. Very secluded, but easy to find with the directions provided. We would love to come back in the winter for a ski trip!

This property was one of the best experiences we’ve had so far! We try to make a quick getaway once a year and try different rentals throughout the Mt Hood area. I must say, this was more than what we’d hoped for. We especially loved the family history of this cabin! We immediately felt like it was our home for the weekend! Highly recommend this property!!!

The Marshall Cabin was exactly what I was hoping for to celebrate my husband's birthday up on Mt. Hood. Loved hanging out on the deck at this tucked away cabin. There was plenty of space for our group to all sleep comfortably. It was a perfect 2 mile hike on the dirt road down to Trillium Lake -especially under the stars. Everyone at Mt Hood Vacation Rentals was so friendly and helpful. We are already planning our next stay at the Marshall Cabin!
