First off the positive- this apartment was very clean, and in their defense they do state several times in their description how worn and dated many of the items and furniture within are. They also warn you in advance that here will be ants, and there were- nothing crazy and not due to cleanliness, but just constant little ants. And the location is really great - truly steps to the beach, and with its own spacious sunny patio. It also had a great garage fully stocked with well organized beach toys, surfboard, bikes, games and so much more. All in all the apartment itself is just not very comfortable- bedrooms much smaller than expected, primary bedroom needs a new bed, no dressers or luggage racks, and might need a few new towels to be rotated in since most were in good shape but a few were stained. Overall, a fine place to stay if you want to be right in the thick of restaurants and beach access, but not if you place a very high premium on comfort given the photos and price.

If outdated, musty, and unclean places are your thing- this place is for you! The lock on the gate without a combo was a great way to start after our long drive. Should have been a sign. It was all downhill from there. After hours of back and forth, the management company finally figured it out.

Was unclean when we arrived. Beds slept in, only dirty used towels, gate locked. Spent hours on with the property management trying to fix the issue. We ended up going somewhere else. If you like dingy, outdated, mildew-smelling places- then this is the one for you

Had a great time at this little place with my two young boys. The beach is SO close and we got to see a ton of sealife on the rocks at low tide. Ventura had a lot to offer for activities. We did a Channel Islands boat tour and sailed with a mega pod of dolphins! So memorable!

Nice quiet, relaxing stay, loved the proximity to the beach & neighborhood restaurants

The home was just as listed. Very comfortable and incredibly close to the beach, restaurants and grocery. Great communication with the property management.

Perfect location, great management, responsive and fast. We needed 2 bdrm, and a dog acceptance for reasonable price. Place was very clean and had everything one needs to stay near the beach. Bedrooms are on a small site, one was with a bunk bed. But the price was very appealing.

My husband and I stayed the whole month of July. The location was A+ and the property had access to lots of amenities in the garage that we took advantage of. We had a great time riding bikes to the pier, playing corn hole on the beach with our daughters. We had a maintenance issue at the end of our stay and it was taken care of promptly. Overall enjoyed all the restaurants close to the house.

Poor drainage in tub caused dangerously slippery shower floor. No safety bars. Mattress made it difficult to sleep and caused us to leave a day early

This is a cute little beach house just steps from the beach. The back patio is lovely with a large table and umbrella. The little kitchen is cute and functional. We also enjoyed using the bikes for a ride on the beach trail. Would definitely stay again!

However, this year there were things wrong in the kitchen. Our practice is to rinse things in the kitchen as we use them. All the dishes, glasses, cooking and eating utensils, pots and pans had to be rewashed. There was something wrong with the oven knob so we couldn’t use the oven. The refrigerator door needs to open up to the kitchen not the living room. 10AM is checkout. A later check out would be much appreciated. I believe I said this in my first review. Our 3rd visit will be the charm.

The property was clean and well maintained. There was no option of early check in or departure. There is a “common” storage area which included a barbecue, a canoe, and beach chairs that we were not able to locate. I contacted the property manager and they were not able to assist me. There is a “private” room of the owner that had a radio on the first night which made it difficult to sleep. Someone was sent out the next morning to turn the radio off. All in all, the location was exceptional and we’d stay in the property again.

Overall a pleasant stay. Older home, great location! Kitchen faucet needs some work and removal of unexpected bugs in the kitchen drawers would be appreciated. A bit of a railing around the entrance would make it safer for young children and older adults!

This property delivers!! Great place. Adorable patio fully fenced yard! I brought my Labrador and the yard was perfect!! Very close to beach access, maybe 5 houses down from the beach! Adorable coffee cafe around the corner and plenty of food options within .25 miles! Would definitely stay again!! Wonderful!!
